More than a new switch, I'd love to have a real online service to play its games on the cloud or at least like streaming from the switch to everywhere.
I have the Old model, I play mainly other than Nintendo games. Mostly Assassin's creed games, particularly Black Flack I think it plays wonderfully on handheld. I play crisis on it, no stuttering, nice gyro and to me the graphics and colors with the Oled model are delightful. Gyro for shooters works fine.
Hey Nintendo! Here’s a novel idea.... give us a more powerful Switch that will run games at a steady frame rate in 4K and make it backwards compatible! One more thing....give us a damn DPAD!!!!! We don’t need gimmicks. We just want a system that works well and can play newer games. Stop with the damn gimmicks.
People really want a switch compatible with the steam deck but these folks could just get the steam deck. The steam deck is trying to be a computer in a handheld, the switch is just trying to be a handheld.
I think what we Should be worrying about is making the switch capable of running games that run better on the XBOX 360. Minecraft came out in 2009, and the switch STRUGGLES LOADING THE ASSETS AND CONNECTIVITY. I love nintendo, but if the Xbox 360 and 3DS can run it fine, the switch should be running it better

Ds and gba games are no longer manufactured, so that would never ever happen with physical games, not even the smallest of chance. Virtual games they could possible do for ds and gb
@@fabulously695 PS1 games were not being manufactured when the PS3 came out, but the PS3 was still backwards compatible with PS1 games. I don't think that games not being manufactured anymore is a good reason to not make a newer console backwards compatible with them.

Just like DS to switch(2017), the PS5(2020) is not compatible with PS3 directly. Backwards compatibility doesn't make money, it doesn't drive up sales of games, it makes no sense to do it. You forget that the games companies don't care about what we might want as individuals, they only care about the money. Once they stop manufacturing games, they're done with the console, what do they have to gain by doing otherwise? If they're not selling the games, or the console, you buying the game of eBay doesn't give them more money.
I think that the next Switch needs 5 main upgrades (other than being more powerful) to make it a must buy 1) able to support 4k games 2) upgraded base memory (128 Gb) 3) new Joy-cons. Better trigger, and a real d-pad 4) backwards compatible with Switch games 5) better battery (6+ hours in handheld) I don’t think it needs to do much more though. The switch is one of the greatest consoles of all time and most iconic. Rather than completely change it and make it different, I think you just need to take the foundation you have and tweak things to make the gameplay more enjoyable.
I am just hoping for 4k and 120 FPS (1080p) (better processor). And a bigger screen like on the OLED Edition would also be cool. It would be nice to play the games I have on the switch on the switch2, but I don't think this is going to happen.
I think Nintendo needs to come out with a new system this year. Otherwise, a system like Steam deck will blow Nintendo out of the water. And Nintendo will never catch up ever again.!!!!!!
7:35 You haven't finished his sentence, he later said: "Having said so, Nintendo's strength is in our creation of new entertainment, so when we release new hardware going forward, we plan to continue to offer new and unique gameplay that cannot be realized on existing hardware". That means NO backwards compatibility. And that's smart from them, why bothering with this when you can sell something twice?
Hearing & believing that the Switch 2 will have backwards compatibility gives me hope. Also, I will start saving up to buy it for whenever it releases.
So the switch 2 won't be coming out for a long time then depending on how long it takes to make it with the chips and new updated hardware with shortages and all
its got about as much graphics power as a radeon rx560, twice as powerful as the base model xbox one and ps4, and half a teraflop more powerful than the steam deck's graphics chip, it will be an impressive little handheld for sure
I have several Nintendo hand helds, I am still playing my DS2. I am saving up to buy a Switch. I like the bright colors, so you don't lay the Switch down and loose it.
