- This Guide teaches you how to learn boxing at home without equipment . it also teaches the importance of roadwork ,sprints and shadowboxing which are a few drills that can be done from home
I trained mma, kickboxing, boxing, karate, Wrestling, bjj and judo. Boxing is by far the most dangerous and scary of them because you 100% get brain damage just training in group classes
I just started learning muay Thai, boxing and judo and it's going really well
@@gloriaben_amu5489 Which one do you like the most?
nah idk bout that
@@TikritiXP I don't get

Training at home is good, but for developing proper technique, I think it's inevitable to have someone who knows what they are doing look at your training. Especially in the beginning, you are making mistakes that are very hard to spot if you are not coached. Also, having a partner to hold pads or for light sparring is so valuable for your progress.
how com Tyson fury box with Zero core?
Do train at home everyone! But there will be a moment you gotta go to spar. The moment you're actually faced with opposition you will forget half of what you know. You need to expose yourself to this trauma of hitting and getting hit back otherwise you won't improve. Do light sparring, do hard sparring, have a fight - dont kid yourself that you know how to fight just by training at home until you try a real one.
Thx! It's informative!
I gotta admit that he anime of Hajime No Ippo motivated me to learn boxing! I'm novice, but i am willing to learn!
Note : I'll throw some Muay Thai and some BJJ in the future for a more complete combat skill set. That's what mma is.
needed this like crazy
Same broski
yeah me too !
thanks homie
since I don't earn money myelf as of rn, I'm thinking of going to the gym for 2-4 months and then learn from then myself. Basically to know some basics
I just always found boxing interesting. I never wanted to actually do the sport but I just thought it was always something good for ppl to know. Just to defend yourself as well.
Good shit. A bit off the mark in certain areas but I imagine that's for the sake of simplicity. This will undoubtedly inspire people to start and that's the most important part :]
One thing I notice especially is the choice of running for cardio. it doesn't hurt in most cases, but you should probably shadowbox or work the bag for more sport specific cardio.
i actually needed this rn. ty
Just do boxing jump rope for stamina and footwork also and then master shadow boxing and pushups sit-ups and crunches maybe
Tip: join a boxing gym for 3 months to learn good form so you do not make mistakes when training home
Roadwork and sprints 2-3x/week
HIIT (I suggest you add core exercises)
Learn stance and basic footwork
Learn how to create angles and in-and-out with footwork
Ladder drills to become light on your feet and get faster footwork
Learn head movement with a slip line or a slip bag and learn how to block punches
Use shadowboxing to learn punching and perfect your form and balance
Learn to throw combos
Put it all together: offence, defence and footwork. Maintain good form. Try with resistance bands for speed and power and light weights for shoulder endurance. Try in front of a window to check your form
Get a heavy bag if you can to work on your power and form
Include strength and conditioning sessions to prevent injuries, get stronger, get more power and get faster. Do it 2-3 times per week. Lift 2 days and do plyometrics the third day 6:26
Improve your knowledge about boxing and FOCUS ON FORM. Analyze fights and watch content about boxing
Without full contact sparring you aren't learning boxing you're just learning boxing moves.
True, but it's still better than nothing, if you don't have access to a gym yet
@@optimus4618 its better than nothing if you view where you are realistically. Most don't until they're being punched in the face and can't remember anything they learned because they have experience with it.

