Would you take on a 24hr race?
I'm gonna run 24 hour but not a race, just charity run by the end of 2022. Wish me luck, preparing A-Z
yes
Yeap
Hmmm, nah. I'm not ready for that!
No
My wife watched with me and at the end she said “She’s better than you.” I replied that that wasn’t the point but it was, of course, true. Congrats on 50 miles and 500 smiles.
Time to show your wife whos boss and send her back to the kitchen
Hahaha it's not the point David! Do you think you'll take it on next year?
I always love seeing your videos... they're usually so down to earth and realistic.
Anna your endurance (mental and physical) is amazing. To see you smiling the entire time is wonderful. You are an inspiration!
Thank you for all of the support Daphne! Have you got any races lined up?
@@runningchannel So kind of you to inquire, thank you. I am cross training now to allow my ITBS to heal but targeting a local 5K towards the end of August. Your channel keeps me smiling, motivated and learning new things. Thank you!
You made me leave my couch today and I did 10K under an hour, thank you!
Wow, that’s awesome! Well done 👏
Saw this while laying on my couch. I'm warming up for a Saturday night run now lol
I've wanted to do a 24 hour race for a while now but I think I should probably get through marathon training and my first marathon. I'm 14 and I've always loved running long distances. I finished an 18 mile run two days ago it was the worst physical pain I've felt but very worth it
Great that you're so driven and love running long distance so much! 👏 probably best to train for a marathon distance before you take on an ultra marathon, but it's a brilliant long term goal to have! What's been your favourite distance so far?
@@runningchannel half marathon but I'm getting to the point where it isn't challenging enough so I'm moving up to my first marathon
An Anna video without tears? How unusual! Ha. I mean that in the best way, once of the strengths of Anna in front of the camera is seeing all the emotion. Loved this video :)
Anna acts and represents herself as an average runner, but in truth, she's a stone-cold badass.
My other takeaway from this video was seeing it light at 10:00 pm and being reminded just how far north England actually is...
You’re the best anna! Such an inspiration for all of us
Thanks for all the amazing support! What races are on your bucket list?
@@runningchannel NYC marathon and a 50K ultra eventually. Doing 70.3 iron man in AC this September 😃
What an amazing effort! I cannot even comprehend running that long, then sleeping and getting straight back up to run again. Here's an idea - the beer mile - 1 beer per lap (you know where I'm going with this). Beer 24. 5 mile lap - 1 beer per lap - GO!
Great to bump into you (twice) on the laps and get a selfie update. My first Endure24 and we managed 29 laps as a small mixed team-great fun and we all want to do it again ! Well done you!
Congratulations Trevor! Hopefully we'll see you at more events soon 😃
Brilliant film Anna, and well done!! I did Endure 24 Reading this year in a team of 4 and managed 30 miles. Your film captures the atmosphere and spirit beautifully! It's an amazing event where everyone is going through their own mental and physical battle. Loved it, will definitely be doing it again!
Awesome Anna, great to see your thought process and strategy changing. A great inspiration
Love seeing Anna on these videos. She is so upbeat and personable. Cheering you on from Mississippi.
I love these race report/vlog style videos! Thanks Anna, and very well done indeed!
Love these types of videos! Definitely inspiring for 2023 😁 Well done Anna! 🏅
Great stuff Anna and good to see how you adjusted strategy to what worked for you as well. I'm the same, if I stop I'm probably not going to move again!
Great job Anna, well done! I'm inspired.
Incredible Anna. Amazing effort and a great video as well!
👏👏 huge well done Anna the Runner!!!
Well done!! Amazing you smashed it. I love this!
What a great footage🤩. Congratulations on your performance🥳. I never was inspired to go for a marathon way to far. But this could definitely be one for the bucket list.
Go for it Simon! Why does this appeal to you more than a marathon?
You are an inspiration Anna! Great video (am posting this halfway through so I hope it all ends well)!
Thanks for sharing! Doing my first 24 hour race next weekend in a team of 8, really looking forward to it!
Amazing! Best of luck. Which once are you doing?
@@annaharding1947 ThunderRun 😊
Great to see you at Bramham Anna, I have done solo at Endure twice, beaten by lack of prep in 2019 and by the thunderstorm in 2021, I did it in a team this year and enjoyed it more, I now don't feel the need to get to 100 miles but it is a great endeavour to do once in your life
Well done on a great challenge. Love these long distance events and how they test your mental toughness 😎👍
Nicely done. These videos with Anna have become my favourites of this channel.
Ahh thank you ☺️
Well done Anna! Great video and has deffo inspired me to try a 24 hour. I did my first ultra this year and I now have some more on my list that I want to try and was thinking what to do next year. Might have to be this one!
That was absolutely amazing Anna! Inspirational indeed!
WOW!!!! what an amazing achievement. Well done to you Anna and all those that took part too.
