You should’ve reviewed the $75,000, 408 mile range LT version which people are getting for below $60,000 right now. For all the naysayers complaining about $100,000 truck, if you step down one notch in range and trim and get the 408 mi. range LT version people are getting those for less than $59k after they apply the $7500 federal tax credit, which the vast majority of American Americans qualify for. Pro tip: if you don’t qualify for the $7500 federal tax credit because you make too much money there’s a loophole: If you lease the vehicle and then there’s no income restriction on the tax credit! :)
Yeah, I actually traded in my Cybertruck for this vehicle. Loving it so far! I will say the drive by wire system and tech the Cybertruck had was unreal! I wish more manufacturers would move to drive by wire as well as the 48v architecture.

The electric truck will save the average owner about $1,400-$2,500 PER YEAR in fuel and maintenance compared to the gas truck (based 12k - 20k miles of driving). You wake up every morning with a full tank. For most people EV is now the way to go, they just don't realize it yet. The only people who I wouldn't recommend an electric truck to are people who are towing big trailers very long distances on a regular basis and those who can't install 240v charing at their residence. Trying to get into many fast charging stall with a large trailer would be too inconvenient for most. Now that will improve in a few years, but we're not quite there yet unfortunately.

The only way greedy American automakers will make affordable cars is to allow China to bring in their vehicles. This would not only create more competition and selection but force American automakers to lower their prices to match lower ones from China. This is the only way more Americans will be able to afford these expensive new cars we see today. They seem to be disconnected with reality! Most people cannot or will not be willing to pay six figures for a vehicle when their salaries are still stuck in the five digits. I like this Silverado, looks great and has some good specs. The deal breaker for me is of course the price. Can't see myself spending $100k for a Chevy only to lose half its value as fast or faster than most German vehicles. Just look at Tesla. Chevy’s infotainment is a bit less distracting with it being horizontally oriented. GMC’s unit forces you to look down too much taking your eyes way off the road.
What they need is a $65,000 EV truck with 300 mile range and 0-60 in 6.5 seconds. Because that is basically what a gas truck does. EV's are too expensive because companies keep wanting to put 800 horsepower in them to do 0-60 in 3 seconds, when what really sells in the market are 190 hp small crossovers and 325 hp full size pickups.
The problem is range is the biggest barrier to widespread E.V. adoption. Given that it's an E.V. there's little range or cost penalty to offer a high horsepower E.V. Electric motors are easy to increase the horsepower. Range is very difficult to increase, I agree that if the physics of batteries are ever sorted with twice the range, a lower horsepower truck for 65K would sell well.
The range too but a massive battery pack this size takes twice as long to charge at home and sitting in charging stations which are already a pita in any ev... and this will cost double those to charge

this is widely known, EV route planning isnt needed for those models. The Google built in does all the charge stop planning for you. Can't do that with carplay.
And it should be regulated to acceleration levels of present ice trucks. 3 to 5 ton objects accelerating to 60mph in 4 seconds or 3.5 sec is irresponsible. And i like fast performance cars. But they can stop because they weigh much less than half these monsters

I judge all of GM’s electric vehicles based on my 2024 Cadillac LYRIQ. While I could possibly see myself in a Chevy Silverado EV, there are a number of things that I find disappointing. It has heated/ventilated seats, but they don’t have a massage function. Even the Ford F150 lightning offers that especially at this price tag. They have a glass panel sunroof that’s fixed, but there is no power sunshade. My car has a power sunshade. Was it really necessary to take out the start/ stop button? I’m glad to see that this car has super cruise. Super cruise should be included on all GM cars. Even if they only give you a short trial. They try to charge you $25 per month after the trial period ends. All that said: this thing is really expensive. It’s way more expensive I think than an equivalent gas powered Silverado.
GM has the best battery system in the EV truck segment. Very fast charging speeds and exceptional range. Both are necessary in order for EV trucks to be viable alternatives to ICE trucks. My only complaint is they should have put the charging plug near the front to accommodate towing and recharging, as many fast chargers are not pull through designs. While I’m not normally a big fan of GM products I would like to give credit where credit is due. They’ve built the best all around EV pickup for people who want to use a truck like a truck. Well done GM!
All good, except Ev charging stations never reach their advertised speeds. 350kw stations pushing maybe 40kw with waiting lines gets old. Not to mention the size of this pack which would double the charging time and cost at home on a 50a 12kw circuit. 15 or 16 hours?
Impressive but out of reach for most. Similar to the R1T or Cybertruck, the people who buy these are rich young tech bros who want a little extra utility than an suv. “Real” truck guys arent going to trade in their $100k HD Denali diesels for one of these.

