Вставка
- Опубліковано 29 сер 2016
- It's always fun to get off the boat and do some pond fishing from the bank. For this trip I used a Whopper Plopper, 12 inch worms, and a swim jig. This allowed me to fish all water depths, and I caught fish on topwater, medium depths, and down deep with these three lures. Get out and enjoy some pond hopping folks!

is this the most relaxed fisherman ever or what?
Very cool intro Stephen. Looks like a great day of bank fishing.
bamabass I have a rare disease-- the only cure is Liz's PB video part 2
Same
Lol, you win the best comment award. I told Liz and we got a kick out of it. PB part 2 vid coming soon!
Honestly your videos never get old! Keep up the great work!
I swear you have the absolute best life any man could ever dream of.
Matt Hogan not that hard to go fish bro lol
Glad to see you're stocking the new StutterStep from Bill Lewis lures, looks like another great topwater lure.
Bamabass thanks for always teaching some of us to be better fishermen and always fun to watch
I enjoyed the video, and appreciated watching you work the baits. So many fishing videos just include the blowups and reeling of the fishing but I'm also interested in seeing how each bait is used. Good video quality and excellent editing !!
Right on! Nice video as always! I fish with 3 rods myself. Keep putting out the great Vids Bama! your info is priceless.
Intro was killer man! Nice eye! Keep up the great work!
the laugh kills me! pure happiness!
My wife and I love all your videos!! We love to fish together when we get a chance to fish!! Wish we had these nice ponds to fish lol
Nice intro, looks like a beautiful fishin' day. Cool lake for those chunkers too! Thx for the vid :)
Great video Stephen. Whopper plopper is my favorite topwater bait
It's a killer on the Susquehanna River in Pa.for smallies biggest last year was 5 lbs. so far this year the biggest is 3 pounds love the plopper.
Love your videos BamaBass.Keep em coming
Thanks for posting this video!!! This is how I fish 100% of the time when I fish and I like to have options when catching the LMB. However, I was trying to figure out which ones worked for me when fishing my various spots. Whatever I choose doesn't work for each spot. I find that I have to choose my baits according to where I'm fishing. Once I know what they're hitting on, each and every time I go and fish these spots, that's what I carry. I make few changes to my bait line up.
Heck yes... awesome content!!!
I just wear a backpack and it feels fine and it keeps my whole tackle box and everything else with it
Great video! Makes my day!😀
Bama....THANKS for your videos...you guys rock
Working my way down pond, fishin slow, working my senko... (To the tune of making my way down town)
Awesome topwater bite 👍
Love the pond action.
I have had more luck with mono.
Great Video! I love my whopper ploppper! Its a lot of fun!
The 1 dislike is flair
dude your awesome, i love your videos!
I'm seeing a trend here. Junebug must be your favorite worm color! RTR!
Gotta love the whopper plopper!!
Great video!!
Heaven at the start!
Do you change out the hooks on your whopper ploppers? I've always had a problem with the stock hooks becoming dull after 10 or so bass, and then as a result losing fish on blowups. I usually switch to the mustad triple grip hooks. Just was wanted to your thoughts on that subject. Loved the video!
hey man were u break everything down thats so easy to understand. could u do a video on what colors to use in water clarity? this would be amazing. or explain to me. im kinda new at bass fishing
Another awesome video. Keep up the great work! What size whooper plopper did you use?
I'm your newest member I really enjoy your videos
I use that same 3 rod approach. That's how you find 'em.
Loving your videos man! Recently subscribed and no doubt a great decision! Came across your vids by 1rod!
I for some reason cant get bass to hit curly tail worms around where i live. any reason for this? I can catch them on senkjos, jigs, chatterbaits, finesse worms.
awesome video
Good videos man
Are you throwing 17lb mono for all 3 setups?
Nice video!
I use blue jig worms not using weedless method and they are about 1 third the size of the ones you casted out,
bass hammer that jig worm all day long, I am going to fish with those ones for as long as they keep biting.
What pound line are you using with the plopper
favorite lure. that black whopper plopper
REALLY like your videos. Been spinning all my life, now I'm thinking about getting into bait casting after watching your videos.
Would like your opinion on the St. Croix Premier® Series casting rods. And should I go with the medium or the medium heavy action? Thinking about getting the Lew's Tournament MB LFS Low-Profile Baitcast Reel - TS1SHMB. Your opinion please.
Was the keitech on the swim jig upside down?
Is this a private pond? I live on the causeway also and looking for some ponds to fish.
I'm tempted to try this one cause I can let it sit in float where these big bass are here in fla over 10 pounds but I'm catching a lot on zoom trick worm
NICE!
Was that the 90 or 130 size plopper?
nice video man
What type of camera are u using.?
Whats your best color for a whopper plopper
I have an issue where I use the whopper plopper but the tail action always stops because it gets small little weeds stuck in it any advice?
