Halo has never had a campaign DLC. So I don't know what your expecting And Microsoft fired the campaign team So we won't get another campaign DLC until earliest 2027

@@joerowland2625I think that they could and if they did they should spice up the gameplay a bit 😂 I’ve been dying for a crossover between halo wars style gameplay and main series gameplay.
Titanfall 2 coming back to life has given me what none of these modern multiplayer shooters can give me, a complete and fun game with good progression and no battle pass bs
It's nice they tried to bring it back, but personally i feel like the heart and soul of Halo is gone in this game regardless. The way the power weapons spawn randomly in Slayer/Team Slayer games doesn't encourage players to learn the maps, it encourages brainless running in circles waiting for the guns to drop and hoping you're by the spot that drops the one you want. The King of The Hill Firefight is interesting, but at the end of the day, I gotta say I'm concerned they took out mainstay Halo weapons like the Plasma Rifle and the Covenant Carbine. It's hard for old players to want to come back to a game after they've already changed the game so much. I think this is a game for the younger kids to play. Old School players like myself will stick to Classic Halo.
I hope they still get to make a new game, give them 3 years, I think unlimited time just let them piss around too much, the best halos were made with time constraints

Something I REALLY loved and was underrated was Gears Of War 3's beast mode, can you imagine fighting waves of different marines, spartans etc as banished forces in a multiplayer setting? Playing from the cheap grunt with a plasma pistol to maybe a brute chieftain or hunter? A mode like this I think would really put Infinite on the map!
@@SpankUrTank both were definitely brilliant, GoW3 was peak in the franchise. Beast mode was just sooooo unique and interesting at the time and I would still enjoy it if implemented properly... Properly being the keyword.
I think a good way to make the leveling system literally perfect is maybe give us like a armor token/weapon token that lets you permanently unlock a piece of premium armor for _ amount of tokens also theres like 10 guns and 5 vehicles in the files just unused for some reason
I mean i played halos since season 2 not anymore, 3 weeks ago i didn't know what to play and started it again, played 3 days non stop and was complete locked in that played ranked on my own and got diamond, i mean if they bring back warzone warfight from 5 against KI or warfight 12 vs 12, which i played like hell ( with the point system for better gear))in some way next season which is perfect to introduce new vehicle or sparten vs elite/ new weapons i
Even though the game has made some missteps, I am so glad they implemented the ability to earn things from previous battle passes. You'd think that would be more common, but no.
There's a (really scummy but effective) reason for that: *_FOMO_* A lot of people wouldn't buy a battle pass if they didn't fear missing content forever. You see it all the time with seasonal releases, even in the real world.
@@TheActManto be fair, Fortnite does battle passes right in the sense that if you buy it once, and unlock everything, you’ll have enough vbucks to buy the next one and still have some vbucks left. It’s pretty good
The popular limited ones they do try and bring back more permanently like Squad Battle. Unfortunately they can't just keep every playlist, it would lead to too many of them not having enough players in many of them

The best part of OG Halo games was that people could have freedom over creating all types of unique game modes, settings, etc. So why would any Halo game not lean into that with full commitment?
I think it’s a good thing stuff like ninja modes are time limited. It can bring people back to the game and because of how repetitive the game modes play, it would get stale pretty fast being part of the permanent playlists
@@Silver4Hire so just to clarify? A game mode you like, you are okay with it going away? So it doesn't get stale & has a high play count when it is available? *Previous Halo games allowed all the game modes & custom settings always. That never affected how popular those OG games were?
@@benmcreynolds8581 I'm just being realistic. Halo Infinite has like 3k players on average on Stream, and including Xbox, it would still be below 10k. Halo 3, even after its initial explosion, had around 200k players. There could be a workaround, and that is by implementing a system similar to MCC's, by allowing you to choose multiple playlists to queue for instead of just one playlist, but I still don't think it would work as good as being limited-time. Also, you can always play them in custom games either with friends or through CGB, so it's not like the game mode is unplayable.
Absolutely, the modes are fun, Forge maps are dope as hell an my God, there was an entirely free cosmetics pass, it's like they did an entire 180° turn! The battlepass even gives you somewhat decent stuff for free now! Definitely recommend going back :)@@wesleywatson2009
I want them to keep adding player forge maps to playlists because the creations are amazing. And we get to see what their forge can do after all that time waiting for it. Free maps!
