Your patience after a blow up before setting the hook is quite amazing! I need that skill. I usually get so excited, immediate set hook and immediately do not catch the bass........
They hit it then you gotta give it time to make sure they’re pulling on it set the hook as hard as you want
Don’t get excited. Something I’ve found that works is great every fish like it’s a dink

I’ve fished paddle frogs in every body of water with every retrieve I could think off. I’ve fished em weightless, I’ve Texas rigged em, I’ve Carolina rigged em, hell I’ve even used em as trailers. I have never once in my life gotten so much as a nibble. Fishing near me is one of the worst areas in the US and it’s only getting worse. Im so jealous of you fellas who live in places that actually have fish and aren’t over pressured

@@swazzole8320 I hear ya ,, I use a 9mm Taurus G3 with snake shot on the Cotton mouths lol 🤣,, Froggy better get out the way lol 🤣😂,,, I use a 22 Mag, with 9 inch barrel for them too sometimes ,it's awesome and Actually has a little e range that the 9mm snake Shot,, but About 5 feet or so Away and Mr Cotton Mouth is Toast With The 9 ,, I Do not like SNAKES,,, Especially Since I got bitten by A Dang Copperhead,, spent about 10 days in the hospital on that one ,, he unloaded his venom in the calf of my leg , 14 minutes I couldn't walk on it , thankfully I was close to hospital ,I called ahead and they were Waiting For me , I'm A Retired LE Conservation Officer , So I ID'd The Snake , Lotsa Anti Venom , antibiotics , Benedryl ,Bag after Bag Of Fluids To Flush The Venom Thru The Kidney's,, liver ,,etc,,, It's No Fun At All ,
my Favorite Color For Plastics Is Junebug , Junebug With Red Metal Flakes ,I have not seen this 🐸 Frog InA Junebug Color,,, A Friend Of Mine Is Using A Brown Mustard Color Tubes ,One Called A Root beer Color which is close to the Mustard Color Just Came Out ,If I had to bet money ,this color would be a Killer For this frog , it would Resemble Some Of Our Swamp Frogs Colors Down Here , The Junebug Color Sinkos ,or a 8 inch Crazy Rigged Worm Has Been Smashing Them Here For The last couple weeks now , Seems to be the ticket , I was doing ok on them texas Rigged but my son rigged crazy worm style and I couldn't keep up , To much Water in The Places I Throw my frogs ,I can't even get to the dang Ramp the waters so High , but it's falling out now ,so by maybe a week or so from now things will get good ,, If ya see the Junebug Color Frogs I'd Sure like to Know where they're found , I'd like to give em a Try, keep that mustard in mind too it's working good for my friend , 30+ bass one day on that Mustard/Rootbeer Color Tubes Can't Complain about that , Anyhoo , keep it Reelin 🦈🎣👀

I love how people go into the woods and feel so high and mighty, that they can just kill whatever they want. to bad the snake cant carry a gun, and blow you away for coming into his house.
Every video I watch that he puts up makes me want to go frog fish right away.
When ever I have a snake grab my lure I pull it to the boat and it drops the lure from getting scared

If there's one thing I love, it's tricking fish into biting something on the end of a string so I can impail them on a metal hook to take a photo of them to put them back in the water. I could do that as the centerpoint to my life for 50 years.
Loved the “frogged a snake”. Have you ever frogged a frog? I’ve got a great pic of a huge toad so big and so aggressive that he attacked and swallowed my frog past the hooks and I had to real him in to unhook him.
My son frogged a frog in the parking lot. we were walking to the truck in the dark after frog fishing and a real frog just jumped up and ate the hell out of a hollow body frog. I had to do surgery on it with my pliers to get the hook out.
@@sloopjohnb.24 - nice, I caught 2 big bullfrogs last week at the local pond on a hollow body Googan popping frog in bullfrog color lol then I see that guys do this all the time on YT. Most people say the real frogs don’t want to actually eat the frog per say, but it’s more of a dominance or mating thing. Not sure

That warms my blood. I use a Ribbit frog with a 5 ought Gamakatsu wide gap hook. They can’t resist the sound and bubble trail especially in grass and Lilly pads. 🎣

I caught a frog once, on a top water FROG! The frog was just bear hugging it and wouldn't let go. He held on until I started lifting him up on the shore. He just let go at hauled ass back down to the depths. That was pre cell phone cameras though. No proof.

My son's friend caught a Barn Owl 2 days ago on a topwater lure. The owl had swopped down and grabbed the lure while it was being retrieved. Luckily he had removed the barbs before he had started fishing. The owl was calm and seemed unharmed after the hooks were removed. I have pictures.
I love my Buzz Frog action on the river smallmouth I fish for. Single hook works better for smallies. Lately though, it has taken a back seat to the Whopper Plopper. God I love topwater!
