It's been a while since I last listened to any In Flames. Their latest albums have been a bit of a hit and miss for me. But this one's a classic, can't do much wrong with the oldschool IF stuff!
Such a great song! First back in the day Iron Maiden accomplished releasing The Number of the Beast onto the radio. Then decades later In Flames accomplished getting this song Episode 666 onto the radio airwaves as well. \m/
This is the song that got me into In Flames, it was on the Death is Just the Beginning IV compilation. I want to say that THAT version of the song was a little heavier than what was on the album? I seem to remember being disappointed with this song when I listened to the album version.

I don't get the '"big hype" for this song. Don't mistake me : Whoracle is a lock in my top 5 albums of that genre. Still, Episode 666 wouldn't be in my top 5 songs from this album. Great song, but it's "Whoracle sub par", in my opinion. Keep 'em coming ! Good reaction :)
Agreed. Definitely way superior tracks in Whoracle than this one. And this one is really good, so it speaks volumes on the album quality. All that said, there is a version of this on UA-cam where a fella has extended a certain part of the song for a few seconds, and imo it makes it evern better! Check it out if you wish.

Was at the Emerson in Indy years ago and the ceiling on the place started falling in when they played this song.
