This hand position is fantastic! I could do a decent spring with the ring finger and thumb on the corners as is, but putting it in on that joint he mentions felt very natural to me and it immediately made my cards spring a lot stronger and more consistent. Thank you both so much for the super detailed tutorial and the slew of tips, as well as the follow-up video! Very informative.

Those long springs only come once in every 17 years followed by drought, unusual cloud formations, severe sun spots, dreamy elevator music and then every thing goes into slow motion. I wouldn't pay him any notice.

4;20 ish: I love the erroneous back-formation of verticee from vertices (Matt Parker also did it on Numberphile, or maybe it was his own standupmaths channel). No shame: it's how we got pea for the small, round, green thing; it was the seed of the pease plant (remember the rhyme pease pudding hot, etc?). He rather blew the effect by saying 'corner' straight away. Corner is a perfectly good word: just use it. Vertex is the singular of vertices, for anyone who cares and doesn't actually know.
Other than that: so far, so good. Carrying on watching (commenting on videos before I've finished watching them is a bad habit of mine which - I seem to recall - I blame on my bad memory; usually, I am inspired to post an apologetic retraction later).

Jason, you really should have left out all the nonsense - the elevator music cuts, all the words with check marks, all the foolishness of cutting him sitting down and pretending to talk to you mash up.
