The one thing I'm just disappointed in overall is, we saw how ready the Falcon was, there was the Cougar in the files, new weapons, etc. And when none of those showed up in Season 2, I thought "Okay, next season then" and none rolled around in Season 3. None in Season 4. None in Season 5. None in Season 6. Will we ever get any of that stuff?
Komodo and Skiff were also in the files. Gauss warthog too.
They have to drip feed content because they aren't making anything new for halo infinite 100% the case.

It's like hearing a rumor and then getting upset when the rumor isn't true simply because you wanted it to be.
They never said any of it was coming into the game, it could have been old prototypes from previous games brought over or cut content that was never finished for the base game.
You saw something that was never confirmed, hyped yourself up over something that was never confirmed to come, and then get upset when it doesn't happen??? Nah.

I hope without seasons that we do get updates more regularly. It’s obvious that work is going into the next game. I just hope Infinite doesn’t die out after the 30th.

Halo MCC was released in late 2014 and was still getting content through 2023 (and some nameplates last weekend from Twitch Drops).
I'm sure Infinite would still get updates/content in the next 5-10 years with some form of Halo game in between.

The player base for Infinite is abysmal. 343 knows it. The clowns who’ve led Halo to its grave are gone. Yeah, cause Steam is SOOOO reliable 🤣from what I understand Console players make up 70% of the Halo player base which roughly leaves 30% on PC so if half of the PC players fall off and all you're looking at is a metric totally focus on PC then YEAH what a shock game's dead BLAH BLAH BLAH. When in reality 15% of the TOTAL player count amounts to a few thousand players out of the 40-50 THOUSAND who play halo on a daily basis

This game has no shot at bringing back a healthy population…and for a Halo game?!? Come on, this franchise was once king and so many of us love it. STOP defending infinite…343 has a real shot at making something great with new leadership. They know this game cannot be saved, but only sustained until the next entry which is hopefully much better. They have to move on because of the bad PR and bad blood that this game holds with the gaming community at large. Starting anew is the only way that Halo moves forward.
@@Vamroc i understand where your coming from and yes there are thousands to tens of thousands of people playing halo on console, and that means the game is far from "dead". however there's no debating that the previous leaderships mistakes led the game to have a fraction of the player base it could have, I remember when the game launched on steam there was 200-300 thousand people playing the early release of the multiplayer, then as the game came out and a month or two passed its playerbase plummeted because of an insane lack of content. i mean we didn't even have big team battle for like 2 months because of a glitch, and the game launched with like 3 playlists
it took a whole 1 and a half for season 3 to come out which was when the content really started to flow and by then the playerbase was but a fraction of what it could've been

We can keep some hope. While lack of seasons and big announcements might be gone, it doesn’t mean they can’t still add big stuff to the game. New weapons and vehicles and maps and such can still drop at literally any time. I know it makes sense to give those things big attention but on any day 343 can literally plug a new weapon or vehicle in
We need the classic Halo 3 ranking system back with the service record. Alongside with Infinites Spartan designs and pose options.
with the content update name I'd name it after some content that the update adds, so this one coming on the 30th could have been called the mark 4 update. you name the updates after game modes, cores, operations, or just after the season an update is added in e.g. the winter update. hoping we get sandbox additions at some point like the falcon as well as game modes like griffball.
I guess it’s safe to say there won’t be playable Elites in Halo infinite. What a shame

Until we can pick a basic color scheme, you can't put infinite and "best customization" in the same sentence.
I mean they have a huge selection of basic colors available for free on every core

Season 6 is cancelled doesn't mean falcon is cancelled. And falcon is likely to be released in the future.
When? GTA VI releases next year and many of the player base from Halo Infinite (and other games) are going to fade away for sure

In the build up to infinite I was thinking that the name ‘infinite’ was chosen as a way to describe the game, as a way to massively expand on the things that made halo great. But unfortunately it’s just a cool and hollow name. I’m glad they’re gonna be moving away from seasons because that means they can move on to finally making a complete product in the future and stop trying to repair a broken mess lol. Yeah their track record is shit but the only reason I actually have faith is because the new multiplayer dude (I can’t remember his name) stepped in to repair it. I can pretty comfortably say I trust a new game releasing under his leadership

Imagine if the game came out the way it is today. Except there’s an actual store instead of a rotating store, The game isn’t super bugger with sync issues, with firefight. Then there was the customization that we were promised without “cores” and including undersuits as a customizable part. It would have been called the best halo game in years. Especially if it was a reasonable price and online wasn’t a free separate item. Then when it did do seasons or operations it wouldn’t have been a big deal because they’d be free. But instead we’re in this situation where instead of acknowledging halo as it is people felt justified in saying that halo would “die without battle royale”.
Honestly apart from desync it’s fine, I’d rather more customisation options, but it released the way it did and I’m happy it’s in such a good state now, also you can buy everything in the game just by finding it in the armoury the store just adds discounts to returning items or introduced new items
The customization is pretty nice now but I still feel somewhat restricted. Emblems being locked to a few color variations is disappointing. Being able to freely move where the Emblem sits on the armor would be nice, I also personally wanna keep the coating system but also have the primary and secondary colors come back. Ontop of that being able to mix and match different coatings to different armor pieces or limbs. Maybe being able to overlay decals to make interesting patterns.
I just wish they would have someone finish Halo Infinites campaign

People don’t seem to understand that the new operations or CU’s will release every 4-6 weeks. That’s about the same amount of content per quarter (around the same as season 5’s 50 tiers). The only difference is the release schedule and that content is free to unlock. They’re not winding down. They’re just drip feeding content to appease fans instead of having large gaps between releases.