Dont toss it at small little weeds
nice, just did a video too on this lure.. it's fabulous!
Best video
ive caught almost every size bass on that same color ranging from the size of the lure to 12 pounds
What lb test were you using when you were fishing the worm
17
Hey bud.. love your videos.. I live an hour from guntersville been fishing it all year and bites been tough outside of spring.. any suggestions??? PLEASE HELP
do u use braid at all
Thinking about getting some whopper plopper 110 90 130 I know it blue gill and peach what is your opinion no the colers and size are them Good corls just wondering someone told me bone in 110 are loner just wanted your opinion
was that trailer for the swim jigs on right? I usually put mine on with the tail flap pointing down. am I wrong?
no
You can put it on either way and it will swim the same. I just base it on the colors, and this had a silver glitter so I like for that to be at the top to look just like a threadfin shad.
awesome. thanks for answering
When did you fish
you've got your swim jig trailer on upside down partner. good vid
Baby Got BASS its a tecknike he uses
technique
Like if he should post the video of his 13 pound PB already
Hey love your. atches they are awesome!! One question what would be the best curly worm tail I can buy? one of the lakes where I fish there is tuns of hidri weeds, weeds and Lilly. pads. And what size?
Elias Ortiz if the have a lot of weeds you should use a live target top water hollow body sunfish are any kind of frog
Don't miss the game this weekend bama
I like how you stayed away from the waters edge, very important when pond fishing. Whats your favorite color Whooper plopper?
Loon in low light and I Know It in bright conditions.
What part of Alabama do you fish??
what part of bama do you live in
what is the reel you are using im pretty 4 shure daiwa tatula if it I have 1 great reel
Lew's Team Pro Mag
bamabass whats ur take on spinnerbaits
Wow its been 4 years and im just now buying my 1st whopper ploppers.
where is this pond at
Why choose a black whopper plopper over the other colors? What is the benefit of using black? Thanks!
fish see the silhouette of darker colored baits better
Joseph is dead on.
My husband fishes the loon color, and I fish the bone. Never fails, he gets more hits, regardless of water clarity
Cool intro.
Bama what size hook do u use for your 12 inch worm
+Austin Moorman 5/0
What made u decide to use the dark whopper plopper?
probs the time of day/season, topwaters will catch a lot of fish in the evening/really early morning hours
The shoes he wears for fishing LoL
What size Plopper was that? 90 or 130? Thank you.
Looks like the 90.
looks like the 130 actually. almost positive
@@babygotbass2005 it is a 90! he stated it to someone earlier in the comments.
i love top water fishing an the w.p is a great top water
*BamaBass* why did you use a black whopper plopper, that's the best color for early morning topwater? Thank you,
Yes, I use dark colors in low light situations because the fish can see them better.
BamaBass appreciate the information I must admit of all the Internet fishermen you consistently catch the biggest bass it truly has to be the local environment and skills, also appreciate your weather conditions video too.
What kinda poles do you use and what brand mono?
Travis Snyder he mostly uses GLoomis rods I think, and in this video he's using Stren. It's in the description.
oh shit. thanks
bamabass, what is your opinion on braid vs fluoro vs mono?
Its all situational.
Floro will cover all you bases fine maybe get braid for top water
Braid is for cutting through grass on the edges
Blakeo777 you don’t want braid for top water. braid sinks... it’ll effect the action of whatever top water bait you’re throwing. unless you use a mono leader. then you’re good to go. but otherwise? mono is usually the best for top water fishing.
What size whopper was that? Looked small
Size 90
What size whopper plopper where u throwing
Size 90
I ordered a whopper plopped but its on back order on BPS :( can't wait any longer.
should ordered it from bamafrogs.com
where in alabama do you live
Your a boss bamabass
What do I do?
I just got this same whopper plopper
what's everyone's thoughts on whopper-plopper colors? Black vs Bone.
Matt Hogan they both work great. I've caught a lot on other colors. The "I know it" is a good color as well.
I would've started with the topwater I can never resist...well done tho
I live in Northern California and the pond by my house is so bad I fish every finesse tactic and no bites but their is big bass like 1-5 lb fish. And I will fish from 2-6 pm
does any body else get more bites from the 130 than the 90? i know i do
I get more bites on the 90 But I definitely get bigger fish on the the 130
Bought a bopper today gona tear up the lake tomorrow
Do more pond fishing vids
Have you ever fished in Michigan
+BamaBass why don't you fish tournaments??? I feel like you'd crush it... Like FLW or something?
I considered it years ago but wouldn't like the travel side of it. You are constantly on the road all year long and that lifestyle just wasn't for me.
+BamaBass I hear ya. What about like a local circuit? Like down here in south Florida we have the king of the glades series
I have a problem with my whopper plopper, after a couple of fish my rings that connect the hooks to the baits body keep bending out of place and eventually bend to the point where the hook comes off, any suggestions? Not sure if you had the same problem yourself.
