It was a total honor and lot's of fun to drum on this show and tour. It was a great line up the boys are super Kool and talented. Thanks to Joel for making sure I played the drum parts live with his hand signs. Noone knew the songs better then Joel besides Anton of course
You did a great job big shout from Scotland
@@the_egg_man492 Thank you Sr I love Scotland I want to go there
@@christianomarmadrigalizzo3462 if you ever come here I’m just outside Glasgow your more than welcome at mine.It would be a honour to show you the place.I bet you have a few stories from the BJM days and the rest of your days 👍💯
love
@@antonfjordson hey brother man I watched your food interview with Anthony Bourdain in Berlin that was trip to see. It's great to see your drive your obsession the fire with writing songs and how you use cooking killer food as a creative outlet and as a tool for the music it's like you're still looking for that perfect song, almost ignoring your body of work on purpose for it to stay out of your way from letting new/old ideas to see the light of day. It reminds me of my time working with Rozz Williams. Genius. Legend it is. One in the same.
This is unbelievable footage. What an absolute treat. Thanks Joel!
I couldn't find the words
Danke Joel💕
thank you SO SO Much -- I've wondered about this show for years....now I know how good it was in snippets but it's better than nothing!
the best job in rock and roll ;-)
I love the sound of multiple 12 strings playing in unison :)
I’d love to see a live compilation from 96-98, if not complete shows, out on CD some day! I listened to the 90s BJM albums on repeat for 6 months in my car on the morning drives to campus. Great memory for me (incredible music does that). Joel, thanks for sharing your talent.
ua-cam.com/video/ntjmEEmtwKo/v-deo.html If you love BJM, you've probably seen this Atlanta show for 98....They try. It's good. But then they start messing with Anton -- and that damn movie hasn't even come out....yet.,,,,,,
Thanks so much for putting this together, Joel. So many of your fans (me included) want so badly to see footage from this era. Vibes are there, so much so. My favorite is when you pull that stage crasher back on stage and he's like 'Fuck yeah, Joel's the man' and encourages more dancers to come up on stage, haha. Pure gold
LOL I REMEMBER WHEN I FIRST STAGE CRASHED A BJM SHOW, MY BACK STILL FUCKING ACHES FROM GETTING LITERALLY KICKED
@@jtb9751 who kicked you ? bounce? surely not band!!.
@@jgwire oh yes, surely Anton never kicked a fan 😂
Jeff 🔥☄️ this is gold...
There's something incredibly enigmatic about the spirit of Anton. I do believe you captured it at the five minute mark, because during a certain acid trip I remember hearing an overwhelming tranquility in his voice. You carry this as well, and I hope this sickening world will grasp the artificial intelligence brought by the BJM upon our global demise. All best.
Thanks Joel!
Stunning footage. Been waiting for years to see more of this show. My kind of time travel 😎
Jeff Davies hair ruled. When you guys were on you were fucking on. Greatest rock and roll band ever.
I know huh, very John Cale
This is just great. This era of the band gives me hope for humanity.
Thank you Joel! The sound quality is insanely good! And so cool to see the OG (best) lineup live. Right on!
Nice Joel! This sounds great! We met briefly at Ameboa before I knew who you were. I was new to town. You were supercool and knowledgeable. Owe you one.
God I love the way Matt plays anenome on bass.
This has inspired me so much
There’s no notorious tambourine player like you, you are one of a kind
God bless you and the BJM, always grateful!
this is the greatest sloppy, glorious mess -- BRILLIANT! where is the rest! I LOVE IT -- In prime form with a great lineup during such a special time, Never saw more BJM members smiling during a show -- well, a little.... WE - CAN'T GET IT BACK -- enjoy and move on to the BJM playlists across Youttube. TONS OF GREAT STUFF.......Thanks to whoever posted this...made my day totally.. Been seeing the one clip of Caress for years - but wasn't expecting this treat!
Iconic thanks for uploading
seriously... best band ever
I always come back to this whenever I want to feel inspired
Thanks Joel from Argentina ! What a sound gosh !!!
Epic. That’s one to look back on for the ages.
I was at this show. One of many.
Oh my!!!! This legit made today even better.
Thank you Joel.
This is a perfect capture of that moment. Simple and free. And yes, Jeff always had the best hair. 🖤
Thank you Joel, loved this
Mr. Gion looks like a funny pokemon here, but this is really appropriate
. Guys are so cool. Thank you for the footage, Mr. Gion!