For sure! The Chevrolet Silverado is known for its durability and performance. It’s got a strong towing capacity, and it’s super versatile for both work and play. Plus, the interior is pretty comfy with lots of tech features.
The complaining about no carplay is getting old, everyone knows about this at this stage- mention it once and move on. I think it was mentioned 3 times in this review and if you are going to keep talking about it tell the entire story. You can use Siri and listen to apple music via BT connection in these vehicles- the interface isn't the same as carplay but you can access your apple music and this fact should be stated. YOu have yet to show viewers anything in detail about how the infotainment system works, including the integrated route planning and charge stop logic that you cannot get using carplay. You show the native system for 10 seconds and then spend the rest of the time worrying about carplay. Almost every review of any GM vehicle on here is the same thing, complaints about fit and finish and interior materials. It used to be complaints about small screens but now that you can't say that anymore you have shifted to criticizing them for build quality and/or no carplay.
And the market, EVgo. EA, etc don't perform as advertised. 350kw stations pushing maybe 40 ish kw is disappointing. Charge at home but with a pack this large, better have a day to let it sit
Tires primarily wear out prematurely because EV's have great acceleration and new owners have trouble NOT regularly pushing the pedal to the metal.... that is until they have to replace tires early. I just heard from a guy in a Rivian group who is replacing his first set at 40,000 miles. If you drive an EV normally you'll get good mileage out of your tires. Furthermore, the electric truck will save most people $1,200-$2,000 annually over an ICE truck because filling up on electricity at home at reduced cost night time electricity is incredibly cheap (practically free in many places) and the EV annual maintenance requirements are nearly zero.

I watch Sofyan’s reviews bc he is just as bougie as I am about materials/ quality of finishes. There is no way in hell I’d pay this much money for such an awful interior AND the inconvenience of not having Apple CarPlay. My husband has a Lightning (which I despise but he adores) and I’m counting the days til it finally dies so we can go back to a regular ICE truck. EV ownership isn’t worth it. We don’t buy gas but literally everything else costs wayyyyy more than when we had an ICE F150.
What a deceitful and lazy review! For a reviewer of a channel that is about reviews, this is a disgrace. This is a 2024 model, not 2025. At 26:33 he even complains that this truck is showing 440 miles of range instead of 460 miles but since he is in a 2024 model, that range is correct! Silverado badge was introduced in 1999, not 2019. The reviewer didn't even know that this does have crabwalk (Sidewinder) in 2025 model. The vehicle stats at 2:30 are wrong, 12,500 towing only applies to the LT model which doesn't have the 460 mile range. Those are not "12 volt" power plugs in the bed, the are 110 volt 20 amp plugs. He complains about 1 pedal driving being too strong because he doesn't know how to operate 1 pedal driving. All this but the worst is being deceitful about the vehicle he is reviewing not being the one he is claiming to be reviewing. This is not a channel to watch if you want to learn (facts) about a vehicle.

@@LafemmebearMusic Range. This is my 3rd EV, I previously had 2 Teslas, including the Cybertruck. I want the range. I will never go back to ICE vehicles after owning EVs for so many years.

I judge all of GM’s electric vehicles based on my 2024 Cadillac LYRIQ.
While I could possibly see myself in a Chevy Silverado EV, there are a number of things that I find disappointing.
It has heated/ventilated seats, but they don’t have a massage function. Even the Ford F150 lightning offers that especially at this price tag.
They have a glass panel sunroof that’s fixed, but there is no power sunshade. My car has a power sunshade.
Was it really necessary to take out the start/ stop button?
I’m glad to see that this car has super cruise. Super cruise should be included on all GM cars. Even if they only give you a short trial. They try to charge you $25 per month after the trial period ends.
All that said: this thing is really expensive. It’s way more expensive I think than an equivalent gas powered Silverado.
unfortunately, most EVs lack a sunshade, its stupidity lauched by Tesla and copied by others.

