Great job Lemmo! Pulling out some classics! My first electric was a Norlin era Les Paul. Sold it, Ive always been a tele guy but This brings back some memories. Thanks!🎶
I took my uncashed paychecks to pick up mine in 1975, was told it was a 74 out of the old factory. It’s upstairs and really a fretless wonder black beauty now. Nice guitar.
Wow .... Another magical moment that last set was crazy .... Props Mr Mike .... Videos like this is what has inspired my playing over the past cpl yrs .... Thnk u
I have a Les Paul 76 previously owned by Terry Kath that sounds great... I personally like those 70’s Les Paul’s more than those recent custom shop Gibson models . They’re the real deal
There is only one other channel I hit the thumbs up button before I watch it, there you go guys! Awesome video, thank you Lemmo, thank you Jen and thank you Norman!
this is by far the best video you guys have done yet!!! amazing sound playing and the Kings of ROCK ZEPPLIN and Eddie truly a treat and I own that exact guitar and love it through my 1969 marshal love it!!!! thank you
I love it when you play a guitar I already own. Then I don’t have a sudden onset of GAS 🤣. Mines a 3p/up version that I converted to Ace Frehley 1979 specs 🤟 I really should play it more 🤔
Beauty! That is identical to my black '74 LP. Sounds brilliant. Great that the owner kept it stock and didn't mess with it. Who's the giggly bimbo behind the camera?
I was waiting for him to play the guitar solo from "Firth of Fifth" or "Fly On The Windshield/Broadway Melody of 1974". Steve Hackett had one of these with sustain pickups installed and still sounds mind blowing!
literally just got a 20th anniversary custom yesterday, I call her 'Peaches' 🍑🎸🤘 **edit** I can't believe that top! I've only ever heard of these 6-8 piece tops
@@BenJayToken Exactly, my vintage guitars all got names within the first day lol. It’s yours, do whatcha want man! Now you need a white custom to go with it and name it ‘Creme’ 👊🏻😂

Little bit out of tune, great selection of songs but I thought he would have played some Randy Rhoads riffs since it's is the exact same year as his Les Paul Custom, '74.
@@loudmouthnewyorker2803 Yeah,ya either love'm or hate'm... I like them, I dont care if they're completely ripping off Zeppelin on everything they do, they're still great kids doing the Rock&Roll thing!😆
@@wesleyAlan9179 I totally agree. Look how many others tried to blatantly rip off Zep like Billy Squirer and Whitesnake. I'm not saying these kids are like Guns-n-Roses when they smashed the Grunge scene but these kids are bringing banging rock back to the limelight.

Lemmo doing his impersonation of pub rock. Smokey bar, full of half-drunks, listening to overdriven mud. _________________ Actually, the guitarist most famous for this model was John Fogerty, using a 1968 model in the latter years of Creedence Clearwater Revival. He used transistor Kustom amps, loaded with 15" speakers. The sound was awesome, rich sounding, and clear. It bought out the best in these Les Paul Custom models. For the earlier 3 pick-up version, go to Jimmy Page.
This thing sounds heavenly. My jaw dropped wide open when Lemmo played those first few licks on the neck pickup
Agreed. That neck pup sounds killer. So, so hard to find a good NP on Les Pauls, imho. Very easy to go into mud city.
just the same sounds that Randy Rhoads played ..
1974 Les Paul Custom: "Thanks, Mike. I been tryin' to get that out my whole life."
OH MAN THAT MIDDLE PICKUP POSITION SOUNDED SO GOOD, playing one of my favourite zeppelin songs too!! Pretty close to the actual tone!
I had a 78 black beauty. The middle was my favorite. Thick and chimey at the same time. Just made me want to play CCR.
Congrats on 500k subscribers you guys! A lot of credit due to you both for being the daily face of the channel! Keep rockin’ 🤘
"How Many More Times" is Lemmo gonna blow our minds with these demos!?! Another badass guitar!
Getting the led out!! Lemmo Zepplin style!

Wow, a really rare Les Paul Custom: with a SEVEN piece Maple top. Way to go Gibson! You thought noone will notice that because of the black finish.😆
Entertaining choices Mike! Great use of the Custom.
What a sound!!!
By the way, beautiful guitar! Very cool!
Lemmo really loves these Van Halen gems. 😂
He is a Force of Nature
...to be reckoned with
Mike great playing you did them justice
I had a '72 Custom just like that back in 1980. I was a kid and sold it for $400 to buy an Explorer. Wish I would have kept it.
As usual ..Lemmo kills it ..
Just bought a 1974 LP Custom Cherry Sunburst 😎
Great sounding pickups
Nice. Closest i got was a CopyCat in '73. Pretty sure it was an IBZ un branded. Good guitar.
That's one of the sweetest guitars you have ever demoed
Not bad for a 47 year old guitar! Such a great sound! Loved it! However! Gotta do a Maton!
guy shouldve been on stage...outstanding playing
I can see Chin playing this on the bus on Jay and silent Bob ,
I was born this year and it's is fareeking me out man

Are those 490R/498T's or Tee Top pickups?
that one is original. not reissue, so it might be t tops . 490 498 released in 90s
Dreamt Guitar
Wow. Instant wood 🪵
I had a chance to buy one of those back in the late 70's for $500. But I was young and poor and it might as well have been a million. Oh well.
the 74 les paul customs seem to have larger bodies and longer necks am i wrong?
Lemmo , that was great shit my man !
God damn but you made that sound fantastic. I hope the new owner is happy because you definitely sold that guitar.
