The rancher father who you said was "going for an oscar" was a fairly well known character actor in the 50s through the 70s, Neville Brand. He was a highly decorated WW2 vet and was in 136 TV shows and films, usually westerns, film noir and war movies. He often played a very menacing heavy but he was the lead in the tv western series Laredo which lasted two seasons in the mid 1960s. The quality of cast that was put together for the film is quite impressive, most are past their prime but there are quite a few well known actors here.
I was looking forward to the explanation of a Fax Machine too :( Then the explanation of what a POTS is, and then the sound of Cecil crying in a corner hugging his collection of VHS tapes.
You sounded like Patrick Bateman, when you were describing what a darkroom was. *"Digital film garners a lot of praise, but I much prefer the physical medium of photography. I've even built my own darkroom, with a 12 watt red light, as to avoid overexposure. Sabrina, don't just look at it. Eat it."* I'll never get tired of watching your videos!
Every time I watch a Jan Michael Vincent movie, I really, really want him to make it through his scenes. I just felt so bad for the guy. Such a great presence and actor in Hooper, Mechanic, Airwolf, Defiance etc...
The Haywatch cut scene deserves an award... I thought spit takes were only in the movies, but my beer soaked phone and this video have proved me wrong...
Some people stay in the barn house Afraid to step into the fight And some people need to help some cattle Being slaughtered by a loonies light knife Don’t you worry Cause I’m the chosen one. Caused I’m always sauced I’ll break down the door with my hog
I very vaguely remember seeing this back when I was a kid but I could never recall the title. My dad took me to the cinema a lot when I was young, got to see Battle Beyond The Stars, Hangar 18 and a lot of other amazing old b-pictures, and this movie is one of those memories - I'd forgotten more or less everything about it except the kids encountering the UFO in the street and the prospector and his energy blade... the things that stick with you 30+ years after the fact. I'll have to try and track down a copy now - thanks dude!
Pretty much the same story, but I saw it on TV in the late 90's/early 2000's and... I had nearly everything about prospector vividly stuck in my head down to specific shots.
I've never thought of these videos as mocking the movies in each episode but I can see how some people could. If they can't laugh then follow Hootie's advice, let em cry
This channel is one of the influences that made me interested in these kind of movies! And also introduced me to The Thing, which immediately became one of my favourite movies
I’ve just discovered this channel after having surgery and I’ve been watching them nonstop the past couple days! Just wanted to say thanks for making them, they’re all excellent and this time in bed in flying by!
I swear every damn time I see Jan Michael Vincent I get so fucking sad. The guy had so much promise, but he just couldn't break free of his addictions and demons.
The red room bit (follow by the fax machine joke) slayed me. Awesome! This movie just seems so... what's the word? Distracting? Like, it tries to deliver a story but gets sidetracked with all these odd sidestories and wacky dialogs. It has a charm to it though.
Some of these awesome movies are on Amazon Prime. Inspired by this channel, I watched ‘Parents’ last night. It has Randy Quaid and it’s good and bad. Definitely recommend it
I can't emphasize enough how grateful I am for that episode, because I was looking for that movie for 20 years without knowing its very generic title! Now I can finally rewatch it! It's an unusual blend of sci-fi and slasher which was just stuck with me for all these years, with no answers. It's shocking how vividly I remember this movie considering I was like 7 years old when I saw it: an ID request I posted on one forum had like 80% of the plot right down to a description of the first human casualty. I was actually impressed by the movie enough that I tried my best to do a replica of that lightsaber-style knife out of some random acrylic thing. The movie was and is from perfect, but it has enough charm and creativity to stand out. I think I'll also actually try donuts and beer. I did weirder.
@@GoodBadFlicks As well as bringing to attention the movies we never knew we wanted to see! Guy Magar's Retribution (of which I was not even aware before your Exploring episode) totally saved my Halloween last year and will become a marathon staple onwards!

Thanks for watching! I'm going to put a video together sometime in the not too distant future talking about my love of these weird movies and how I've found them. Its a combo of creature double feature, kung fu theater, Saturday Night Dead, and the back parts of the video store.
Again you introduce me to another classic movie! *That I had no idea was even out there this is one of the main reasons why I subscribe to you. The other reason is because I like how you break the movie down into bite size pieces and regurgitated it down our throat's.
Have you ever considered doing a goodbadflicks on the 1999 movie “King Cobra”. It’s a very enjoyable film that uses a practical animatronic for the cobra and has Pat Morita as a herpetologist snake expert (who messes up most of the information on snakes) and Erik Estrada as a really gay stereotype. The movie also messed up most of its facts about snakes, and if you ever do a review on it, I’d gladly help you point out all the inaccuracies. For a person studying to be a herpetologist, it’s hilarious.
And to think, in High School I had a photography class where I worked in a darkroom to develop my own picture on black-and-white film with my grandfather's old black-and-white camera (a requirement for the class, bring your own black-and-white camera, my grandfather had given me his just a few years earlier). Actually turned out very helpful when, at a museum exhibit with my folks, the film in our camera broke and used my dad's jacket to cover the camera and film, stuck my arms through the sleeves, and fixed it. In the class, we had what was basically a zip-up bag with sleeves, or a jacket without neck and waist holes, so you could unload your exposed footage without exposing it to light and get it ready to develop.
Isn't anyone going to talk about how awesome the AMC Eagle station wagon cop car at timecode 11:45 is? I've owned two over the years (and a Levi denim Gremlin), and those cars are bullet-proof and could go offroading places some trucks couldn't. Keep up the good work, sir. Love your videos!