Thank You Joel!!! Saw BJM last year at Bimbo's 2nd show (Sat) (Anton got sick 45 mins in) Saw Dandy's two weeks ago at The Fillmore. I was hoping you would jump on stage for a song or two. Love your Solo records! Cannot wait until your next one. Take Care!!!
I love this version of Who Ever You Are so so much
It’s a goddamn shame that she was running around with a camera for 7 years in this era and we don’t have vast amounts of live footage…sad.
That is a good point, is there any footage out there?
Thank you Joel! Incredible footage
Great songs. very complex and timeless.. watching you all play them in the 90s, flawlessly, while high is a serious treat. thanks joel.
Anton…i get to grasp how brilliant you are a bit more every passing year…you’re incredible! Freaking genius. Unsure how you keep it all together with so much running in your mind 24/7. God keep his genius, but let him enjoy peace too…..bless his mind working so much faster than most. You dear angel.
Good job Joel for the upload. Thank you.
what a treat! I've followed you guys for so long and I constantly look for new footage. This has made my day.
The bass is so good, Jack Cassady stylie!
thank you
This was THE line up! This was one of many shows I got to see in my SF days. Saudade
Same here! I saw many of the shows around SF as they were coming up. Good times!
Joel, you are a gentleman and a scholar. Thank you sir for uploading this.
Its hard for me to watch this... I was in a dark place about 14 years ago, listening to these albums constantly, and it kinda takes me back. They're all on heavy shit here... Theyre my favorite band, and Id rather watch their current stuff.
Cant speak for the rest but going by interviews, Anton seems in a cleaner and more sober headspace and the band is still magnificent. Guessing you've seen the cardinal sessions london show.
oro puro señores! esto es como volver a ver DiG!
one of the best lineups
Probably my favorite bjm footage. Sounds great ....wish i was there
That bass tone god damn
Best concert of all time it seems
Just discovered you guys and I think this band is awesome and true talent , much love from new jersey, Im a musician but not like you or your band I just play guitar and bass
Great band. Thanks so much!
This is great, thanks for posting something new for my eyes to look at. Hope you're well.
The different guitar parts fit so well together
Thank you, Joel! You guys rocked the house!
Didn't know Joel had a youtube channel. The mighty tambourine man gets a follower for sure. Listen to his solo stuff, definitely cool!
YOU GUYS ROCK! Thanks for the groovy tunes. Massive fan
this version of the lantern is maybe my favorite i've heard
Wow. Thanks for this!
Classic!!!!! Thanks Anton
Esto es lo mejor que le pasó a UA-cam

Needed this so bad! You're the man!
This is the greatest rock and roll band of all time.
Damn this footage is finally available
Was having lunch at this chain restaurant the first day of cv restriction easing in Taipei. Over their sound system I swear I was hearing the riff from Servo. I launched into "Open up 'cause here I come (but I am)" on cue when some gal started singing completely different words and melody. I don't know who the F she or they were, but that Servo riff was pilfered for some other BS song. So I went back home, put on Give It Back! and watched Dig! for the third 12th time to get over it.... Where are you hiding out this covid Friday?
I love you Man!!!!!
6:57 jeff davies takes his distortion off and that twelve string sounds so damn clean. Almost too good to be true
Good ear sounds sooo good what a guy Jeff was great guitar player so unique
Honestly this whole video is kick ass. Love that Hey Joe lick in the beginning by Hollywood.
Hey, thanks for uploading the show was awesome i wish i was there. But sorry, now i want more. Is there a full version somewhere to be found?
The good ole days

Awesome!!!
Pure gold 😎👍🏽
So damn good
I'd love nothing more than to have been present for this show. Thanks Joel. Is there any way to get to see the rest of the set?
Danke Joel💕🥨
Working with a squad over comms is literally the only way I have fun in this game. But it happens so, so rarely!
Awesome. Classic!
my attention span thanks you
Joel, we miss Jeff
I wonder what happened to that dude. I'm surprised he doesn't have a band or some kinda gig.
Love it, great era
scruffy cool rock boys. my favorite band.
Hey Joel, its me Adam, the guy that took a selfie of us at one of your gigs in London that time, you do remember right? I do, clear as day 😆 🤣, thanks for the upload man, have you got anymore footage of you the band in the archives? I hope so 🙏