A pleasant surprise to see the Act Man make a video about Halo Infinite, and actually speak highly of the game. Looking back at where the game was to where the game is now shows a huge level of growth for the game. In fact, the tenrai III event was just about everything I wanted out of these fractured events: special maps that make you want to throw on the tenrai armor core and jump into some games. I'm actually looking forward to what the other fracture event maps look like

Definitely seems like a game that should of launched like this. Probably alot ppl wont even see these changes who tried it at launch and didnt enjoy. Seems good
Truth, it's sad that games do this these days. They don't realise just how badly it damages the love for the franchise when they release a contentless cash grab
Devs don't seem to realise how important it is that you ship a game as good as it can be on release. First impressions are everything. Countless games that released mid and are now good but no one gives them a chance because the hype train has gone
@@oxsilaIt's really not the devs. It's execs that want things pushed out the door to appease investors and meet quarterly profits. There is also a culture of overcautiousness in general in office jobs, speaking from experience. A mix of overestimating lead times for CYA and levels of approval, unwillingness to force everyone into a room to review something in a timely manner. It's at the grunt level for sure, but it's leadership's job to say "too bad, get it done." Then there's the culture of short term contracting which is a loose loose for everyone. Lots of dumb shit in large organizations.
This is why developers need to stop releasing games unfinished. Me personally, I'm all about first impressions. If I play a game at launch and I don't enjoy it or it's lacking in content, I'm probably not going to play the game long and not come back to it. But the gamers today have been conditioned to buy games unfinished and wait for it to be completed down the road.
343 had their chance a long time ago. Way too late. Just like with star wars. They lost long time fans. Don't really care about the multiplayer improvement . Halo is basically irrelevant in the shooter space now thanks to them. The mates would rather sweat on fort, cod, CS, over halo now. It's literally more fun to play the same BR map for years than it was to play the same 5 ranked maps for months in infinite. No one I know wants to "find out" if it's better now.
I do believe Infinite is on its way with a comeback. Season 4 being so good made me super excited for season 5 now, cant wait. But hey, I realise its hopium, but I sure as hell can hope
I have always felt like the difference between halo infinite and 5 is that 5 had a lot of content but bad bones but infinite had no content but great bones. Happy to hear that the new content really helps the game shine. Moment to moment halo infinite has always felt good to play but there wasn’t much to play
Facts, like what’s this season crap? Seasons were cool back in 2018 but it’s just gettin old now like bring back progression systems or do something different, I never liked them to behind wit and to this day I don’t play any game that has it tbh too much of a grind and I’d rather have fun and level up my stuff and not have to worry bout gettin to level 100 every couple months like as if I have time for that crap
Hopped on this morning and haven’t had good halo fun like this since playing forge world on reach in middle school. Had a few crashes on customs but granted we had about 8 phantoms stacked on each other spawning grunts like nobody’s business. Good stuff this is what we hoped for on launch. Playing blood gulch again took me way back to evolves and it was priceless.
That's what people said about Cyberpunk's mod tools and it still has one of the worst modding scenes around with very basic mods that boil down to obvious fixes, all of which are now redundant, nude patches, and advertisement changes. So there are a ton of mods but they all do the same 3 things lmao. Well, and the flying car mod I guess, which is still buggy af.
Nothing at all will happen. People said, everyone will come back with forge... Yet nothing happened. I myself thought I would start forging again, because I love spending days and weeks forging maps noone ever played. But forge beeing buggy and much stuff is missing as well as a missing community which builds stuff and shares it, makes it hard for single creators with less time to create anything. They included a lot of stuff which would make it easy in theory, but buggy search function and not working custom games f this game in the b.
I feel like just the classic vehicles is enough but we need the return of the unique vehicles from the previous titles and maybe some more unique UNSC vehicles im interested in the variants in the warthogs and more team based vehicles. or maybe some banished team based vehicles.
for me it really is the weapons. feel like the vehicles are decent, would like more, but really the veriety in halo 5 in weapons spoiled me. would love to see that 1 shot kill shotgun come out.
For me in terms of multiplayer, the netcode/desync is still the number one issue. They can add as many maps and modes as they want, but if the gameplay is regularly ruined by bad netcode that frustrates the hell out of you, then the game will never be consistently enjoyable. Also it's insane to me that 343 are getting praised so much for adding fan-made maps - it's maps they didn't even make and are just taking from the community. I mean sure, it's better than no new maps at all, but I don't think 343 deserve all the praise for it. They're basically using the community to make up for their incompetence and lack of output.
