"Doubt me now. Go on, doubt me now!" F**k yes! That got me. Brought the feels. Thank you a million times over for the inspiration. Cheers.
Thanks for saying that Rob! I needed that guy in my head to help me get around! 😊
You did it that was so good Freddy a lot of feelings in and about and it will strenghten you mentally and make you a better runner and the one that do what not many can do. great Freddy. inga dk.
You just completed an ultra marathon you beast. The strange addictive thing about running is even though you’ve just been through hell, you’ll fancy doing it again!
Already looking to sign back up 😊
You should be so proud of yourself.Totally inspiring to us amateur runners.

Thank you Kenneth! 😊
Really proud of you freddy you don't have to be a stick insect to be fit.well done mate.
Thanks Paul! 💪
Freddy, this was emotional for me to watch, to see the moment of self doubt, questioning your achievements. That was hard to watch but then you coming to realise later that what you have trained and persevered for has now paid off with an absolutely incredible feat of determination and endurance. The next big achievement is putting life your life out there for people to see, the great, the challenging and the raw life experiences. I think you’re amazing, keep inspiring people and have a good break. Steve
Thanks for these words Steve! Genuinely appreciate every one of them! Some of it was actually hard to watch back for me - I can really be hard on myself, just glad that I came away feeling great about it though. Now I have a PB to best too 😉
So pleased for you, you went and smashed it absolutely brilliant, enjoy your time off and come back refreshed 😊🎉
Thanks so much! 😊
Wow what an amazing achievement, you are a legend. I registered for a 50k this year and backed out, let people get in my head telling me, too old, fat and arthritic 😮 this is true but I might have been able to do it.
Are you in the UK Anne?
Oh dear, such bad messages given to you.
Well done Freddy - You should be super proud of yourself 🏃
I started my running journey at 20st so I know how hard it can be. Know that you will be inspiring so many people
Thanks Will, I'm over the moon with how it went went. 20 stone! Congratulations for getting it shifted and getting out there mate. I really have to address my dieting and get more weight off now, hopefully help me get quicker at least

All a mental game, Freddy! You showed this in spades. Hard, hard, hard!! You *should* be proud of yourself. You have done brilliantly… Now, take a rest, and think about the next challenge. Losing some weight needs to be in there…

Thank you mate, that genuinely means so much to me. I am pretty proud of that one to be fair.. on to beating it next year though 😊
Brilliant I fully understand with the heat, i got to lap 9 but my body was finished. I ready to return next year and go for the 100k, same here I learnt so much about me and what I want to achieve.
Congrats on the 9 Phil. It was a solid day in the heat! Probably see you there in 2024 😊
A true inspiration. Well done!

Your incredible freddy, fantastic achievement and great video.
Thanks John, we go again for the third attempt in June 2025 ☺️
Great job! Congratulations!
Cheers Lawrence! 😊
Sensational Effort Freddy! To think you have come from a stagnant lifestyle and have just gone further then 99% of people do in 24 hours!! You have every reason to be proud of yourself and if you remain consistent you can easily achieve well over 150K next year!
Here’s hoping Noah! I genuinely believe with the right training, weight loss and patience, I can crack the 100 miles one day
@@freddyruns As long as you don't give up you absolutely can!
So proud of you and excited for you. Slow and steady wins the race, consistency gets you so far. You’re amazing. Your chronicaling this journey in video is going to inspire so many people just getting started over the coming years ❤
Thank you so much! 😊
Amazing 👏, just back off my holiday and needed to see this. Be very proud because you inspire so many of us..
Thanks so much Taffy! It’s was a tough day but we did ok in the end 😊
Fantastic effort, well done
Thank you so much 😀
God damn! You made it, good job man! it's really mental game after one point, that's what i learned during my marathon couple weeks back! Especially if it's hot for us not so small boys! Good Job Freddy!

