Unbelievable amount of fairly skilled work only to blow it up!!! I don’t think I would have been able to destroy a model like this after spending so long building it. Not to mention the cost 😮 Fantastic video, really well edited, just the right pace 👍🇬🇧🌈♥️
This is the best video I have ever seen in my life. The detail is mind blowing! I could not have destroyed it. I would love to know how much it cost to make it and how long it took to construct. It's amazing that it was all 3D printed. Love it.
Its amazing that not only is the model of outstanding quality to look at but that its designed to blow apart in specific ways. Fantastic craftsmanship.
Very awesome! I am sorry you had to delete the old version, but this is better. We get to see the model's creation and destruction. Looking forward to the next tutorial.
What was the budget on this one? Because you can't tell this is a 3d printed White House. Not to mention it delivers the exact same amount of realism and 90s vibe as Emmerich's shot. I wonder why no film production hired you to do their special effects scenes so far. Or did they?
This is insane! Really really cool! I would like to point out that this isn't actually the whole white house, but I also don't think it was necessary to have all of it. What he built is called the residence. The white house has two other parts called the East and West wing. But this model is perfect for what they were doing with it. Amazing job!
Amazing, the one thing I can't bare to watch these beautiful models being distributed for vfx 😊..it just breaks my heart. The amount of work and details on this. Of course sometimes depending on the needs and time available they create multiple peices. Also doing some stop motion in this would be cool like having a toy president convoy coming in and if possible building a landscape. Some day and night scenes..
@@pault5557 documentary of a Hollywood movie in which a blast of airplane was required, vfx companies asked more money than real airplane destroying. Then movie maker bought an old airplane, destroyed it and record real scene.
Absolutely no pain 4 him at all 2 watch himself & the amount of work that it took because someone who enjoys what he or she is doing enjoys this & love what they're doing instead they look back back & it feels good about the accomplishment itself & all the the accolades that come with it is well deserved.
All I can say is.. you've got 'Extreme Patience'.. and 'Extreme discipline to follow through with the demolition. Don't know if I could have done it! 😮
Not really. That is its only purpose. I started in this industry during the late 70s as a model builder and matte painter. Maybe we had "emotional attachment" to some hero models(because those took sometimes weeks to build and paint), but not the breakaway stuff.
I've seen interviews with some model builders that say they love watching their models getting destroyed because that brief moment on film was actually what they were building not the model itself. It makes sense, I built things with my heads at work and then later on those things get scrapped. It doesn't bother me in the slightest.
This model maker is a genius, he's also French. It's not the original model and explosion from the original Independence Day movie but an amazing recreation.
Now is all about CGI visual effect. previously it all about miniatures. How brilliant, to much effort, patience, handwork. Nice to see the old fashion in making a movies.
Thanks a lot 🙏 I built only one model and I needed hundreds hours to build it. The explosion was made with a mix of fireworks powder and firecracker ;)

Hard work, accuracy, perfection and painstaking efforts.. everything is unbelievable. Its destruction is really shocking.

I don’t think I would have been able to blow this up especially with the amount of time and effort as well as accuracy that this had taken to make
