    I trained mma, kickboxing, boxing, karate, Wrestling, bjj and judo. Boxing is by far the most dangerous and scary of them because you 100% get brain damage just training in group classes

    Training at home is good, but for developing proper technique, I think it's inevitable to have someone who knows what they are doing look at your training. Especially in the beginning, you are making mistakes that are very hard to spot if you are not coached. Also, having a partner to hold pads or for light sparring is so valuable for your progress.

    Do train at home everyone! But there will be a moment you gotta go to spar. The moment you're actually faced with opposition you will forget half of what you know. You need to expose yourself to this trauma of hitting and getting hit back otherwise you won't improve. Do light sparring, do hard sparring, have a fight - dont kid yourself that you know how to fight just by training at home until you try a real one.

    Good shit. A bit off the mark in certain areas but I imagine that's for the sake of simplicity. This will undoubtedly inspire people to start and that's the most important part :]
    One thing I notice especially is the choice of running for cardio. it doesn't hurt in most cases, but you should probably shadowbox or work the bag for more sport specific cardio.

    Tip: join a boxing gym for 3 months to learn good form so you do not make mistakes when training home
    Roadwork and sprints 2-3x/week
    HIIT (I suggest you add core exercises)
    Learn stance and basic footwork
    Learn how to create angles and in-and-out with footwork
    Ladder drills to become light on your feet and get faster footwork
    Learn head movement with a slip line or a slip bag and learn how to block punches
    Use shadowboxing to learn punching and perfect your form and balance
    Learn to throw combos
    Put it all together: offence, defence and footwork. Maintain good form. Try with resistance bands for speed and power and light weights for shoulder endurance. Try in front of a window to check your form
    Get a heavy bag if you can to work on your power and form
    Include strength and conditioning sessions to prevent injuries, get stronger, get more power and get faster. Do it 2-3 times per week. Lift 2 days and do plyometrics the third day 6:26
    Improve your knowledge about boxing and FOCUS ON FORM. Analyze fights and watch content about boxing

    Man can you tell me if my style is good? I use a fast unnatural southpaw style with a low guard. Most of the people in my gym are like little Mike Tysons and like to just be 1cm away so to keep them at bay I switch to a southpaw stance(dominant hand is the right)and throw right flickers

    • @fivefootfive9671
      @fivefootfive9671 4 місяці тому +2

      No one can answer that question for you just off of that. Anything can work, and there is only so much you can say to describe a style.. it’s how well you can adapt against other styles, your psychology, game plan/strategy, pattern setting, cardio, all the little details about how you use your feet and weight distribution, how you use your guard, your usage of distance management…there is no clear answer. Train hard but more importantly train smart-learn from your coaches and analyze fights. Be self critical, strive for excellent mechanics and footwork

    • @RealBoxingBaka
      @RealBoxingBaka Місяць тому

      I do kinda the same thing, I’m 6’4” and usually light heavyweight or below so I end up punching down a lot. My cousin is left handed so I ended up training southpaw with him for a while, basically I switch stance on a whim and only keep my lead guard up.
      Idk how effective your strategy would be against me but dominant hand flicker jabs are great once you get them down so I think you’ll do well against anyone with less reach

    You cannot learn any type of fighting or martial arts at home unless you hire a personal trainer you can’t teach yourself how to box.
    Please hire a trainer or coach that knows what they are doing you are going to develop bad habits that you will have to unlearn.
    Also you cannot correct yourself or improve because you don’t know if what your doing is right or wrong. If you’ve Learned some basic fundamental and you can build on the little that you know that’s ok.
    But NEED a coach or trainer that KNOWS what they are doing. You cannot teach yourself. Especially if you have 0 experience. Go to a boxing/kickboxing gym & learn.
