Watching Blackadder's Christmas Carol has become something of an annual tradition for me. I've been waiting quite a while for somebody to do a reaction video, and I really enjoyed yours. Another somewhat off-the-beaten-path Christmas tale is Terry Pratchett's "Hogfather". It's based on one of the books from his Discworld series. Sir Terry was one of Britain's premier fantasy authors, so if you spend enough time in England chances are that you will be drawn to his books and their film adaptations. About taking the top back to the shop after wearing it and getting a refund, I watched a documentary on Marks & Spencer on UA-cam some time ago now and apparently in the end they had to amend their return polices terms and conditions at some point within the last however many years because there really was no specified time period in which you could return items you had bought at one of their stores. It got to the point where people were full on taking the absolute MICK and for example returning pairs of beat up well worn shoes that were like 15 years old and completely falling apart and being given refunds because as I've already said there was no definitive time period written down anywhere to say how long you could have something for and return it within a certain time frame and be able to get you're money back.

I’m Atheist, however, I think Western society really needs religion, because as we’ve seen, when you eliminate it, many people will just replace it with other ridiculous ideologies like “Woke”, where they treat Identity politics & victinhood hierarchy like a religion or honestly more like a Cult, those are what pops up to fill that void that some people seem hardwired to need, and those cults, haven’t had 2,000 years of sorting out the problems and things people will take too far, like Christianity & Judaism. Which seems to be about how long it takes, if you look at the world’s most popular “newer” religion and the violence done in its name. “Woke” is not properly equipped to deal with excesses of the newest religion, whose practitioners are POC and from a perceived “oppressed” part of the world. Because, by the tenets of the “Woke” religion, they cannot criticize a group of POC, even if they are still practicing medieval rules and punishments, because “Woke” only see Straight White men as capable of being “bad”. Christianity is better equipped to help them curb their extremism, because it used to have those same extremes, but assimilated those extremes in order to coexist with other cultures.

Unfortunately the real Nazis had an absolutely brilliant propagandist, called Joseph Goebbels who kept going extra mile to make sure thoughts like "are we the baddies?" never occured to the majority of German population. Sadly, it kept working very well.

Excellent. Glad you've now seen it. By last Christmas, you'd just started watching Blackadder the Third, so would have seen just enough to understand this. That was indeed Mr Robbie Coltrane as the spirit of Christmas. Did you not recognise Jim Broadbent (Bridget Jones' Dad among many roles he's played) as Prince Albert and Miriam Margolyes as Queen Victoria? Keep an eye out for them when you go back to series 1! I was wondering how long it would take you to cotton on to the fact that it was A Christmas Carol in reverse! Hope you're having a fab Christmas and New Year 😀

Megan, I got very excited when I saw the black adder pop up on the screen 😍 I was so disappointed it wasn't the finale 😕. That day of reckoning will come the last episode of adder,mixing a killer combination of pathos&belly laughs. The best comedies have all got pathos.crying one minute, laughing the next.its not fair to play with our emotions. But very therapeutic..&cathartic
