Thanks Ben - Ive watched both your videos on the S5. I've been working with a Nikon D750 mainly hybrid content for the last 6 years. Im due a upgrade but so far haven't been convinced by the Z cameras - mainly because I'd like video backup in my new camera. The S5 looks a great camera - I love all the features you get. I like feature that does the fake slide in video - and the pan in feature. I know I can work with its AF as I don't do the tracking people walking to camera stuff, I just obtain focus in non continuous and get my clio.
Hey man, I just subscribed to your channel. I have a G85 right now and I'm loving it. Thinking about getting into FF so I can do low light photography and I've been eyeing the S5 for a while now. I just wanted to thank you for the information that you put out. Definitely going to save up for an S5 since it's a great price for what it offers as of right now.
Hey thanks a bunch. I think anyone looking to upgrade from a smaller sensor will benefit from the S5, especially for low light, and as you said it really is such good value!
Yo dude great video!! I’m not sure what it is about his camera but for some reason I have a urge to want switch to it over other brands!! 😬 Lol but please do a video on the AF!! 🙏🏽
Good Day from the UK 🇬🇧!! Really like your presentation style and detail about the camera. How does thus compare with the G9 for photo usage? As suggested by many a video on auto focusing would really help to nail how good or bad it is compared to the other brands out there. Have a great Christmas!
I'd say the big difference your gonna see is in the low light vs G9. Some others would also say you'll get more pleasing bokeh from the FF sensor also, but I personally don't generally care too much for looking at things like that.
Very nice review, I plan to add the 70-200mm f2.8 for my S5, how is the stabilization in video with this lens ? For me the most important feature is image quality and IBIS.
So I got an S5 myself and having strong doubts about it and I'm ready to send it back. Issue #1: Sample videos showing horizontal interference lines in dark areas on V-Log (only seen on a computer screen at 4K resolution), tried different lenses and ISOs and same issue occurred. Lines appeared in both during internal recording and via HDMI output: ua-cam.com/video/sVTJii5QhHQ/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/3PwEr3pmKo4/v-deo.html Issue #2: While Prores Raw video recorded via HDMI output to a NINJA V at 5.9K 23.98fps, sometimes horizontal lines will pop up randomly. photo samples here: ibb.co/dtDqDqT ibb.co/nLQMzxT Wonder if anybody is having similar issues?
OK OK, I'm joking about the rolling shutter 😜. Tell me, what's your one feature you need your camera to do?

Definitely keen on hearing more about autofocus setting for different situations, cheers mate
I'll definitely put it on the list of future videos. Thanks for reaching out
@@benmack Yes, please!
I'm all about flippy dippy & grippy :) haha luv it bruuu
Haha you know it man!
Great review! YES... learning about the way to use the many AF options in their best possible setting for different situations would be Grand.
It's probably the most talked about point of the camera, so maybe it might be worth doing. Thanks for dropping a comment
@@benmack It definitely is (and very much) worth of doing it! Cheers
The problem with rolling shutter is not really the panning but fast moving objects: dancers, cars, planes etc.
Great video. Definitely make the S5 auto focus detail video.
Thanks mate, yeah I may have to, as it's definitely a talking point
@@benmack Definitely as it’s the only real controversial issue.
Yes do the AF VIDEO

Thanks Tim! Really appreciate your feedback
Thanks for that. I'll be buying an S5 in the sales after Christmas. Was going to get the G9, but I'm willing to pay the extra for this beast.
I think it would be a good decision over the G9
Great video dude. Helps a lot in my decision (I'm thinking of upgrading from a GH5 to a S5) ;)

There's definitely something to it hey!
Great review 💯💯
Thank you 🙏🙏
I would love a video on the auto focus
I'll definitely add it to the list 🙏🙏

You can see it was all handheld at 200mm, even in crop (about 300mm equivalent) it was very impressive.
Then you can shoot 5.9k RAW externally. I just wish it had better autofocus for walk and talks.
I shoot ping pong so rolling shutter is a no go.
So I got an S5 myself and having strong doubts about it and I'm ready to send it back.

Panasonic doesn't have any lenses for a decent price so screw them.