@ZONEofTECH Nintendo Switch 2 upgrades: -replacement analog sticks and buttons. -better cpu & gpu -OLED Screen -Sidekick phone flip screen if you want to play games DS style -enhanced dock -better online experience -AR cameras on back of system. -VR games and headset to slide switch 2 into to turn into a vr style game device and allows you to use joycons as gyro controllers. -better battery -backwards compatibility -customizable performance options like steam deck
@ASMR CARBON That hell no is the reason why Nintendo losing today to steam deck, Xbox, and playstation. They're gonna end up being the next Sega if they keep playing these games. Personally, I'm not expecting it until 2H 2024 - maybe Q4 2023 if we're REALLY being optimistic. Whatever happens, Nintendo needs to take good advantage of DLSS in their Switch successor, if indeed they are running on a T239 (or other Orin-based) chip. I'd also like to see them use 16GB of RAM, but I somehow won't be surprised if they skimp and only use 12GB. For features, I'm hoping for a base controller that has a proper analog stick (i.e. isn't so prone to drift), and maybe some wacky Nintendo take on VR/AR, but is still VR-capable, regardless. I would also like to see an Ethernet port on the dock, better ergonomics if they decide to keep a Switch-like form-factor, and some more advanced features on their next Pro controller. Again though, not expecting half of these things to make it in, since it is Nintendo. Price-wise, I won't be surprised if we see the base model sitting anywhere from $350 to $400 USD, with an eventual "Lite" version coming a year or two later at $250 to $300. Sadly, the price-hikes from the pandemic are here to stay, so I'm not expecting a base model under $350, unless 8nm chips are being sold for dirt-cheap by then.

Perhaps a feature that can’t happen is the current switch is controllers that don’t drift!!
Update to wifi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, and faster charging PD 3.0. IMO these are important features as well.
include media player as well...
Imo these make no difference in this context
I heard Dlss and I started to cry, thank goodness. Just with this latest pokemon game violet and scarlet you can clearly tell the absence of the Dlss.
Just like they made Lite; I would be happy if they announced desktop-only model. Like a homeconsole.
Is that why the switch is so expensive 🤦♀️
People really want a switch compatible with the steam deck but these folks could just get the steam deck. The steam deck is trying to be a computer in a handheld, the switch is just trying to be a handheld.
well that sounds easy and reasonable
We won't get a 4K nintendo console until 2030 😂😂😂
I think what we Should be worrying about is making the switch capable of running games that run better on the XBOX 360. Minecraft came out in 2009, and the switch STRUGGLES LOADING THE ASSETS AND CONNECTIVITY. I love nintendo, but if the Xbox 360 and 3DS can run it fine, the switch should be running it better
so do i buy the OLED version or wait for switch 2?
whats with them scrapping new consoles and just making variants of the switch...
ok, how do i preorder? ; )
is it still worth buying the OLED version then?
Combinding the switch and the capabilities of the wii would be a dream.
Awesome News, I can't wait to see the switch 2 revealed, thanks man 👍
So, wait for switch 2? Or upgrade from gen 1 to oled? 🤔
I hope Nintendo will bring back dual screen gameplay. I really enjoy my time with my NDS/3DS.
@@krisbg113 I imagine a separate screen just like how people bring laptop & 2nd monitor/tablet. But then when I think back, you'll need a constant internet connection to connect those two monitor...
No 😂 the switch good where it at buy a ds if you want that
It doubt it's coming back
The only thing is it wouldn't translate well too docked play unless they make it so you could use it like a Wii U somehow... maybe the dock could just be a wireless dongle?
@@asifyusoff5377 one word - "Bluetooth"
I know from experience that if there are rumors, there’s something coming out in the next 2-4 years
Hey man just discovered your channel! Good stuff! Cheers!
DLSS is not just in 4090's cards. It started with the 20 series cards.
Ok but does it have a tracker?
Wait how do u know what dirt tastes like
I always thought Nintendo's dabble into VR could be a something they made more use of more in future generations of the switch.