Kinda crazy how both Cyberpunk 2077 and Halo Infinite have seen massive updates back-to-back. I'm glad that these games haven't been abandoned and the teams behind them are working to make them better.
In agreement with so much here and glad you gave the game another chance. Forge didn’t launch with the game but since it came in and 343 pulled maps into the playlist things have felt sooooo fun all the time. Great vid, writing, editing as always
I really like how you re-evaluated your position on a previous games release, then vs now. I think that is very important in the gaming community, or even in general life. Things are fluid, they change, and expectations made from previous leadership or developers should be given some leeway in terms of future progress.
@@pierreo33 When was Halo Infinite abandoned? It's finished now - more than I can say for some games - and its population is increasing. Your original comment still makes no sense, ya dingus.
I’m stoked to see the game is in a much better state to play. I’m still apprehensive to play unless I see some major fixes to monetization and customization, but with enough convincing I could see myself trying the game again.
Do not return, give nothing to then anymore. And if you returned, maje their server much unplayable as possible because this is the price those released game in unfinished state and promise to fix it in future deserved.
Hali infinite is becoming a good game, it's content is definatly improving... but GOD DAMNED is its optimization getting worse. I have played at launch and it was so much less crash prone. Don't get me wrong this version is much much better than launch but it crashes so often...
It still isn't halo and never will be. It's campaign and lore is trashed beyond repair and you still can't change your God damn colors. Games from 20 years ago let you do that. I mean really the lore is so screwed. The forerunners were entirely retconned. How can you even like halo infinite anyway? Do you like no customization? Or no playable elites? Or no assassinations? Or no new vehicles? Or weak as hell weapons like the ravager and the pulse carbine and the disruptor or the shotgun? Do you like weak power weapons like the cindershot or the hydra or the heatwave? Do you like vehicles that are basically useless because the map wasn't built for them? And nit just that, they break easily! Do you like randomized spawns for weapons? Because that removes map control. Do you like how they made the plasma pistol useless? Because it doesn't even disable vehicles anymore. Also who the hell put ADS and sprinting in halo? And that's just the multiplayer. Here's the campaign issues. Can we talk about how ugly the game looks? Seriously the lighting is atrocious in multiplayer but it's worse in the campaign. It looks unfinished and honesty I don't doubt it is. Anyway, you don't even kill the antagonist. You just kill his goons. There's barely any characters. And the story goes nowhere. Seriously you start on zeta halo and you end on zeta halo. And you kill some goons and that's it. That's the story of infinite. The boss fights are boring because you can easily cheese their AI and their AI is really dumb. They are just a big dumb hitbox. The map is lifeless and empty. And there's literally a single biome. Vehicles are useless because there's rocks and trees in the way. Why is the map covered in big ugly pillars? That's not even how a ring looks like under construction. Also there's this cringe scene where chief goes "we all make mistakes, it's what makes us human" and like dude, that's not chief at all. Also no flood. Now onto the fun but very deeply flawed infection. Why can the first infected go invisible? That's not fair. Seeing your opponent in a fps game is crucial. And you can't hear them until it's too late. Also why are they ridiculously fast? A slide is really really fast and it gives you little to no time to shoot them. Even if you shot them you'd still die because the net code is shit and you would both just die. Also why does it give u point of surviving instead of getting kills? This causes people to just hide away until everyone else is dead. Also you should be able to shoot through ur team because u camp in the mode, it gets crowded. there's been times where I shoot a rocket launcher and some dude gets infront of me. So it blows up and I die. As the survivors there's some camping spots like the one in chasm where it's literally impossible for the infected to get u. Especially if you have 2 people. There's also glitch spots where the infected literally can't get to because they don't have a grapple shot. The net code in the game is really really bad. It affects every match and is a huge reason not to play the game. In conclusion, you're wrong about it being a good game. You can say you have fun with it but it's objectively not a good game. Besides 343 literally hates halo and its fans and mocks them with things like the infamous rec pack video. Anyway there's all the reasons as to why you're wrong. Just go play Titanfall 2 instead. It's one of the best games ever made. Seriously though quit shilling for halo infinite. Apparently halo infinite deserves positivity because it fixed some of the issues. Let's just forget the 10 years of neglect to the halo series yeah? Or the horrendous launch. Or every issue listed above. God dude 343 shills literally have no brain. Though you know what? Halo infinite is the game you deserve. If you're seriously willing to forgive them after all that and be positive about the game then you absolutely deserve this turd of a game.
