Leonard Rossiter and the whole cast were all superb actors. The script was brilliant too. Rossiter's surreal series 'The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin' later became a cult in the US.
Loving these Rising Damp reactions Megan! And yes, if you're looking for Christmas themed shows for December, Rising Damp does have a Christmas special, I believe the episode is titled 'For the man who has everything', definitely worth a watch!🙂🙂🙂
I've been like a kid at Christmas waiting for another Rising Damp from you, Can't wait. This show was such a massive part of our growing up, and I still enjoy rewatching it over and over still today.
Very underrated 70s comedy. I suggested Rising Damp on After Work Reactions' Patreon ages ago & one of his followers dismissed it as 'racist'. It irritated the hell out of me considering how progressive this actually was & still is. Oh well, their loss i guess
Thanks for sharing. Can't beat a bit of Rising Damp... I reckon the best episode ever was "Thngs that go bump in the night" ,pretty sure it's in season 2. Really funny. :D
Hi Megan. You were asking about Christmas stories, well, I've given you a few suggestions already, yet forgot to mention the Rising Damp Christmas episode. I only remembered it a day or two ago. DOH!
Megan if you're looking for Christmas content you won't go far wrong with steptoe&son Christmas special 1972 with Leonard rossiter as special guest star,he apparently plays an escaped convict.its a classic, two lines to me that stand out are.I LIKE LUMPY PORRIDGE, THE OTHER THEY DONT KNOW THEY WERE BORN THESE DAYS.hopefully you will show the full episode.
Megan i really enjoyed that reaction the full episode no stop pause talking starting again, you'd be surprised how many youtube reactions are spoilt with copyright sprawled over the video with a strange background noise.theres this new woman/man youtuber only does audio of tv shows its just crazy i said to him that his channel wout grow under that format he said he didnt want to break any youtube laws,so megan ruth credit where credits due.

How very dare you, Rigsby as the criminal type, he is the Do you pick at me? Rigsby is the the epitome of a honest working class man, I can't believe your disrespect to a perfectly honest landlord, who put today's landlords to shame with his equal treatment of his tenants,

The actor who plays the policeman is George Sewell. He was in many great TV series and flims in the 1970s and 80s - terrific character actor.
When the light casts a shadow under his nose he repeatedly reminds me of Adolf Hitler. I’m sure he isn’t though. He didn’t have a German accent.

The character Nigel Farage is based on Rigsby.
Only fools and horses copied a fair bit of this episode in 'Friday the 14th'
Rigsby is 70% water.
What happened to not discriminating?🤣

YET another watcher riding on the back of successfull comedy.
Why shouldn't she? It's interesting to see how a young person from a foreign country reacts to a classic British comedy from nearly 50 years ago.