I would like different firefight modes like one they had in Halo Reach where four players all spawn with the same weapon and the players have infinite ammo

I remember hearing that 343 was working on Flood combat forms and Flood extraction points. Now with the Flood forge objects, it’s clear they planned on having a flood based season that would have connected to the story, where the Flood objects would be added into maps. My god Infinite could have been so good… The gameplay is the best in the series, which makes the underwhelming content depressing to me.
((Clears throat)) HUSKY RAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIID! (I do unironically love husky raid. It's one of the few game modes that's intensely different gameplay wise) BTB map update is the highlight for me though.
Husky raid honestly changed the game for me. I was playing all throughout infinites lifecycle but all my friends had left over time. Husky brought them back permanently and got them involved with other fun social modes too!
I am just worried we won’t get any new sandbox items. This game is already feeling stale to me, and it will be even worse if we never get any new weapons or vehicles for the rest of Infinite’s lifetime.
I’d feel a lot better if 343 would come out and say that they still have plans to add new sandbox items to Infinite.
Crazy how back in the day we would be looking forward to a whole new game and campaign at year 3 yet all the cunts who want these pointless tiny bullshit updates where they release a barebones game at launch and slowly release the content you used to get day one think this is a better model

What doesn't make sense about your argument 6 minutes in, is that The MCC got seasons in that "not main project" state, as that side project game. The decision to stop seasons for Infinite at least in a vacuum with no context runs contrary to the argument that we will see bigger and better things for infinite: "[because it makes more money]".

personally I think the armor core system is very cool and I’d like to see it continue or be iterated on. seeing all of these unique and iconic armors in game is sooo cool to me.
I hope the next game doesn't abandon cores entirely, but we shouldn't ever see a launch where armor pieces or colour schemes are core-locked again either.
The customization in whatever comes next should allow selecting the base suit type by mark iteration, then let you put whatever helmet / shoulders / etc and colours you want over it. Keep the armor hall in concept, but repurpose it to slots for different character saves - and allow each slot to be able to bind different weapon customizations too.
Who would have thought that this game would be getting back on its feet as it s also ending ahhh classic.😅

I'm still not against cores, this is the perfect balance. This is just allowing for different marks of armor to show through.
It’ll be so interesting to see where Halo goes next. Despite having its moments Infinite has been a flop and the series probably needs a reboot of sorts and a new game rather than further additions to Infinite.
I play husky raid daily. I am not sane
The maps composer should NOT feature precision slayer without first assuring that it is possible to play both auto objective gametypes AND precision objective gametypes. Obviously Halo Infinite was built as an automatic starts first game featuring a sidekick as well. You swap to utility and power weapons you find on the map instead of just being super good with a battle rifle and lasoring everybody. The 'Auto' and 'Precision' composers in Halo The MCC are not toggles for being able to play your preferred game-type how you wish, such as automatics only oddball. They are simply auto slayer and precision slayer. Every other game type is precision which is annoying as all hell, and they aren't transparent about when Halo 4 loadouts apply from the composer menu which is a problem.

i dont think halo infinite is completely shutting down. They are just dialing back because they will be leaving it with a smaller team while they work on the next game. It will still get support and additions, just not in the form of seasons. Plus you can keep every season so what is the point of having “seasons” anyways. They really are just updates.

Every single game i have 1-3 teammates getting ZERO KILLS. Please let us have lobbies of an entire team with similar skill level. I've been playing Halo since CE and I've never had this many brand new players on my team that literally do nothing. FIX THE FKN CSR
I hope they keep cores as long as they are cross core. Having multiple different suits with different styles to pick from is awesome. Your own suit armoury. I love that aspect.

I liked infinite but im ready to move on. It really needed all its current content(and more) at launch. Each time ive tried to go back and try the new content i struggle to find matches at all.

The game could’ve afforded another delay to finish the game before release, but Microsoft was okay with releasing an unfinished game which is their biggest IP.

What Halo Infinite has going for it is solid gameplay. The battle passes and shop are pointless, at least for me, I don't care about a bunch of samey looking cores.
Anyway. As I said the game is so solid that it is always worth coming back to.

They're definitely winding down Infinite, Infinite will get atleast another year of content but i expect this to be the last year forsure. The good thing is the new game sounds a lot closer to launch than we all thought, with them talking about it the way they are now i think we might even get a teaser this year for the Xbox event and then possibly a release next year. Id love if Halo was back on a 2-3 year release cadence.

The difference in post launch content added between this game and halo 5 is crazy. The amount this game got is a joke. One weapon and no vehicles is crazy.

* Spend the first year and a half of the game's life span to "achieve seasonality"(something that should had been there day one)
* Drag Joe Staten out in front of the camera to apologize for their mistakes and promise fans they'll get regular seasons soon
* Sacrifice the campaign splitscreen you promised for years for quicker seasons and content
* Finally achieve seasonality for...1 season
* Scrap the idea of seasons entirely right after
Didn't they just announce that Seasons going forward would be 50 tiers instead of 100 but Season battle passes would be full of better and more optimized content? So they drop that shit too just like they did Drop Pods? This also seems utterly ridiculous when "achieving seasonality" was the entire reason why they stopped development on the promised campaign splitscreen in the first place. Well since seasons are out then where the hell is the splitscreen campaign I was promised?
