    Probably one of the most informative vids I have seen in a while. I constantly watch fishing "education" videos weather I think I know the stuff or not. You always have to continue to learn. This right here was pure gold especially for new anglers. Nice job! Can't wait to see the rest of the series.

    Thank you so much for this video. This has shed so much light on what I was probably doing wrong last year. Last year was my first year beginning. I've been fishing before but really began getting more serious about it last year. Didn't have an awful year. Caught a descent amount of very quality fish. But the quantity was low. They don't have very many videos out about fishing conditions per weather patterns. Understanding contours, structure, etc. 1000s. 1000s of different videos for every single fishing lure on the market. But I'm willing to bet that this video is most informational and educational video on UA-cam. You can have all the right equipment, be at the right place, but if your there at the wrong time all that other stuff isn't worth much. I'm sure there could be anomalies to where some guy says he caught 20- 50 nice bass when all that criteria showed that it wasn't a really good day to go out and fish. But Michael Jordan also dumped 60+ in a playoff game when he had the flue. Thanks again

    thank you for deconstructing and explaining really well an area of bass fishing that I am 100% ignorant about. I guarantee you I will be going back and re-viewing this video throughout the seasons and recommending it to others, very informative and easy to understand. I'm happy if you just keep going down the list.

    I found this extremely helpful. I fish regardless because every time I go I usually capture a unique experience even if I don't catch anything. It's nice to be able to understand why the fish aren't biting. Most of my videos are about using Crankbaits. Lately the Bass have stopped biting them, but I'm catching more Catfish on them now.

    I just fished in the rain first time yesterday. Best fishing I've ever had. It was a light Rainy day the whole day, but I fished from 3pm-5pm. It was windy, rainy, was a full moon a day or two ago and we had overcast conditions. Caught 20lbs of bass I'm about 10 minutes with a football jig. I was moving lithe jig pretty fast and they were slamming it. Was amazing!!

  • @BassGeek
    @BassGeek 8 років тому

    Good info man. I would add that large crawdads will normally molt round the new moon that falls around September or October depending on the section of the country and when it on the calendar it falls. The jig bite is hot during that moon phase. I've caught bass that have just spit the things up all over my boat.

    Great video - I starting fishing a couple year ago, and these topics have covered several topics that I have heard a lot of "personal" stories. Now keep in mind, these stories are very real, cam with great credentials and are very logical.
    At the same time, universities create degrees in "environmental sciences" and such...
    Well holy-crap! You've helped me connect the dots with several of these topics, which are based on Science..which is what I've build my professional life around...go figure. Thanks.

    Great video. Thanks for taking the time/effort. It is appreciated. Brings back a memory of my teen years. A friend's dad was an old fisherman (southern mountain-folk stock, depression era) who'd never sport fished in his entire life...fish were strictly food for hungry bellies. My buddy would always ask his dad if it was a good day. he'd step outside and eyeball the sky. The forecast was almost always dead on. :)