Personally for the Nintendo switch 2 I want the joycons to be a lot bigger so Joy con drift won't happen so they can be more room for all the stuff in the regular joy-con to have some room
I don't want Joycons 😐
Frame generation would be cool
Please Nintendo take our money 💵 and give us a next gen Console!
If they double down on the Wii U really means doubling down on the DS... And that means upgrading to the Super Nintendo DS Switch! Then a 3DS Switch!
Waiting for PS5 Slim & Pro
We’re not getting a pro model for the ps5 the only reason the ps4 pro exists is cuz the ps4 was underpowered when it came out
i have the red box version and i do love it for its first party games. But the Devs for Nintendo need to step it up and make their game full and perform way better. Zelda is the only game that looks and runs well but still can be improved. I want a switch 2 but i need to see it first. I also have the steam deck and i love that thing. But that also could use better screen and battery life.
I bought the switch yesterday. Should I send it back and wait?
What if the switch could broadcast to the tv like the wii u?
Nintendo usually does 3 iteration of a console then releases a new console then goes back and makes a 4th iteration of the last console
It can take years after a launch to get one. Getting the old oled version.
Happy New Year Dan 😊🎉
Thank you for all your videos this year, you’re a ⭐️ ❤xx
I am very excited about Switch 2.
9:37 Wait. I can’t find any for 300$ I live in Canada after all. Is £ cheaper??
Grab the popcorn somebody cauze this is amazing!
I'm hoping it will be backwards compatible with DS and GBA games.
Ds and gba games are no longer manufactured, so that would never ever happen with physical games, not even the smallest of chance. Virtual games they could possible do for ds and gb
That's not possible, unless you bring their online subscription which I think is the only way Nintendo will ever release those games.
@@fabulously695 PS1 games were not being manufactured when the PS3 came out, but the PS3 was still backwards compatible with PS1 games. I don't think that games not being manufactured anymore is a good reason to not make a newer console backwards compatible with them.
@@retrogamer4655 GBA (2001)games were not being manufactured when the DS (2004)came out, and they were backwards compatible. That is Nintendos direct equivalent to the PS1 (1994) and the PS3 (2006).
I hope this leak was for the pro and not the switch 2 since the specs are a bit disappointing
Just bought an OLED too! 😆
Ikr
I think that the next Switch needs 5 main upgrades (other than being more powerful) to make it a must buy
1) able to support 4k games
2) upgraded base memory (128 Gb)
3) new Joy-cons. Better trigger, and a real d-pad
4) backwards compatible with Switch games
5) better battery (6+ hours in handheld)
I don’t think it needs to do much more though. The switch is one of the greatest consoles of all time and most iconic. Rather than completely change it and make it different, I think you just need to take the foundation you have and tweak things to make the gameplay more enjoyable.
Omg imagine CarX Street on Switch 2
I am just hoping for 4k and 120 FPS (1080p) (better processor). And a bigger screen like on the OLED Edition would also be cool. It would be nice to play the games I have on the switch on the switch2, but I don't think this is going to happen.
I’d be very very surprised if a switch could pull 120 fps on anything lol
@@Soullturething can’t even pull 60 fps on Minecraft most of the time
@@MrChaoticCrazed true l 😭💀
@@MrChaoticCrazed if your talking about minecraft bedrock... yea its sooooooooo bad lmao, Minecraft console edition is Awesome!!
Nintendo doesn’t care about 4K. Or top of the line graphics. They’d probably focus on a performance boost
Please name it the Ultra Nintendo Entertainment System UNES 🤞
Nintendo’s first ULTRA HD (4k) system
2,5 teraflops is too good to be true
What is ray tracing
What is the second game called? The shooting military game.
Had my OG switch since launch, most definitely would be getting a “switch 2.”
I just got the oled 3 months ago 😭😭😭I’m gonna have to sell it and get the new one when it comes out lol
You’re insane. There’s nothing new coming out before 2024. You’re gonna be fine.
your fine it’s definitely not coming out 2023 maybe 2024 or later
I think Nintendo needs to come out with a new system this year. Otherwise, a system like Steam deck will blow Nintendo out of the water. And Nintendo will never catch up ever again.!!!!!!