Bloody awesome mate, well done on your superb effort. You should be so proud of yourself. Please continue your journey in finding yourself, you have a lot of faithful supporters.
Thanks Jason, stick around mate - lots to come 😊
Fantastic work mate! Amazing to see how far you’ve come on your running journey, well done.
Thank you! 😊
Nice work. Be proud!
Thanks!
CONGRATULATIONS!! I'm SO bummed you missed the excitement and atmosphere of the start, but it's probably not a bad thing... everyone gets caught up and goes out too fast anyway. 😂 That just means in your next race, when you're even stronger and more confident in your abilities, you'll really be able to enjoy it!! Go get yourself one of the 50 mile stickers, and slap it on your car with pride! Looking forward to an update on your recovery and future plans! Thank you for taking us with you, you've been such an inspiration.
Thank you Kelly, lots in the plan for the future - some bold targets to set!
Incredible effort man! Keep up the inspiring work!
Thank you Grant!
Very well done, Freddy - 83km is just amazing! And the journey to get there has been just as important, you really put your heart and soul into it, and it showed, and it paid off. Keep it up, and keep on inspiring.
Thanks Kathryn! I’ll keep going 😊
ABSOLUTELY AWSOME!!!! Welldone for that fab effort. I know from experience when people say negative things, they really hurt, now I use them and picture their faces when I say what I have done. You're a massive inspiration to many many people. GO ON FREDDY!!!!!
Thank you Kingsley! Your comment came just at the right time for me, a real pick-me-up! 😊
@@freddyruns we all need a pick me up every so often when you get the running blues! I got an injury and had to cancel 3 race, very gutted! But now I look forward to next year and I will pay more attention to strength training, stretches and warming up. Your video really is an inspiration!
Well, well done, you should be so proud of yourself for doing this 👏 👏👏
Thanks Helen, I’m really chuffed 😊
Oh I cried. Well done for giving it your all. So many positives to take away from that, and what a distance! Well done that man 😊
Thank you, I told myself before the run that I’ve cried enough on this journey!! The emotions took over though! 🤣
Huge congratulate mate! It's been brilliant to share your journey
Thanks Jim, we’re just getting started 😊
Good on ya Freddy! An unexpected laugh at the start there, lightened things up a heap. Don't do it next time, as I was looking forward to the mass start footage! Anyway, well done again, and keep enjoying this running malarkey thing. It's the journey that keeps on giving.
Thanks Ewen, I’m genuinely glad it happened this time. It really gave me permission to relax and have a laugh from the very start 😊
You did a great job 👏 I don't care if you have some extra weight, I am proud of you. You stayed on your feet. I would have quit. Rachelle in Seattle
Thanks Rachelle, it was a testing day - so glad it went the way it did though 😊
Impressed with the logistics and perseverance. Well done! I hope your recovery goes as well. And like everyone here, looking forward to what's next. You have what it takes ... obviously.
Thank you!
Really well done fella, you did a great job, don’t let anyone’s comments affect you, you’ve taken steps to better yourself, it’s not about being fitter than the next person but all about being fitter than you were, you’re doing that, keep on doing that and on to the next challenge, stay strong 🏃🏻♂️💪🏻👍🏻
Thanks John 💯💪😊
Great run Freddy, you’ve come so far in such a short time.Keep it up mate,we’re all behind you.❤
Thank you so much 😁
Loved watching this. Well done you. And I’d forget my starting chip too…easy done. I feel so proud of you. It’s utterly amazing and illustrates the mental strength and determination you have. I hope you celebrated in style.
Thank you Lyn! Let’s just say I think I might need to detox now! 🤣 it’s been a fun week. Back to training tomorrow after a week off 😊👍

Thank you so much! ☺️
Well done, Freddy! What an incredible achievement. It’s been so fun to follow your journey so far - you’ve inspired me, and so many other people. Hope you’re also proud of the community you’ve built and the way you inspire people.
Thank you so much Rosie! It’s all come out of the blue, I didn’t think for even a second anyone would want to watch a middle aged over weight bloke try and run! I’m loving the community aspect of it all, genuinely feel like I’ve made a lot of new friends this year! Everyone is just so nice!!
The inspiration i needed for my own race this weekend. You were epic. Congratulations. Proper hardcore effort that. Enjoy the recovery.
Thanks Stu! Good luck this weekend mate, I’m sure you’ll smash it. Just remember to soak it all up! 💯💪😊
Thanks for posting that. Genuinely inspiring, and has given me the final push I needed to enter as a solo runner next year.
Thank you Stuart! You’ll absolutely love the event, it’s genuinely great fun (I know it didn’t always look it in the video 😉). Good luck with all the training mate - might even see you there!
Hah! Spotted 4 Dewsbury Road Runners walking behind you as you did your pre-race intro!
🤣 saw a lot of Dewsbury tops flying passed me that day!
This man can do anything! Epic work mate 💪💪 That's a huge distance to cover. Well done 👍🏻🤘
Not anything… couldn’t put my shoes back on for instance 🤣😂. Thanks Mark!
@@freddyruns 😂😂 every man has his limits I guess!
WOW!!!! i can’t even imagine trying to do that!!!! you went sooooo far for sooooo long!!!! well done!!!!!!!😃

