    Ethiopian food and Indian food (especially South Indian) is, in my opinion, food sent via divine intervention .. just amazing with extraordinary flavors, techniques and combinations! (Disclaimer: this is my opinion only, I do not mean to state that these cuisines are better than any other, and , I have yet to come close to trying a great variety of dishes of many different cuisines😉Just, in my personal experience, these two cuisines are just extraordinary and quite enjoyable!)

      Hey, I am from India, currently living in Southern India (though I am a Bengali). Doesn't Injera look similar to a Dosa? I see that Injera is made using Teff flour, which is a very close cousin of Raagi flour. Both do look the same. If you see some videos on how to make dosa using raagi flour, it does look similar to Injera. What do you say?

      @@blackrockorange never tried dosa, but dosa looks crisp to me, and I feel like it will taste like pancake/bread. I think dosa looks more like somali canjeero?. Canjeero doesn't taste also like injera. Injera tastes like sour like water+apple cider vinegar. Injera takes a lot of days to make. It's not done with in one day.

      @ellejay2439 Рік тому

      @@Pink-tj3ex no dosa does not taste like pancakes at all. The fermented batter preparation begins typically a day or two before and basically involves soaking rice and black gram lentil with a bit of fenugreek seeds. It tastes a bit sour due to the fermentation.

      @@howtocookgreat Hey, thanks for your reply. I've been binging on watching Ethiopian Veg cuisine and I should say that South Indians would be just home with Ethiopian veg dishes. I can even say that if you know someone with a bit of money they can start such a restaurant in say Chennai, Bangalore or Hyderabad, it would a BIG HIT. And TBH, it would be very profitable too. You can charge a regular meal USD $8 to $10 and people will tear their wallets open. Cheers and Best Wishes!

      Maybe have a look at some of the 4,000 recipes we have on the channel, I am sure you will find many Ethiopian dishes in there. Probably the most in fact on one channel on the internet.
