Love the regal T type and the regal turbo T thosee cars looked like your grandmothers reagal minus the hood scoop its one hell of a sleeper at the drag strip
This version of the Buick Regal T-Type was a car that was underrated and under appreciated. This car (and the Grand National) would run a “Fox body” Mustang off the street, and Ford Mustang owners hate this car with a passion. Even though the Mustang has a V8, the Buick’s 3.8L V6 has a turbocharger, and when the turbo gets spooled up, this car will fly down the street..
The 87 Limiteds were the second least production numbers for turbo regals-1034 to be exact. Yup, I have one. A mid 10 sec player but mine has been modified with a console and not a full bench seat with a real GNX dash. Dark metallic blue w blackout package and t-tops, gn spoiler. Totally stock appearing. Precision 62-66 turbo and alum heads and all the goodies. A dream to drive.
I also have a blue one. I have had it for about 27 years. I had a GN at the time and was about to spend a bunch of money on it when a friend told me he knew of a low mile one owner Turbo T. The guy had special ordered it, and it had 20,000 miles on it, and was not advertised as for sale, but he agreed to sell it at a set non negotiable price. I bought it it and it now has 30,000 miles, original everything but a few bolt ons. At the time, I was just crazy about turbo regals, and didn't care if it was a GN or T. At one point the value of the T Limited was quite high and similar to the GN, but in recent years I notice the GN has jumped way ahead, making me wish I had managed to keep the GN. I guess the GNs are more desirable, but most people who know and appreciate TRs will know they are the same other than cosmetics. I feel due to production numbers, the Limiteds are currently undervalued. Muscle cars have always been about production numbers and horsepower, though the sinister look of a GN is undeniable, but production way way higher.
1986 buick T types production # is 1921 units. There was also a WH1 option, which is a 2 tone paint job with black accessories, 463 units were produced, for a total of 2384 units in 86. The plaque is correct.
BulletmotorsportsInc probable 86 gn`s in in white is also rare,my commebts below but 87 gnx``s 547 but the 87 gn`s in white is rarre 2,000 built i might be wrong, do your own researtch on it
BulletmotorsportsInc dude i think read the white 87 buick gn`s are rare,i cant remember yhe production numbers but they were lil bit more of the 87 buick gnx model but rare
This car is a rare and much lighter than the grand national i think the 87 had aluminum drums. I think this is the either correction the wh1 rpo option
@@justdust7964 Took that bullshit CCC carburetor & computer out. Changed out the air injection manifold(s) and intake manifold. Inline electric fuel pump, new carburetor and new distributor... Had $2 K in the engine alone. 😝
I had an 86 Regal Limited. What a beautiful ride. God I miss that car.

Thanks for the new knowledge
Love the colour of the car. It's a nice change to see a T-Type.
87 Limited T is the 1547 production figure IIRC. Own a white T-type like this one, 86 is where it's at, baby!
Thank you. I didn’t know the exact number.
@@BulletmotorsportsInc I checked production, total 86 T-types produced is 1,921. Still very rare and the true survivors are rare as hens teeth.
I also have white 86 T-type, has Blue interior. These have always been my favorite cars.
87 Turbo Limited production is 1035; 87 Turbo-T WE4 is 1547.
@@stevencovington4715 Yes thats the right number on the T Limited. One of the lowest production TRs other than the GNX.
It has a spring grille . It pushes in if your hit a bird. Fun fact

My 86 I had to shove a flat blade screw driver in above the cassette so it would play. Good old Ac Delco

Id rather have this than the GN. The wheels were made by Rocket.

Seatbelts are broke?
Sun visors are bubbling a little, old glue must be worn out. Antenna is stuck up unless its not retractable