@@HeroOfJusticeYT so me explaining why he is objectively wrong is apparently being a loser? Maybe read the comment and then write your trash. And it's not just a video game. If we just forgive trash games because they add some features to improve it then that signals companies that they can release trash and be forgiven. I mean really do you even exist? Your comment is so dumb that it makes me wonder if you are even a real person. So how about you read my comment first then spew your garbage. Though seeing that you play destiny 2 it's pretty ironic that you call me a loser. You play a game that requires you to pay and grind for hours. It also explains why you have such low standards for video games.
I'm still amazed they don't have multi team in the game. That's been a staple of Halo games since the beginning. Could you imagine Oddball or King of the Hill modes with 6 teams of 4, 8 teams of 3 or 12 teams of 2. The chaos and mayhem that would ensue would be great entertainment.
Companies NEED to realize how important ranks can be, and ones that DO NOT DISSAPEAR after 4 months, its so satisfyingly to log back in after months to see your hard work, the ranking system is basically one of the sole reasons why I'm coming back, plus everything else you mentioned of course. Finally!!
Halos focus should always be on the social aspects.. reach did this so well, progression was so barebones that you weren’t playing to beat a challenge, you were playing because your friends were
Yeah I find it infuriating to know Halo 3 (2007) had better social features than a game released in 2021 with a much bigger budget. I don’t even think their engine can allow the addition of all those features (like proximity voice chat). Going F2P was just no the move. Should have stayed with the classic style game package
@@Soliye.The Slipspace engine can do it considering it's just a fork of Blam engine used for Halo 3 It's just that there's so much tech debt accumulated over the years since Reach that it all finally came crashing down during Infinite's development and they had to dedicate the first YEAR of the game's lifespan to cleaning up shop It's why only now they've seemed to be finally able to hit that live-service mark
@@malif1279 I'm not really sure what you mean by technical debt. They had the money, they had the feedback from 3 poorly launched/received titles (H5, MCC & H4). They knew what people wanted and what to add into the game; the community is so loud it's deafening... Yet they probably reiterated the Infinite project over and over until they realized they were running out of time and decided to merge everything they had. Which gave whatever we got. They clearly put a lot of time & effort into how they'd monetize their game PRIOR to launching, and they polished it out afterward too. I don't care how much crap they add to the game now, its based on a money printer design. It's like adding sugar on shit until it tastes good. They definitely had the mean to make it work. Halo 3 isn't unachievable in 2020s. You just need actually competent lads at the head, who can properly lead pre-prod & production. Have a definitive goal and don't lose its sight till it's done. HOPEFULLY they can do that now that seats have moved, but I'd start working on the next actual title.
Funny how a lot of old games had features that kept people playing Battlefield 2, halo 2, mech assault 2, the list could go on. Those games are seen as old and archaic by modern developers who don’t know where they went wrong. It’s simple games are best played with friends so a social play list or other social features and communities are essential to how much the game is enjoyed very simple math.
I'm back you convinced me. The biggest loss from its release was the lack of level progression. I missed it from my young reach days. Edit: Yes, please bring Elites I miss Spartan vs Elite modes!
Mad respect for changing your mind! We may not agree on some things but I respect anyone who’s able to change their mind based on new experiences. I agree with you for sure.
The improvements really seem to confirm that the former leadership of 343 was really holding this game (and by extension the whole series) back. Glad they're finally gone!
DLC for the campaign would be cool. I feel that multiplayer has gotten a lot better especially SWAT (sorry Tactical Slayer) the maps at launch were to open and spawn killing was crazy. Playing on the new maps it seems like it's back into full swing.
I mean the gameplay is solid, like actually really good and feels great. Server's have a rare hiccup for me sometimes is the extent of the issues I've had. My only gripe still is to have the option to choose gamemodes/maps rather then have a random playlist.
As someone who recently got back into infinite, im so glad they got rid of the bizarre challenges, I remember being stuck on a really stupid challenge one week (killing 5 spartans with a sniper snapshot while in the passenger seat of a warthog going through a grav lift) like who the hell thought that would be a good idea lol
Mate, I gave up and uninstalled Infinite back in January 2022. I didn’t think I’d ever play it again after how bitterly disappointed it left me, but after watching your video, that genuinely had me laughing at points, I feel an overwhelming sense of nostalgia, joy, and maybe even an urge to pop back in and check it out. If you make people feel the same way as I do, you might’ve succeeded in drawing a decent amount of players back. Genuinely great video, keep up the good work dude, look forward to seeing you on twitch.
