I just read that that you need a generator? Isn't the machine itself a portable gas powered pressure washer? Why would there be a need for a generator?

Quick question what if your doing washes at home . Do I still need a generator ? I have a electric pressure washer already . Looking to buy a water tank .
If you're doing washes at home where you have access to an electrical outlet, I would say you don't need a generator. You mentioned that you already have an electric pressure washer. I would recommend contacting the manufacturer of your pressure washer and ask them if they can be used with a water tank.
I have a direct drive Dewalt 3800psi 3.5 gpm pressure washer and I tried hooking it up like this and it did not pull water from the tank. Any suggestions?
I tried to use this same setup with a 3800 psi at 3.5 gpm dewalt 3835 pressure washer and I was getting no pressure to the pump. Would I need a gas water pump at this point, and how big?
Your pressure washer probably wasn't designed to draw water from a static source. (tank) I would contact that manufacturer of your pressure washer and ask them if it's capable of drawing water from a tank.
Joshua Sutton if you use this setup, try having your pressure washer able to dismount. Put it on the ground (so the tank is higher than the pressure washer)and take the lid off the tank. Also, use a little wider hose from the tank to the pressure washer, that’s what the call gravity fed...

Would this work for drive eays and roofs
I just read that that you need a generator? Isn't the machine itself a portable gas powered pressure washer? Why would there be a need for a generator?
Didn’t even mention using that unload valve hose and run it back to the buffer tank to keep the pump cool!
Where can I buy one of those 3 way ball valves?
If I do a large job that exceeds the tank capacity, can I just connect a water hose to the unit directly and continue pressure washing?
Yes you can. That’s why the valve is there, so you can use the buffer tank OR a water hose from a building/home
how many cars will I wash with the 220 gallon tank that you sell?
On average, each pressure wash will use about 10-15 gallons per car. Based on that assumption, roughly 11 cars could be done with our 220 gallon tank.
Are there ever issues with keeping the motor running for more than say a minute and not spraying?
Yes, you would not want to run the motor for more than a few minutes without compressing the trigger and cycling water.

How many cars can you wash with one tank.
You can wash about 10 cars with one fill up of the 100 gallon tank. Each car takes about 10 gallons to detail.
