    While I was going to film school I met a guy that happened to be in the film industry. What can I remember was him telling me that he directed one of Chuck Norris early films, and how he had to capture his "intensity," when in fact, it was due to (Chuck Norris) not knowing how to act. It was hilarious how he told the story, I wouldn't do it any justice if I try to tell it.
    I think about it now (after so many years) I should have asked him for a job, even a nonpaying internship position. The worst thing that coulda happened was him saying, No. It woulda made things a bit less difficult when I graduated.

    This film was one that took the typical slasher horror tropes and threw them out the window simply by having someone directly take on the monster one on one, and in my opinion is a breath of fresh air no one has bothered to replicate. I don't know about the remake listed here which probably no one saw, but I think it might help if people tried thinking differently with these movies.

    Wow. That looks like a crazy, interesting film. For some reason, in my opinion, films that have a variety of genres interwoven together tend to be the best, though not always, because it shows that they have a variety of layers to the stories. They’re called cross genre films. And this film would fit right in due to its combination of action, horror, comedy, and sci-fi.

    • @PictureProductStudio

    • @PictureProductStudio
      @PictureProductStudio 5 років тому +1

      Now that you say it, premise is really more down Cannon Films alley. They were just thriving on combining unlikely production and plot components. Even their Ten Little Indians based on And Then There Were None from 1989 for some reason changes setting from an isolated island in UK to a safari in Africa... Which actually makes for an interesting diversion.

      Sadly the answer is no to both questions. We shot three "scenes". 1. My friend dressed as Chuck Norris' character working out at home, and an FBI agent comes to ask him about the events. 2. The reveal of my youngest brother as the fat deputy. . . Chuck still had his body for whatever reason. 3. Same friend as the killer in a skin tight child's silver space/alien costume, emerging from the creek. We kind of lost interest, and never even got close to figuring out how my friend would fight himself on screen. Editing back then consisted of in camera, or dubbing with two VCRs.

    Another awesome review Cecil! I think it's hilarious that the screenwriter claimed to hate horror, but then envisions the film as Frankenstein vs Chuck Norris!! LMFAO, last time I checked, Frankenstein's monster was a horror movie monster! This movie was definitely a mixture of a slasher film & martial arts film. An oddball mixture that hasn't really been done much. Can't wait for In Search of Darkness, this month!

    Alright. I’m 5:47 into this review, and I think I remember this movie being on tv when I was a kid. It ends at night with Chuck Norris kicking the guy into a well, right? And maybe the last shot is a freeze frame of the guy popping out? And there was a lot of heart beat sounds on the audio. Let’s see if I’m right.
    Edit - 12:10 - Yep, this is that one!

    1:14 Bad movie really shoots load early, and its best scene doesn't even feature Chuckles. You can almost hear the dance instructor: "Tap and spin and uhhhhh! Tap and spin and uhhhhh!"
    9:30 Second best moment (unfortunately not shown): Halman's "corpse" looks around as the door swings back. Good job, Phil!

    I was thinking "the tall scientist looks like William Finley" and according to IMDB *it is!*
    Finley was the Phantom Of Paradise.