7:35 You haven't finished his sentence, he later said: "Having said so, Nintendo's strength is in our creation of new entertainment, so when we release new hardware going forward, we plan to continue to offer new and unique gameplay that cannot be realized on existing hardware". That means NO backwards compatibility. And that's smart from them, why bothering with this when you can sell something twice?
probally talking about nintendo switch 2 with a 3d display like in the 3ds
Hearing & believing that the Switch 2 will have backwards compatibility gives me hope. Also, I will start saving up to buy it for whenever it releases.
So the switch 2 won't be coming out for a long time then depending on how long it takes to make it with the chips and new updated hardware with shortages and all
its got about as much graphics power as a radeon rx560, twice as powerful as the base model xbox one and ps4, and half a teraflop more powerful than the steam deck's graphics chip, it will be an impressive little handheld for sure
Microsoft will probably make COD multiplatform but just for the multiplayer mode. the single player campaign will be exclusive for xbox
I have several Nintendo hand helds, I am still playing my DS2. I am saving up to buy a Switch. I like the bright colors, so you don't lay the Switch down and loose it.
I just want streetpass back. A headset attachment for standalone VR like the Pimax Portal would be awesome though.
THAT and 2 decades of emulators that ran just fine on my dual core potatoe in 2003 destroys ANY argument as to NOT having them.
Just want to point out Spider-Man has 60fps with Ray-tracing. You are wrong saying that spider-man is 30fps with Ray-tracing.
@ZONEofTECH
Nintendo Switch 2 upgrades:
-replacement analog sticks and buttons.
-better cpu & gpu
-OLED Screen
-Sidekick phone flip screen if you want to play games DS style
-enhanced dock
-better online experience
-AR cameras on back of system.
-VR games and headset to slide switch 2 into to turn into a vr style game device and allows you to use joycons as gyro controllers.
-better battery
-backwards compatibility
-customizable performance options like steam deck
@Riccardo Sounds like you're not grasping the concept.
Try reading it again and looking these things up, it'll make since eventually.

@@PowerL1N3how about Hell no… 😂 they don’t need all that extra stuff. Simple yet unique. Remember Nintendo is Apple of the gaming world.
@ASMR CARBON That hell no is the reason why Nintendo losing today to steam deck, Xbox, and playstation.
They're gonna end up being the next Sega if they keep playing these games.
Plus who said they can release a pro version (the one I suggested) and a simple version (the one minimalist like you like)
@@PowerL1N3 Lmao 🤣 that’s an Ignorant comment… and basically signifies u have no business making an opinion on it… for One tell me when steam deck sells as many consoles as Nintendo switch alone not to mention their other products… dude Nintendo has the benefit of being in the game longer than damn near everyone. They can do whatever they want at this point kind of like Apple. They dont need a PRO version they will just make A Better version of whatever comes out. Period case closed. And ppl will buy it. Nintendo has shown they can drop a system like WiiU and bounce back DRASTICALLY they will never be a Sega haha are u seriously that ignorant??? Please tell me no
Considering the fact that none of the old one have gone down in price, at all no matter how old.
These will probably be like seven hundred dollars
Nintendo: Introducing the Nintendo Switch DLSS Edition
I could imagine that the dock will get extra hardware, that will make the switch more powerful docked
It should have had that from the start
There's an ethernet port on switch OLED dock.
probably be like 9 gb.. 1 dedicated for system and 8 for games
If they release a more powerful switch I definitely buy it. I hope they use similar technologies that Sony use in PS5 controller.
the oled is worse cuz the screen is still 720p but the ppi is lower so it's blurrier
Imagine all the AAA games that will be on Nintendo, just to be $70 because it’s a new release for it but not for any other main stream console.
