Darkslide is still one of my favorite tricks, ever since the old school Tony Hawk games... looks awesome, and the name is undeniably perfect.
Same here... i’d always skate Geoff Rowley since that was his special. Loved that trick!
I remember when they added flat ground tricks in THPS4, It literally changed the entire way the game was played. I would sit there for hours and memorize all of Mullen's amazing creations.
There is actually nothing more satisfying than watching Jonny Giger learn a new trick.
Totally,I like how he try's it,figures out kinda where he needs to be,then what he has to do and just...bam! And he does it soo good. He is a true master of his craft and then he has a great positive attitude to boot 😎 love his videos.

I don't even skate anymore but I find myself lost in your videos. I love your optimism and its great to get to see the process from start to finish. I wish we had, had this amount of encouragement and explanation available to use when we were younger.
Jonny is my favorite. A lot of the skateboarder youtubers spend too much time doing like... personal blogging while skating. I feel like when I watch Jonny he's talking about the history of the trick. How he prepares for the trick. He shows his bails. I just feel like when I watch a Jonny video I'm going to get 90% skating rather than some of the others that have a bloated length or are talking about nonsense or drama.

Alot of people back in the day(90's)and still nowadays. Don't realize that, that first trick of the video 0:13-14, is a crooked to pressure flip. Not a crook to varial heel haha.
You have to watch Rodneys footage(his older stuff in particular, late 90's-early 2000's) super closely to see when he's actually doing pressure flips. He does alot of em haha, Pressure-Lazer flips, Pressure-Hardflips etc.

I liked the fact that someone else was skating the ledge in the video as well, it breaks up the attempts and makes the video much better imo. Nice job!
That and the double flip dark tail slide are my two favorite variations of this trick that I've seen Rodney do.

Hey man, I just recently discovered your channel, I'm an admirer of Rodney, he's been an inspiration after I discovered his style... though I don't sk8 anymore, the best I did was an ollie 😅I'm still fascinated by sk8 tricks. I just wanted to say that you kinda motivated me in playing the guitar 😁(that's my current hobby), and as we can slow down something on guitar, you probably can't so that's even harder I guess. The crazy thing about RM version is the balance of the board on the ledge letting the smallest amount of surface touch which lets him slide longer and faster

Noticed something when watching the Mullen clip at 0:46 at 0.25x speed. It looks like almost the entirety of varial heelflip was initiated by Rodney's front foot. If you watch closely, after he pops and his right foot recoils for the heelflip flick, when he actually GOES to flick... He doesn't hit anything at all, lol...
He just straight ninja kicks the air and the board, itself possibly fearing the unholy wrath Rodney himself might unleash upon the board for besmirching the skill of godfather kickflip, just went exactly where he needed it to go.