@@LunarZelda_galaxy have you trained martial arts in your life
Im a self taught boxer, and i Can tell you now. It isn't easy. I've been boxing for 2 years now.
I started out at home Maui Thai training which gave me a advantage when I started boxing I will say you progress so much faster in a class I don't know you personally or anything but I do highly suggest going into a gym you'd thank me later
How did you train instinct when training by yourself
@@Marvo59 I used a tennis ball and a wall to train my reaction time. It still isn't the best, but it's way better than when I started. I also used a fishing line to train my bobbing and weaving head movements. Just tie it between two points and throw punches while ducking and stepping in. I'm an in fighter, so it might not work as well for an out boxer. But I am busy training as an out boxer now, do I don't get stuck. I'm not good at English, so I hope that made sense
@@rodplays3726 thing is, Im not in a position to join a gym right now coz of college. It takes up most of my time, so I just decided to train twice as hard at home.
Bet appreciate it

Go to a gym. Best decision you can possibly make if you want to learn squat.
Man can you tell me if my style is good? I use a fast unnatural southpaw style with a low guard. Most of the people in my gym are like little Mike Tysons and like to just be 1cm away so to keep them at bay I switch to a southpaw stance(dominant hand is the right)and throw right flickers
No one can answer that question for you just off of that. Anything can work, and there is only so much you can say to describe a style.. it’s how well you can adapt against other styles, your psychology, game plan/strategy, pattern setting, cardio, all the little details about how you use your feet and weight distribution, how you use your guard, your usage of distance management…there is no clear answer. Train hard but more importantly train smart-learn from your coaches and analyze fights. Be self critical, strive for excellent mechanics and footwork
I do kinda the same thing, I’m 6’4” and usually light heavyweight or below so I end up punching down a lot. My cousin is left handed so I ended up training southpaw with him for a while, basically I switch stance on a whim and only keep my lead guard up.
Idk how effective your strategy would be against me but dominant hand flicker jabs are great once you get them down so I think you’ll do well against anyone with less reach
You had me at nutrition
I wish there was a roadmap for kickboxing aswell.. somehow the sport seems not to be liked as much. I like boxing but when opponent uses legs aswell it is gg
Love the thumbnail ❤
Informative video.
Street Dogs Chase me down when i went for road work, and I've gotten a childhood trauma cause of dogs chasing, how do i do this 😭
That was just extra motivation
Those dogs are motivating you to run faster.
I went from white collar novice all the way to world champ from the comfort of my living room. It is doable folks.
Hey brother could you tell me what Other material arts do you learn please
Mma and karate for a bit but the only martial art I did for multiple yrs is boxing

I can read books i learned alot from reading kickboxing books and i am ready even beyond that i need to master material arts And thakn you for replying
Anybody can throw a punch. Not everyone can take a punch.
You can't, you need partners at least, you can train at home after learning it though
Is it good for 20 year old boy to start from zero or do they have to make Carrier in boxing??
Yeah if u train a lot and have a good coach. U can catch up to many pro boxers with 4- 5 yrs of effective /consistent training and good coach .
Would you recommend converted orthodox or converted south paw or stick to original?
Either show urself or some of ur trainees.

If you're reading this. Stop wasting your time. Don't even bother to reply me. Go find a boxing gym NOW and get a coach/mentor to train you.
It’s not bad if you train at home. But to actually get competent technique and get good at the sport, YOU HAVE TO GET A COACH. You need a person with better iq than you to watch your technique
what if i am looking for just some basic self defense and not like sport
@@animedomain7989ideally you will still need a sparring partner to get used to fighting (like control oneself when one get pressured, attacked, countered, reading your opponent etc.) and foremost to exercise the learned techniques in combat situations.
You cannot. Youve got to get in the ring with someone who is trying to turn your lights off. The fear and pain you will feel. You cannot learn this home.

You cannot learn any type of fighting or martial arts at home unless you hire a personal trainer you can’t teach yourself how to box.
Please hire a trainer or coach that knows what they are doing you are going to develop bad habits that you will have to unlearn.
Also you cannot correct yourself or improve because you don’t know if what your doing is right or wrong. If you’ve Learned some basic fundamental and you can build on the little that you know that’s ok.
But NEED a coach or trainer that KNOWS what they are doing. You cannot teach yourself. Especially if you have 0 experience. Go to a boxing/kickboxing gym & learn.
Already said that u can’t be as good at home but if u can never make it to a fighting gym some of these stuff can work like roadwork strength training