With Infinite lately, I'm having the most fun in a video game I have had in many years. It's a breath of fresh air for me, this is how it should have been from the start! If it was like this from the start everyone would be playing it just like how Halo 2+3 used to be.
Infinite really has improved, especially in terms of stability and playability. It could really use a classics playlist: race, old rules KotH, old rules infection, 1 & 2 bomb assault, Grifball, juggernaut, etc. It'd also be awesome to get the classic shotgun & Halo 1 pistol back.
I love how you can be a bigger man and give something another shot, looking at it objectively. As you said the people who made those promises that they broke are no longer there, so why punish the people who are working on it now. It shows that you don't adhere to the pack mentality that you can't change your mind on something and if you do, you never truly believed in the cause in the first place. That takes a lot of courage in todays landscape where one wrong move online and say something that the majority doesn't like, your ass is grass.
Been a lifelong Halo fan but the launch of Infinite burned me completely. I don’t know if I’ll ever regain the faith and trust in this franchise again when there are other options out there that haven’t f-d me over as a long time fan.
Split screen Co op is never coming back, or playing as an elite, halo will never launch finished again, you have to pay money to change the color of your spartan. You buy each color individually
As someone who has loved this series the first time I booted up Halo CE on my OG Xbox, I'm glad to see these changes have been and are continuing to being made. Me and my friends have been debating on jumping back in when we heard some of these updates going through, I think it may be time for the prodical son to return home.. 😎👾
You hit the nail on the head. I want to play the game again and had not felt that way since Reach. Although still not all the way there, the improvements venture closer to an incredible game.
Agree. The game is in a better state and in October 17 we'll get even more content: AI in forge, cross helmet customization, flood themed armor and much more.
Been playing regularly since launch. Could be the Halo nostalgia but this game just hits for me like nothing else out there. Glad to see others might come back and give it a chance. Just wish the net code got get a bit more polish.
Still too less too late. - customs still broken - theatre still broken - forge partially broken - desync is worse then ever before - shop gets the most attention and the prices are at an all time high - weapon sandbox still contains only of BR, AR, pistol and heavy weapons - MP maps restrict to play the way 343 wants you to play. (invisible barriers everywhere which could engage skill jumps and other stuff. It was the most fun in halo 3 to outplay your enemies with jumps they didn't know existed. I personally spent hours to find and train jumps on all the maps. In infinite you have either no hitbox or there is an invisible barrier which blocks you away) - etc etc etc
@@SilverViper1000Theatre broken? What? I just used it to watch a match not too long ago. Desync is on every game, I don't know how you guys never get it's a connection thing more than a game thing. So nice to see the game gaining some ground. I was there 2 years ago and the content was awful, left the game for a while but just recently came back in the last month or 2 (because its halo) and it has improved significantly. Glad to see it, nobody wants to see halo die ❤
Trust, once lost, is infinitely harder to regain. Glad to see the game isn't lacking in base features like it was on release but honestly, it just isn't enough and for a lot of people might never BE enough

I've been playing it since release. It's been so long since i got to enjoy a dedicated Halo experience, and seeing the game improve, while the playerbase shrank was something that felt really sad. I think the little changes they made were a stroke of genius in a lot of places, and it's the most refined sandbox the game has ever had. Really happy to see it constantly improving. I hope that the winds turn around and people start to play it again. I think the game can live up to its 10 year cycle if good word of mouth starts to spread around about it.
This looks like the Halo I wanted at launch (multiplayer wise). I'd still would have preferred for infinite to have been a complete all in one game with Reach style unlocks, but I'd rather this than see the series die. I'm going to reinstall and get on tonight. Thanks Act Man!
It doesn't matter if it improved or not. It should've been like this a launch, and 343 still broke promises to the halo community. Halo Infinite doesn't deserve a redemption arc.
@@TheActMan not after everything wrong they did. 343 is an incompetent development studio, and they don't deserve the support. I've been playing Halo Infinite regularly on and off since launch, but more regular than not. I think the game is actually in a decent place, and what it needs more than anything is a population boom. So hopefully this video brings a few new players, thanks Act Man!
The game still needs to fail to punnish 343 and force them to just do it properly first time the grapple hook ruins the game theres still no vehicles the graphics are dogshit the game is just terrible
No this Halo game needs to continue failing so they don't make a crappy free to play Halo experience again. Right now the steam count for MCC is higher than infinite. A 10 year old re release of games older than 10 years.