The first time I did 100k I took hour breaks between ~10.4 mile loops. It was a disaster. Like you I found that I got sore and tight during the breaks and getting going again was absolutely torture.
Since then I have learned to keep moving with an emphasis on fueling and hydrating constantly and walking fast when running seems impossible. Really, the key is to not give my body the chance to enter recovery/healing mode. Caffeine can be a help too. Did I mention keep moving?
Great to watch this video and see how much you had done after saying hello a couple of times on the course. Well done Anna.
Well done Anna. Hoping to do this next year!
I love watching Anna she is so lovely, relatable, and soooooo inspiring!!! Her strength of mind is unbelievable. More Anna please.
Fantastic running and determination to get back out there in the morning 🏃🏻♀️👍🏅
Amazing work Anna, great vid!
Great job Anna, get inspired watching your blogs.would love to do this at some point.Keep up the good work👍😁
The atmosphere looks amazing! Can’t wait to see you smash this Anna!
I would have thought they’d lit up the course a bit more at night - were they expecting people not to run in the dark?
We think that’s part of the challenge, ultra marathons often don’t have lights throughout the course and you have to reply on your own torch/supplies to get you through
I just signed up for my first official half marathon.. May only be 2 hours but feels like 24+ and both 30 minutes at the same time. I'm so excited and you guys' tips really help!
That was amazing. Well done 👏👍
Watching your videos before I go for a run really helps me mentally prepare!
Very well done!!👍👍 And you're probably ready for 48 Endure someday soon. Happy recovery! 🙏😊
Well done Anna, you made that look easy!! Amazing 🤩
I just gotta say how much I love Anna! You're truly an inspiration! Way to kick ass!!!!
Can Anna come to NY and do rock the ridge in 2023? It's 50 miles up a mountain. That would be awesome!!!
Mite have to give this a go next year. You are an inspiration anna
Go for it Scott! Such a great event! Have you done an ultra before?
No but have looked at doing one for a well now
I throughly love watching you conquer your goals and be a badass! You are amazing Anna!!! 💪🏾🔥💗👟
A great event, and you captured it so well.
I think a 24 hr race would be a great experience. My hats off to you. You make it look fairly easy. This is something I would like to try
Great Kathy! Have you got a particular event in mind?
Great video and great to see you Anna, I'd love to get to that endurance one day 🙂
Absolutely incredible, Anna! You’re just amazing!!!!!!! Wow!
Brilliant to see how an event like this can challenge both mind & body. Well done.
Well done Anna, this has inspired me to look at ultra marathons! Xx
Brilliant. What a fantastic diary!
Fantastic effort Anna!! My club took part in the Spitfire Scramble 24 hour event last weekend (I’ve done it once before) and it is TOUGH!! I ran 2 laps with friends to give them some company but I was very happy to go home and shower!! Huge kudos to you!! 🤩🤩🤩
Thanks Christina! Glad you enjoyed taking part in a 24hr race 😁 would you do it again?
@@runningchannel Ermmmmmm……. Not sure 🤣🤣 You did make it look fun as a solo runner though.
So inspirational!! Well done Anna!
Great Run Day Anna .....You Rock !!
I’ve run an 8 hr and 24 hr lap race. Both were really inclusive for the reasons you point out Anna. Love them for that. Unless at the pointy end of the race then it really is a case of pick your own goal. I achieved 100 miles in my 24 hr race - short stops every lap & one 10 minute snooze. Coffee at midnight was the best! Backyard ultra style will take it to a whole new level of toughness.
Congratulations, that was amazing!!!
Great video and great to see you finish. You looked to be having so much fun while also feeling the pain etc. I don't think I'm up to a 24 hour challenge, maybe 12 if and when I put my mind to it.
I always love to watch you race, Anna! Great run! My very first ever race was actually a backyard ultra (only a couple of months ago) and while I only did six laps (which at least made me avoid a „DNF“ status as per the rules), I absolutely enjoyed the format. It's not only a test for endurance, but even more for tactics. Would love to see you give it a try. 🙂
Wow what a great first race! Where abouts did you do it? What would you change if you were to do it again?
@@runningchannel It took place at the „Devil's Loop“, a 6.66km course in a nature reserve in the norths of Berlin. And the next time I would make sure to get enough sleep beforehand, I only slept three hours and that made things hard. :-) Beside that: a good flow of nutrition is key in my opinion, because you never know how long it will go.
I did the Reading endure and managed 8 laps solo. Really is hard to get back out after a rest. Well done.
Congratulations Anthony, what a great achievement! 👏 What appeals to you about the endure events?
Amazing achievement Anna and with smiles pretty much all the way. Well done 👏
Omg I just had to say how funny I found that, about figuring out the hrs 😂😂 I do exactly the same when I’m trying to figure out parking permits when I visit my Mum n dads house sooo funny 😂😂
I would definitely love to do one once I'm better at running. Aiming to reach my first 5k soon!
Amazing! Are you enjoying it so far?
