Definitely the fake aging. Looks like this model was found on a coral riff next to the Titanic. My exact same 1/18 Burago diecast model from the early 80s is still in a pristine status. Ranges from 20 to 100 (the rip-offs) bucks on eBay.

Hi. Amazing work! ❤🎉 But where is the restoration and or acquisition of the interior and exterior parts like the grill, tail lights, engine painting etc?
From the website of the Bburago company that built them. They are still very much in business and offer nearly every part needed to fix or rebuild them. Even on their newer models.
@tornagawn No, I mean newer. It would make sense to offer replacement parts for older models. But they make replacement parts for models they just started offering.
Excelente trabajo, solo me sorprendió que faltaran algunos pasos intermedios como cuando pintaste el interior o como se termina de restaurar el chasis. El resto impecable.

Only one thing. This is NOT a model of the Ferrari Testarossa introduced in 1984, but it represents the Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa, so called because of cam covers painted in red, a tradition shared with other models. at 1:19 on the bottom, under the Ferrari logo it can be read "250 Testa Rossa (1957)"
Brilliant micro engineering brought this beautiful model back to life 👍 well done 👏 Also there’s so many experts watch this restoration I’d take that as a supreme compliment

No, it forms a granular layer of white Al oxide. Though I suspect this was made of a zinc alloy, and that doesn't corrode. Ohhh ...I just got that! Good luck ;-)
Great job all around. Wonderful restoration. However the windshield did not come out right. Needed a little more work to be more concave. And the muffler tips were too long. Other than that it looks great. Sometime it helps if you look for pictures of the original full scale car to see how some of the pieces looked in large scale.
@@fergy42 Here's what I think: This model is cheap brand new, like $30. Our "restorer" bought two, artificially aged one of them then resto-modded it using bits from the other new one, with the exception of some customised upgrades (filing, re-painting, custom exhaust, wing mirrors etc). Still, entertaining and satisfying to watch so I gave it a thumbs up for the effort.
