      Clipping your ends can’t really “help” hair growth since your hair grows from your roots . Not your ends

    Just so you ladies know, you can wash your hair even while their in braids. I wash my hair twice a week and deep condition every time and seal with the LOC method after. My new growth is poppin. But I'm happy leaving it alone worked for her. I've learned my hair personally can't go that long without being washed, conditioned and moisturized because I have VERY low porosity hair. And all of that while my braids have been in for 2 months now.

    I took my mom's hair down last night she had a weave in for five months. It was super matted. It came out pretty easy though with a bit of water and coconut oil. (Any thick lubricating oil would work) There was definitely a lot of shed hair. 5 months worth of shed hair lol, but I got her hair detangled in about 30-40min once the braids were out. Her hair is pretty long, high density, medium to thick strands. And after it was detangled she went ahead and cleansed normally.

    Greetings Miya, as a lose natural I would leave my beehive braids in my hair for 4-6 months. My hair would have a similar build-up. Before, I would unravel the braids I would oil my scalp with avarcordo oil. After the takedown, I would rinse out the oil. Next I would do a baking soda and apple cider vinegar rinse. Then I would wash my hair with a moisturizing shampoo. I am currently semi-freeformed loc'd. But I still use this moisture routine from time to time.
    Your hair looks super nourished, thanks for sharing your technique.

  • @sharisss2608
    @sharisss2608 5 років тому

    I’ve gotten a sew in and left it in for 3 months the worst thing ever because it took twice as long to wash it but my hair grew 5 inches if you leave your hair braided like that I’d recommend wash in the scalp even with dry shampoo and leave in conditioner and keep it moisturized honestly it’ll grow your hair but so will getting it done every three weeks or so as long as it’s being taken care of it’ll grow

  • @akab3648

    If you’re gunna leave it long to wash your hair, before you wash try putting coconut oil or olive oil on your scalp to soften the dirt etc. Rub it in small circles all around and leave it for like 30-1h or longer. When you wash your hair the dirt comes out more easily because it’s softened.
    When you put conditioner in put like a shower cap on and a scarf on top after to give it some warmth, and let it do its magic for like 45 mins. Rinse (leave a bit of conditioner in), and then remember to leave your hair damp and moisturised during styling :D detangle with fingers, then comb, then brush

    Repent and give your lives to Jesus Christ. He will transform your life and lead you in the right path. He will set you free from depression,anxiety,sin,sicknesses and diseases. He will stand by you and give you peace ,joy and happiness. Ask Him to come into your life today and experience bliss. Who the son sets free is free indeed.(John 8:36)

      It's different for 4 type hairs. Since they're more curly than 2 types or 3 types, the natural oils take way longer to reach the ends of the hair. So it isn't as oily and it doesn't smell as much.