@@runningchannel definitely! 😍 Ran my first km non-stop today 😁
Anna's smile makes everybody smile!!
:D
Congratulations Anna! You did it!!💪💪💪
Good job 👏 👍 You kept it interesting
Great to bump in to you on your last lap. Well done 🙂
Likewise! 👏 well done
This looks very fun, I've got a road marathon in 2023, then I'm going to do some trail events either marathon distance or less.
Then 2024 is the year I start doing some ultras, this looks like a fun one! Brecon to Cardiff will be my first one because it's fairly early in the year and I feel like one on home soil should be my first ultra. :)
You're just wonderful in every aspect of the word.. :) Love ya!
Guess... 18. Wait, that's almost 100 miles! OK, 12.
Congratulations!! You did incredible, and with your normal wonderful attitude! You made the right choice with your planter fasciitis. 50 miles is amazing! I'm headed into a 12 hour next weekend, and still have lingering pain in mine. I love this style of race, I always bring a comfy chair to relax in when needed. It's a great way to do marathons/ultras, because you don't have to worry about getting lost, the aid stations are full of good food and energy, and any support crew can see you often without driving!
Good luck with the 12hr! Hope you have a great time
game plan for a 24 hour race: sit on the settee and watch anna do it :) i'm out on a 14 hour bike ride tomorrow so not as tough as what Anna has done but for me it's going to be a killer, btw great job Anna thoroughly enjoyed the video.
After my friend ran 78 hours on Endure24 this year and my other friend a few years ago 55 miles and you the lovely Anna. I am inspired to do Endure solo next year to run the 100k I want to do.
Loved reliving my endure journey through your video, how did u look so fresh after 50 miles.....amazing, see u next year maybe
Very cool, very inspirational well done Anna
Anna, I admire your resilience. True inspiration.
I’d love to try this. Anna well done.... so inspirational
Coming up I have signed up for a 12 hour event, must complete 3 miles every 15 minutes 😵💫 glad I got to see this!
Thanks so much for being a goof ball in public 😜your intro made me laugh and brought my mood up several notches just watching you being silly 👍
Brilliant, Anna!
wuaw what a challenge!! well done Anna!!
You are an absolute trooper - endurance superstar 👏 👏 👏
Annaaaa😍😍😍. Everytime I see there's a new video from Thr Running Channel just makes my day😘
Thanks Andri! We really appreciate your support 😊 What's been your favourite event we've covered?
My favourite is everything about long distance running and workout 😍
Anna, you are awesome!! Missed endure this year, after watching Anna, maybe solo next year…
Go for it Jason! Have you done the event as part of a team before?
Congrats, Anna!! I've loved this channel since the NYC Marathon video. Any plans on coming back to the States?
Thanks Tom! Hopefully soon, we love going to the States 😍 Have you got any US races planned?
@@runningchannel NYC again in November and the Dopey Challenge at Disney in January. 48.6 miles in 4 days, something right up this channel's alley! 🤣🤣
Well done Anna! The summer months are best run at 6am on those really hot days. Or at least that is what I have done as I don't deal with heat well.
How are you finding the heat at the moment Ivy?
@@runningchannel I am doing the best I can. Although, I am not running at the moment as I have health issues caused by covid. I am only walking on the treadmill and holding onto the bars for safety reasons.
Yeeeesssss!! More videos like this as well as 50ks, 50 milers and 100ks, please!!
Noted! Thanks George! 😃
Well done girlie 👏 xx
Great job, Anna! I absolutely admire you. :-)
Yes I would take on a 24 hour race, seems fun and would run, how you first started in the first 7 hours, but love these challenges🥳🥳
Cheers 🥂 to a warrior Queen 👑 and everyone else who endured 24 hours of roadwork! ✌️ Blessings my You Tube inspiration!
Well done Anna!
So amazing Anna. Congratulations and thanks for sharing this with everyone.
You are making me feel Tired! You are certainly putting Endurance into Endurance so well done👍I'm Running a small Race next April called The Brighton Marathon! Nothing compared to Your Double Marathon 🎖️
Thanks James, glad you enjoyed the video 😊 Good luck with the Brighton Marathon training! Is this your first marathon?
@@runningchannel NO! SECOND MARATHON! My first was London in 2009 Time 4.25
Why ?Have you any Tips.🙂for Brighton.
Wow! You are amazing!
Awesome video
Wow that is amazing x
Amazing well done!
And you look so fresh faced
That looks like such a great experience. I did my first marathon last year and I'm training for another, but started thinking about a backyard ultra of 5km every hour from my house. I would love to see you give it a go too!
Go for it Michael! How many laps would you be aiming for? 🤔
@@runningchannel I would aim for 12 laps minimum but would want to push for more if my body could stand it!
Well done Anna! Looks like fun, I would like to try this one day. May put this on my bucket list. I have one question: do you change your gear every lap? Example: change shoes and Jersey. Also, what type of running shoes did you wear? What brand?