Season 5 has honestly been a god-sent in regards to Halo Infinite content. There are so many things added that fans have wanted for YEARS. It's still absolutely not perfect, but this new team and upper-management is doing more in 5 months then the previous did over their ENTIRE development run. I haven't enjoyed myself this much since Halo 3 and Reach. Also, I keep on coming back to Husky Raid lmao, that gamemode is fucking chaos.
Infinite has got so much better since launch man, I'm just glad Infinite hasn't been abandoned, they're still trying to make it a better game.. Imagine infinite a few years from now.
I dont know, I hope the next halo comes with all these features baked in so we can have a complete experience after launch not 3 years later. Still waiting for a proper campaign story (maybe DLC).
Hey Actman, I was just with my friends the other day talking about missing Halo, and now this Video comes out. I think its a sign to go back and give Halo Infinite another chance. Thanks again for the awesome video!
It was really fun playing infinite at least one time a week and enjoy the incremental changes. I bet it is even more awesome if you have been away from the game for a while
As a Halo fan, I'm really glad 343 actually seems to be listening to the people playing their game. That's more effort than many developers would put in nowadays (looking at you, Activision). Halo was one of the first FPS games I started with, and I still think it's a great series to this day and hope it continues to be.
I'm not glad for anything related to this trash game which stunted the potential playercount. 343 can go to hell, especially for the remainder of this garbage game's lifespan.
Dude really? This is the same cycle that you 343 shills have been going through. "343 FINALLY LISTENS TO THE FANS? HALO IS SAVED!" no its not and here's a list of a lot of flaws in infinite. it still uses the broken lore of 343. The forerunners being aliens is... it doesn't even make sense because forerunner tech can only be accessed by humans DNA. So they couldn't use their own tech? Also the countless lines by 343 guilty spark and the gravemind prove humans are forerunner. Changing the forerunners was a decision with no thought and it resulted in plot holes like the ones mentioned and it also makes much more sense that humans are forerunners. That's literally the reason the human covenant war started. But in 343 lore why did it start? Guess we'll never know. Also with how the flood and the ark are biblical references like dude it is all so perfect. And 343 ruined it. Well, I guess not "ruin" because it isn't even canon so it's nothing to worry about. Furthermore, you know the whole reason that goofy promethian human war happened in 343 lore right? Because humans were destroying forerunner colonies because they were floodified and when they thought about explaining why they were destroying them to the "forerunners" they instead said "nah lmao" How can you even like halo infinite anyway? Oh and please break the cycle of "343 LISTENED TO THE FANS?!?!?" Halo is over.
I actually did hear this rumor while back that they are making a firefight for Halo infinite. I'm definitely crossing my fingers hoping that me and my friends can fight infinite amounts of the banished. Most of all I think that haloinfinite has definitely set up the stage for Halo 7 8 and 9, crossing my fingers that they don't screw this up now that they got new leadership, I actually am hoping that Microsoft considers letting 343 doing remasters of the Halo games such as Combat Evolved and Halo 3 proper Remasters. Also who wouldn't love a new Trilogy of Halo games based around the ODSTs? just saying.
The huge problem here though is that Infinite is a live service. This means Forge creations could be easily broken with future updates. And this wouldn't necessarily be an issue if we could go back to earlier versions but... It's a live service! :) Honestly, the whole idea of making Halo multiplayer a live service was such an awful one...
You’re doing a really good job at re-sparking that love for halo that I have and the halo CE soundtrack in your video is one of the main reasons why ☺️
Actually kind of surprised to hear this. Seems like a fair take: lots of improvement, not everything is fixed, and the population hasn’t recovered. Personally, competitive games bring out the worst in me, and I just want to matchmake for cooperative game modes. Come to think of it, I kinda wish that was in the MCC as well.
Even if Infinite fully recovered, there’s nothing sadder than thinking about how Bungie once pumped out one masterpiece after the next compared to their peers at 343.
Yeah. Two years later and it is finally in an appropriate state to launch in, minus the ability to choose your primary and secondary colors independently of each other.
@@dc3747 Halo 2, you could choose your own colors and emblem. In Halo 3, you could also change your armor, emblem, and color. Halo Reach did the same, but expanded it so much. Hell, even Halo 4 and 5 were like this, though their armor was trash. All for free. Why charge someone for colors and armor when the Forerunner chads over at Bungie proved to us that earning these things through gameplay was far more worth it? I don’t blame you for not being able to experience the classic Halo games at their peak, but just know that microtransactions are and will always be cancerous.