Thank you Matt! Really appreciate the ongoing support mate!
Always mate!
Nice work champ!
Thank you!
here we go, I couldnt watch it in progress, so this is all new for me
Congratulations mate! I'm over the moon for you 😁 well done. You had me creased with your delayed start, but your positive attitude got you past the irritation of that pretty quickly - a lot of people don't have that ability. I think it's something else you should take pride in.
All the best
How could you not laugh in that situation 🤣😂
@@freddyruns I think I laughed so hard at it because I identified with the moment so much!
It's EXACTLY the sort of thing I do all the time man, I just try to remember to tell myself "there's nothing so bad that you can't make it worse" and do my best not to let my emotions make the problem any larger than it already is!
Aswum work again rob
Thank Jon! See you for beers on Friday!
definitely mate and your son didn't want to put his name on here
@@jonpitcher9542 not sure what you mean?
Absolutely brilliant! Good job, well done and thank you for inspiring me and others.
Thank you mate! 😊
Brilliant mate, you can be so proud! Buzzing for whatever is next!
Thanks Joe, I’m pretty chuffed. Time to set some targets!!
Good Arrows mate! I found it very moving just watching it let alone doing it. You can feel very proud - heroic journey. Well done! 🎯
Thank you JB! 😊
an amazing accomplishment Freddy. The heat played a massive part making it that more difficult. meaning this achievement is a whole more impressive.
Thanks mate, it certainly made it more of a challenge 💯
Fantastic effort, the last bit is always the worst, but you hit 50 miles, so be proud of yourself. I looked at your first videos from 7 months ago, and you can see how much fitter you look now. You can still improve, recover, and go for the next challenge.
Thanks mate - definitely fitter, though I have been disappointed with the weight loss. Time to really address that now, so I can get faster
You did amazing! What an achievement, and such an inspiration for others! Well done ⭐
Thanks for saying that Matt! 💯👍
I am so incredibly proud of what you have achieved, simply amazing. Having watched the blue dot on strava for many hours it is great to understand what was going on. The honesty you have shown over the course of this journey has been refreshing to watch. A genuinely true runner doesn't share their experience for views or clicks, they do it to inspire others. You are true runner.
Gary, thank you so much for the really kind words. I’m just out here trying to get better, I’m really happy that others can relate to the journey. 😊
On yeh go FR. Class, I doth my cap again sir. This has Inspired me to commit to a target - like a goal! You nailed it mate.
Thanks Daniel mate!
Inspiration on here and on Strava, looking forward to your next adventure(s)
Ah thanks mate, just trying to make a better version of myself, really glad people can relate to the story 👍
Well done Freddie! Amazing result. I hope that you’re proud of yourself, you really should be!
Thanks a lot Mike! 😊

Epic effort mate, you should be soo so proud of your efforts. Enjoy the downtime 🤟🤟
Thanks Steve, really chuffed with how it went mate and now have a PB to beat!
Freddy! I'm so so proud of you for everything you have achieved! This was emotional to watch and I was routing for you all the way! It was so funny watching you chuckle away at the beginning about the mishap. These things happen and you had the right mindset for it. You battled through all the ups and down, not just during this race but throughout your training. You have absolutely smashed it and achieved + learnt so much since starting this channel! I'm genuinley excited to see what more you can continue to achieve in the future and I'm here for you every step of the way. You're a hero and true inspiration.
Thank you so much Kat! It’s certainly been a ride to get to this point. Can’t wait to see what happens from here myself! 😊
