. Dirt does not make your hair grow. It’s the lack of manipulation that is preventing breakage. Dirt can actually prevent growth by clogging your hair follicles. A lot of my natural clients used to say that but now since coming to me are amazed their hair is still growing just by being gentle and loving with their hair and still doing it often. .

It can also be sebum. I tried washing my hair with solid shampoo instead of regular shampoo. It can be a lot gentler. So i make my own bar soap and it is designed to lightly move the sebum down my hair shaft and kind of leaving some of it there if thay makes sense? But when i started doing this my ends were always lubricated, so my ends weren't braking as much. My hair is more thick.
Moral of the story, keep the ends not only moisturized, but lubricated with oil.

You can wash your hair with the braids in like once a month and condition it as well. Then use a liquid leave in and seal with a heavy oil/butter (castor oil or whipped shea butter)

It’s not the dirt and oils. It’s because when you don’t tamper with the hair, it doesn’t break, hence you retain your length.
Best way to grow your hair tbh. If you keep at this you’ll be at waist length in no time 😭😭

Hi! I just wanted to tell you that God loves us because in John 3:16 it says "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life", That Son is Jesus Christ. I would like to say that if you haven't already given your life to Christ, please do because He is the only one that can give us salvation. The truth of the matter is that living a worldly lifestyle/ living in the flesh is what causes us to sin (Like lying, fornicating, stealing, etc), which DOES lead to hell. That's why we need to ask for forgiveness cause though God loves us, He DOES NOT like sin as He is a Holy God. If you are a unbeliever please ask the Lord Jesus Christ to reveal Himself unto you and He will do so! Repent, ask for forgiveness, be baptised, walk how Christ wants us to walk and be saved. Sending much love in Jesus Christ name.

Low manipulation is what really help but you can still wash/deep conditioner/conditioner/oil hair in these protective style. I’ve done box braids/sew in/Senegalese twist/cornrows for 6 months max. All you do is get some good edge control and a good boar bristle brush to slick the edges and keep it cute. Currently rocking a sew in for 6 months, 3 months down, 3 to go. Also if want to blow dry sew in, use a plastic brush and hair dryer with heat protective spray (treseme or chi brands). Went from 3rd big chop to back length myself in a year.

I leave my braids in for the similar amount of time. I really hit huge ponytail length because all of the protective styling and breaks in between. Take down process consist of oil , conditioner, and denman brush

Please tell us what brand and color that beautiful nail polish is that you’re wearing. Also my hair grows well when I leave it alone too. I’m on my second month with my cornrows in. Something I’ve never ever done b4. And only washed it once in the shower. I’m aiming for 3 months if possible which will be the end of February. Wish me luck girl.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Oh also since my hair is so dry I use the S Curl moisturizer maybe twice a week and also spray in my rice water. I know my hair will b ready to take down the corn rows when I can no longer see my scalp.

People don't understand that hair thrive from being left alone and alot of time being dirty. That's bad to say but it's true. People hair is growing constantly but keep messing with the hair daily breaks it off and adding various products that's not good for the hair takes it out. Get yourself a protective style like this lady and leave alone and watch what happens!! #GROWTH