@SplendidCoffee0 I did play those halo games during their peak. And quite frankly I didn't care. I've come across 5 star Generals who wore the default mark vi armor. I've come across inheritors who wore the default mark v b armor. Why? Because they didn't care about armors. They just wanted to play the game and have fun. Not treat halo like it's some dress up simulator, which is what you and everyone else try doing. Ever stop to think, "Damn. Halo CE only had one color and no armors. No secondary or tertiary colors. But that didn't stop me from playing the game." You live like the cod players. Complaint after complaint over armor pieces when they don't affect gameplay, just like skins don't affect gameplay either Edit: by those games,I specifically refer to 3 and reach
I remember booting up Halo Infinite about a month or two ago just to see how it was it doing. I ended up playing for a week straight because all the improvements just made me wanna come back and play more.
After almost a year without playing multiplayer I think I’m gonna give the game another shot when the new season launches. I hope to see you all there. Also can somebody let me know if there’s been new Forge content? Not new Forge maps but like new objects and all that. I know AI was rumored for season 5 but was anything added in season 4 that I can look forward to playing with?
Idk, maybe weapon lowering, but next season we should be getting ai, two new canvases and maybe a new veichle and weapon for like the whole game not just forge, but if the falcon comes I’m sure it would be good for forge maps
I really want to see this game succeed. Theres a good foundation for a great game here, it just needs to be realised. If they keep improving the game, hopefully the playerbase will return as well.
Act man you made this video a little early the season 5 trailer came out and its well worth the watch. Looks like the community is getting some stuff its been begging for
I’m glad u gave infinite another shot, I stuck with it and it’s only gotten better the only thing I want is for them to stop forcing colour coating schemes and patterns and let you make ur own
I started playing again because of this video, but none of my friends or family wanted to, so I stopped really quick. I did enjoy it, though. I do like that they added more maps, old iconic maps, military ranks, the improved challenges/xp, more game modes/playlists, the battle pass saves, fixes to customs and forge, and more. I think infinite is pretty decent right now. It is much better than before. The problem is that no one wants to play. And it's very hard to make new friends in-game because the game lobby doesn't exist. Also, there's still no rank rewards and career stats in-game, which removes a sense of achievement and progress that should come with halo. Those made me lose interest really quickly, despite my appreciation for all the changes.
Don't know about you guys, but me and the lads are LOVING Husky Raid. The mode even got us making basic maps in forge for it and playing custom games of it. Felt like the good old days glad Halo is getting the comeback it desperatly needed.
Give it a try man, I'm honestly having a blast (though the guy above me is right about the sweats, though it like any other shooter). But either way hope you enjoy the game 👍

You see it all the time with seasonal releases, even in the real world.
Something every battle pass game should have tbh
@@TheActManto be fair, Fortnite does battle passes right in the sense that if you buy it once, and unlock everything, you’ll have enough vbucks to buy the next one and still have some vbucks left. It’s pretty good

I'm happy to see FUN in halo again. I wish certain things weren't "Limited" a good popular thing should stick around not be "limited"
The popular limited ones they do try and bring back more permanently like Squad Battle. Unfortunately they can't just keep every playlist, it would lead to too many of them not having enough players in many of them
@@alexlyster3459 that's a really lame concept for "why you can't keep around the fun limited events?" *isn't it important for people to be playing a game nowadays?

I think it’s a good thing stuff like ninja modes are time limited. It can bring people back to the game and because of how repetitive the game modes play, it would get stale pretty fast being part of the permanent playlists
@@Silver4Hire so just to clarify? A game mode you like, you are okay with it going away? So it doesn't get stale & has a high play count when it is available? *Previous Halo games allowed all the game modes & custom settings always. That never affected how popular those OG games were?

@@oxsilaIt's really not the devs. It's execs that want things pushed out the door to appease investors and meet quarterly profits. Forge AI is going to be a game-changer. Imagine being able to create your own firefight mode or campaign mission.
Or dust II… with AI
Too bad it’s all for nothing with how dead the CGB is
That's what people said about Cyberpunk's mod tools and it still has one of the worst modding scenes around with very basic mods that boil down to obvious fixes, all of which are now redundant, nude patches, and advertisement changes. So there are a ton of mods but they all do the same 3 things lmao. Well, and the flying car mod I guess, which is still buggy af.
Yeah, may even see Machinima's get a small resurgence.
I think for me all that’s missing is more vehicles, weapons and really ambitious modes.
I feel like just the classic vehicles is enough but we need the return of the unique vehicles from the previous titles and maybe some more unique UNSC vehicles im interested in the variants in the warthogs and more team based vehicles. or maybe some banished team based vehicles.