GM has the best battery system in the EV truck segment. Very fast charging speeds and exceptional range. Both are necessary in order for EV trucks to be viable alternatives to ICE trucks. My only complaint is they should have put the charging plug near the front to accommodate towing and recharging, as many fast chargers are not pull through designs. While I’m not normally a big fan of GM products I would like to give credit where credit is due. They’ve built the best all around EV pickup for people who want to use a truck like a truck. Well done GM!
All good, except Ev charging stations never reach their advertised speeds. 350kw stations pushing maybe 40kw with waiting lines gets old. Not to mention the size of this pack which would double the charging time and cost at home on a 50a 12kw circuit. 15 or 16 hours?

No NACS charge port?! Physical remote/key?! Other than those quibbles and its incredible weight it is an interesting vehicle.
Impressive but out of reach for most. Similar to the R1T or Cybertruck, the people who buy these are rich young tech bros who want a little extra utility than an suv. “Real” truck guys arent going to trade in their $100k HD Denali diesels for one of these.

For sure! The Chevrolet Silverado is known for its durability and performance. It’s got a strong towing capacity, and it’s super versatile for both work and play. Plus, the interior is pretty comfy with lots of tech features.

The complaining about no carplay is getting old, everyone knows about this at this stage- mention it once and move on. I think it was mentioned 3 times in this review and if you are going to keep talking about it tell the entire story. You can use Siri and listen to apple music via BT connection in these vehicles- the interface isn't the same as carplay but you can access your apple music and this fact should be stated. YOu have yet to show viewers anything in detail about how the infotainment system works, including the integrated route planning and charge stop logic that you cannot get using carplay. You show the native system for 10 seconds and then spend the rest of the time worrying about carplay. Almost every review of any GM vehicle on here is the same thing, complaints about fit and finish and interior materials. It used to be complaints about small screens but now that you can't say that anymore you have shifted to criticizing them for build quality and/or no carplay.
It is a nice-looking ruck, but over 97K GM can keep it. Within a few years, this thing is probably worth 40K or less.

They fail to mention the lifespan of the tires are much less and the costs are much more.
Tires primarily wear out prematurely because EV's have great acceleration and new owners have trouble NOT regularly pushing the pedal to the metal.... that is until they have to replace tires early. I just heard from a guy in a Rivian group who is replacing his first set at 40,000 miles. If you drive an EV normally you'll get good mileage out of your tires. Furthermore, the electric truck will save most people $1,200-$2,000 annually over an ICE truck because filling up on electricity at home at reduced cost night time electricity is incredibly cheap (practically free in many places) and the EV annual maintenance requirements are nearly zero.
@@Rainy_Day12234 we are a 2 EV household and both cars still have their original tires after 40k miles. Like the other person said it’s really because of the acceleration. If you have self control your tires will last. It’s just so darn fun zooming every green light though

all I ever hear about EVs is their 0-60 times which for most folks I don't believe is their top priority .... try stuffing 8800 lbs into a corner at a high rate of speed for fun ..or headfirst into an oncoming 3000lb car at 60mph ... not sure these heavyweight vehicles are safe for those around them?? or for the roads which need to support these portly trucks ... I watch Sofyan’s reviews bc he is just as bougie as I am about materials/ quality of finishes. There is no way in hell I’d pay this much money for such an awful interior AND the inconvenience of not having Apple CarPlay. My husband has a Lightning (which I despise but he adores) and I’m counting the days til it finally dies so we can go back to a regular ICE truck. EV ownership isn’t worth it. We don’t buy gas but literally everything else costs wayyyyy more than when we had an ICE F150.

What a deceitful and lazy review! For a reviewer of a channel that is about reviews, this is a disgrace. This is a 2024 model, not 2025. At 26:33 he even complains that this truck is showing 440 miles of range instead of 460 miles but since he is in a 2024 model, that range is correct! Silverado badge was introduced in 1999, not 2019. The reviewer didn't even know that this does have crabwalk (Sidewinder) in 2025 model. The vehicle stats at 2:30 are wrong, 12,500 towing only applies to the LT model which doesn't have the 460 mile range. Those are not "12 volt" power plugs in the bed, the are 110 volt 20 amp plugs. He complains about 1 pedal driving being too strong because he doesn't know how to operate 1 pedal driving. All this but the worst is being deceitful about the vehicle he is reviewing not being the one he is claiming to be reviewing. This is not a channel to watch if you want to learn (facts) about a vehicle.
