    Wow. I’ve been learning the freestyle variant of the grapevine. I did not realize that this worked for waking cones. The way you skate it accentuates properties of this move even more. Perhaps this is a better way to learn the move even for those skating it the freestyle way.

      Hey, thank you very much! I'm glad to hear you like the way I do the grapevine. It's always good to learn and practice techniques and tricks in assist of some obstacles. If you draw lines on the ground, as well as use some cones, it's very easy to follow the right movement and so it's easier to learn and improve the Grapevine. 🙂✌

    Today I've been trying Mabrouk slalom. I am doing a forward criss-cross, turning on the left side 180 , backward criss-cross , turning again on the leftside 180 (instead of turning on the rightside 180) . Is this the same or has a different name ? Or a variation ? I can't find anything about this

      That's a good question. I would say it's not the same, but it's a variation. 😀✌

    I was taught that these two elements are different, not the same. I didn't know that Mabrouk is called a Grapevine. I know that the second name of Grapevine is Crazy :D

    The upper body is what sells the grapevine. Constantly looking down at cones and rotating the shoulders ruins the effect IMO.

      You're totally right. for me it's the same. I'm not really satisfied with my Grapevine, but it's good enough to show others what a Grapevine is. I'm still workoing on the Grapevine to improve it. 😉

    Can i use flat inline skate to do this? Or more hard than use slalom inline

    • @skamidanen
      @skamidanen  3 роки тому

      What do you mean with flat inline skates? In general you can do this with all skates. But the shorter the wheel base / frame and the stiffer your skates, the easyer. 🙂✌

      @@skamidanen sorry, i mean a flat wheel, like 4x80
      Ohh i see, the shorter wheel Base can do better for this, thank youuu

      @@Babehdanotong No worries, it also works with flat wheels, but it's much better using a bullet or rounded wheel profile.