It is also missing campaign contact
for me it really is the weapons. feel like the vehicles are decent, would like more, but really the veriety in halo 5 in weapons spoiled me. would love to see that 1 shot kill shotgun come out.

Feels good to see a genuine and well deserved positive video about Halo Infinite in it's current state, especially from you.
Oh you poor fool.
@@Soliye.The Slipspace engine can do it considering it's just a fork of Blam engine used for Halo 3
It's just that there's so much tech debt accumulated over the years since Reach that it all finally came crashing down during Infinite's development and they had to dedicate the first YEAR of the game's lifespan to cleaning up shop
It's why only now they've seemed to be finally able to hit that live-service mark

Halo reach had more players then Halo 2
Nice to see the act man revisiting halo infinite again. I do think it has improved a lot so yeah, it’s nice to see you try it out again
They still have playlists? Instead of bringing able to CHOOSE WHAT YOU WANNA PLAY? Yeah no thank
As a Halo fan, I'm really glad 343 actually seems to be listening to the people playing their game. That's more effort than many developers would put in nowadays (looking at you, Activision). Halo was one of the first FPS games I started with, and I still think it's a great series to this day and hope it continues to be.
I'm actually glad that the old leadership is gone. Maybe Halo infinite will finally get what it Needs.

Because humans were destroying forerunner colonies because they were floodified and when they thought about explaining why they were destroying them to the "forerunners" they instead said "nah lmao"

Yeah. Two years later and it is finally in an appropriate state to launch in, minus the ability to choose your primary and secondary colors independently of each other.
@@alexanderrobins7497 exactly. They need to make that shit free, I don’t know why people defend the microtransactions in this game
@@SplendidCoffee0probably because it's just colors and you're not required to buy anything?
Complaint after complaint over armor pieces when they don't affect gameplay, just like skins don't affect gameplay either
Edit: by those games,I specifically refer to 3 and reach
I remember booting up Halo Infinite about a month or two ago just to see how it was it doing.
I ended up playing for a week straight because all the improvements just made me wanna come back and play more.
Bro. I'm the exact same! I couldn't believe how much they had changed!
@@tomhuddleston1850 so much! Feels so good
Season five is also supposed to bring in a lot of changes so we should make a video about that when that releases as well
The management change has been long overdue and it really shows
After almost a year without playing multiplayer I think I’m gonna give the game another shot when the new season launches.
They did add some more assets/canvas in 4, as well as neutral scriptable objectives, i believe. Oh, and static/reactive water tiles.
I really want to see this game succeed. Theres a good foundation for a great game here, it just needs to be realised. If they keep improving the game, hopefully the playerbase will return as well.
Act man you made this video a little early the season 5 trailer came out and its well worth the watch. Looks like the community is getting some stuff its been begging for
When I think of a great progression system I always have to bring up halo reach it was so simple yet felt so rewarding
I’m glad u gave infinite another shot, I stuck with it and it’s only gotten better the only thing I want is for them to stop forcing colour coating schemes and patterns and let you make ur own
Exactly!!!! Especially since you have to buy or grind to get anything beyond a solid basic color
I just miss the old halo man...
I'm glad you mentioned assassinations, it was one of my favourite features in reach, I do hope they bring It back
Don't know about you guys, but me and the lads are LOVING Husky Raid. The mode even got us making basic maps in forge for it and playing custom games of it. Felt like the good old days glad Halo is getting the comeback it desperatly needed.
I'm taking your advice ActMan and dipping my toes into Halo Infinite! It's been way too long since I've been this excited to retry Halo Infinite.
waste of time, too many sweaties that never left, you are at a huge disadvantage. No one cares, they took too long.
Give it a try man, I'm honestly having a blast (though the guy above me is right about the sweats, though it like any other shooter). But either way hope you enjoy the game 👍
Try that featured playlist it's honestly some of the most fun I've had in Infinit÷ and I didn't even play it with friends
@Trigger200284 Sweaties is just the nature of online gaming now, not just a Halo Infinite thing. People are just better and more experience at games than they uses to be back in the Halo 3 days
Tbh, Act Man should've come back a bit sooner. Glad he came back!
I get why people rely on content creators to give them advice. It's impossible to give hundreds of hours to EVERY game that comes out. It's just unfortunate that the overrall rep for this game hasn't changed since S1, S2 because of content creators boycotting back then. People just assume the game still sucks.
