I'm sorry but so much of her advice was just terribly wrong and makes no sense to most people that have suffered with sibo. Its obvious she's never truly been sick herself. I loved your talks on methane though, especially the ones with Dr. Siebecker, who is indeed knowledgeable. Thanks for sharing. You ask great questions.

Wonderful interview! You guys are teaching me to look at my gut health in an entirely new light! ❤️. I love what you guys say about the timing of your food and it’s correlation to the migrating motor complex, and psychology- as someone who once struggled with an eating disorders myself, I feel like this lifted a weight off of me. I go absolutely nuts when I fast and the psychological effects on me are HORRIBLE. You guys truly get it. Slowly, I am cracking the nut to getting to the root of my SIBO and digestive issues.

Oh boy - this doctor comes off as extremely arrogant and out of touch. Her answers are unclear and ramble on. I am someone who understands medical lingo and jargon extremely well, and I feel like none of what she said really made sense in terms of the question asked. I cringed when she said patients should not be afraid of bloating - as if it's some vanity thing. I do not give a crap how I look when I bloat, I am in PAIN when I bloat. That's what I'm scared of, and many SIBO patients are the same. It's unfortunate that this episode was wasted, we need more videos on methane SIBO but if this is the content we get then let's just hold out until we have someone that is able to convey information in a meaningful way, like Dr. Siebecker.

I’m sorry you’re not happy with the episode. Putting together a podcast that is completely free for you to listen to takes a lot of effort. You may prefer to listen to my more recent interview with Dr Allison Siebecker on methane SIBO. ua-cam.com/video/BJSSRW2siv0/v-deo.html

I love your interviews- thank you. I listened to this in-full, and I’m really having difficulty summarizing or thinking of the takeaway message(s) that Dr. Keller communicated. Perhaps it was her [unjustified] arrogance that was too distracting. Or, maybe she really didn’t say anything useful.

I agree - came off very arrogant sounding and the answers were really not clear at all.

Where do I find the Alison supplement? I loved this interview!!! what a breath of fresh air to hear this Doctor be real!! I gave up on following specific diets as I found as I was “trying so hard” to manage and control the gas, bloating and uncomfortable feeling that it was causing too much stress!! Within me and around me. I eat what I want and deal with the response appropriately

Allicin is the active ingredient. Brands like Allimax and Allimed contain it.

Wow. Does methane sibo cause those afflicted to become mean and disrespectful? She is sharing her experiences and giving her opinions. You can agree or disagree. You can ask questions to clarify but I don’t see the benefit in attacking. If you don’t enjoy her free presentation, simply don’t listen.

Everyone once in a while you run into to someone who *sounds* intelligent, but manages to convey very little meaningful information. Dr. Keller has difficulty stringing together and conveying her thoughts in a cohesive sentence for efficient messaging to a laymen audience. She's all over the place in her explanations and takes too long to demonstrate a point. Makes her difficult to listen to and I am not about to rewind again and again to try to glean these points. It becomes a waste of time.

SIBO can affect the nervous system because it affects B12 absorbtion ( your bacteria steal it)

All I know is I've been religiously following the low FODMAP diet, and I feel worse than when I was eating carbs. I have more fatigue and more bloating on low FODMAP foods. Nice to hear her say if you have a cheat day, it's not the end of the world. So many others say if you cheat on a meal, you have to start all over again.

I have methane sibo but have normal bm's. I have horrible painful bloating that prevents me from feeling hungry. I also have extreme fatigue and dizziness 24/7 from it. My stool test showed high siGa, and very high beta-gluconidase and klebsiella. I am currently taking oregano and allicin. Not sure what to do

If thyme and fennel tea makes your stomach hurt, should herbal antibiotics still be tried? Or should classical antibiotic therapy be preferred?
Should we start magnesium supplementation when the breath test is negative, or should we continue with the elimination diet and antibiotic therapy at the same time?
Finally, how many months should digestive enzymes and L glutamine be used?

I have to emphatically disagree with her point about high fat feeding a methane dominant s i b o
Without the gaps diet I would be dead literally saved my life
The evidence she presents was weak and not fitting for a doctor to speculate with so little science supporting her theory

I think she means that high fat causes methane sibo in ppl that don’t have it, but once you have Sibo you have to maybe use a similar diet bc of the Sibo, it’s a little ironic.
