If money was no object I’d choose the GMC Sierra because although the Silverado is very nice the GMC is better looking. I like the mid-gate and 4 wheel steer that these trucks have. However the only truck I’ve considered is the lightening as I won’t tow so I don’t really need the huge battery. I like the functional interior of the XRT and it’s at the top range of what I could afford with discounts that can be had. A bonus would be that all the extras that fit a regular F150 would fit the lightening. Cynthia is a natural, she did great. I hope you get your truck.
Lighting with the standard battery is perfect for us actually and here where we live it qualifies for rebates as well. There’s quite a few in my neighborhood
My wife and I took a vacation from near Corpus Christi Tx to Northern Colorado a few months ago. In my GMC 1500 pick up. We drove over 900 miles the FIRST DAY. Even with this truck that would not be possible. BTW, we didn’t see a single charge station along the way. But then we weren’t looking for them either.
@TexasScout I own a SEV RST - Why would you bring up a GMC 1500 road trip over 900 miles the first day as anything special? My wife and I do vacation road trips like that as well. Why would you even know what a charge station looks like? BTW they are right along the same route as your diesel, I am likely right in front of you in line at the soda pop dispenser. Don't knock it Tex - I like my Silverado pick up.
@ right, one hour for lunch in five minutes for a bathroom break, that’s gonna give you another 450 miles right? Quit gaslighting people. Like I said, I didn’t see a single charging station in that 900 miles much less a high-speed station. The only place electric cars are reasonable and useful is in a metro area. They’ll never be ready for primetime in rural areas.
I am always happy to see your reviews and I am really glad that finally there is a Chevy offering for an EV truck. However, I cannot get excited over a truck; my neighborhood's driveways have a pickup sitting in 8 out of 10 driveways, often empty with an immaculate bed, big wheels, a well polished hitch; but with no trailer or camper, a garage that is too small for the truck or too full of stuff to store it. I realize that a truck is an ultimate goal, an ultimate toy, and an ultimate expense to be paid off; but somehow I just cannot get excited over something that is awkward to park, has a compromised view over the hood, and has a mostly useless open bed for things to get wet or stolen, unless I get a lockable cover.
@@ronkemperful you nailed it and not incorrect at all. The modern truck has become the next luxury category but there’s some benefits especially as an EV in that they have lockable sealed storage up front and are more economical in terms of fuel. They offer more second row room than almost any vehicle and for many families, can be the only vehicle since they wear many hats however, if you’re driving in the city, it may be cumbersome however the camera systems and the 4 wheel steering are defiantly welcome and make a big difference. I think the main goal one day is to tow our own horses which will require a truck for sure.
@ Very true. My good old Subaru Forester has satisfied my needs for my particular case, and in the distant past I’ve rented U-Hauls for moving, a lot cheaper for me then spending money on something that I don’t usually need. My sister uses the truck like features of her pickup, maybe once or twice a year for IKEA furniture or bags of dog food, but her Santa Fe could have been used too, but since she has 130,000 miles on her truck, she’d rather bang up that vehicle.
I was sitting on the fence on buying a Silerado RST EV, waiting for the GMC Serria Denali EV, but after seeing the reveiws with the quieter and superior interior, better display I am sold on the GMC Denali EV, you need to reveiw the 2025 model.

@@BananaChipzzz 😆
@@BananaChipzzz I promise I’ll try to get her to talk more next time. Not her comfort zone and kinda forced her this time 😆

900 miles without filling up?
@ I spent all of five minutes at the gas station driving that 900 miles, that was the whole point of my post. Obviously, you didn’t figure it out.
@@TexasScout you could've charge while you was eating and taking a restroom break. I am pretty sure it doesn't take 5 min to do that.

And you don't need a truck obviously, needing a need to haul stuff is pretty handy even if you are not using it everyday

Great truck but you need to review the Cybertruck if you're looking for an electric pickup.
@@Colin-pj2zv I definitely will once I get my hands on one. They went out there in Western Canada that wants to loan me one?
2024 also gets sidewinder mode in 2025! over the air update!
Price on Chevy site says 96k.. wtf

Brian, get a Cybertruck ✌️😎
The Ford F-150 EV don't count. It's a modified f-150 with a battery pack... Da.. Not clean sheet as GM EV's..
$90k for RST :\
@foam27 ~$50k 2WT as US tax credits go. Basic but that is the ball park for any 2025 Silverado WT trim.
What a joke
