I love that the Maverick took home the trophy. That fella was so pumped just to have made it to the show.
Living the Good Life, Filthy Rich with Love, God & Country this is Why you are The Man
just the kind of energy we need at events like this. Congrats Mav dude
Maybe a padawan!!😁😆😆
Congratulations, Derek. I was checking out your numbers, and your channel frequently surpassed NASCAR truck racing for the number of viewers. More people watch you than a multi-million dollar production.
NASCAR!?? Are they still a "thing"? I quit watching or attending that scripted racing circuit about 4 years ago.
😂😂😂

Drinkers side is happy.Nope he fell out but at least he didn't spill the drink.
DAMN!!!!
After a 13 hour day in the big truck, sealing a flat tire on the goin ta town Kia, this episode is exactly what the doctor ordered. Thanks Derek!
Thanks for stopping by!
I saw the smoke all the way from Denver!
What a fun looking event!
I feel ya…. I’m camped out in a Walmart parking lot now on my 34 hour reset 🤪😂

Vice grip garage is the God father of will it run , the man the myth the legend
Appreciate the kind words!
Absolutely agree but since Derek gets almost all of them running the “will it “ part doesn’t really fit😁
Roadkill is the Godfather Vice Grip is the favorite Grandchild lol Love them both
Correct@@brax0210
@@ViceGripGarageidk if you know or when you get this but I am on the bus to magic kingdom with you
The only channel that's so good you always hit the like button before you see anything.
EXACTLY! 100%😃😃
That's exactly what I do. Because I know its going to be QUALITY Content! 🇺🇸1776🇺🇸
I love that Derik talks to the drivers and get to find out what’s in the car
I’ve been so busy this week, I just got to see Roadworthy Rescues today, and now this! TGIF - Thanks Grip, I’m Fine. You don’t know how much we all look forward to kicking back on Fridays to VGG - thanks for all you do! ~ Chuck
Appreciate you Chuck, thanks for watching
@@ViceGripGarageWe Are All In This To Get Her
yep! VGG and This N That Garage (both in Tennessee). Friday nights are awesome!
@@ViceGripGarageAppreciation is more than mutual - thanks for taking the time to reply. About as cool as getting to meet you and Mrs Bieri at Iola. ~ Chuck
I agree. Vgg and npk.
Screw tv
I always knew Derek was a showman with his own distinctive style. I was not prepared for the kind of showman he has really become! He had the crowd when he stepped out of Charlotte and dejectedly said "....digicals...."
But then he emceed the burn out competition with ease, like he has been doing this all his life. This was a great show!
It wouldn't be a VGG pit if something didn't break. But even more VGG to get it rolling again and still put on a show by the end!
Man it was so fun, and thank you Derek for having it here this year.
Thanks for coming
Derek is a very lucky man. He gets to do what he loves and have it provide a great life for his family.
That pacer is nuts. What a machine. He just parks that thing at 7000 and lets it eat.
Totally agree! Now I gotta have one. Funny, wasn't the Gremlin the more popular ofthose two amc hatchbacks? I like the Pacer better, that rounded tail end is slick! I always was a weirdo, I never cared what anybody else thought.😉👍👊
The thing that makes me happiest about this video is the look of pure joy you have at the end doing that amazing burn run. You deserve it!
34:00! Red hot!
Header@@ripvanrevs
it's so good to see a humble man get the recognition usually reserved for egotists. you deserve every bit of fame and more
Dude. Frieburger/derek standing next to each other. 2 of my biggest car idols hands dooown👊
From building a Chevelle in his plain garage to being the MC at a burnout competition and being in commercials for o'reilly. Air high fives Derek! Also, the entire exhaust system on that truck was cherry red at the end. Gave me goosebumps 😜
What a blast! Derek, you gotta host again at an event like this if you can squeeze it in. Epic Burnout. That go pro on the ground got a couple sweet shots
Break out the cold snacks and wet the ol' back neck, time to enjoy a new episode of VGG!
Shewhoooo budy!
Amen brother!
Say no more
Got my flannel on in the garage
That was great Derek and I ❤you guys,Jim J&R mobile service
VGG is now a bigger celebrity on UA-cam than the road kill gang- Way to go Derek!
Derrick please. Please always have your fire suit on during any burn out. Especially since Charlotte is pretty much wide open and no body to sheikd you. Things can go bad real quickly when u least expect it. Just want u to be safe bud.
So glad the Mav won the burnout run. That guy is a testimony to what you inspire in all of your viewers. Thank you for all of your hard work and content.
Great show once again. So great to see a sneek peek of NNKH running the ford van!!!! Good show 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏
Been watching VGG for a few years now and that burnout running down the wall waving your hand to pump up the crowd gave me goosebumps. Hands down the coolest burnout. What great energy you bring to this industry. You’ve become a staple in households all over the country and I’m on the edge of my seat waiting for more. Fantastic job.
Whats interesting here is that VGG is now delivering the cabibre of content Hot Rod/Motor Trend did before they put it behind a paywall. Obviously, there is a demand for this on YT! Between this, DD Speed Shop, Stay Tuned -- is anyone paying MT anymore?
Stay tuned. For Freiburger to do to VGG what he did... to everything else he touches.
@zeropoint546 I hope not, but knowing how shady frieburger is I wouldn't be surprised. Him and Finnegan are both lying scumbags and traitors to their true fans.
Also junkerup,Chris birdsong he was the guy in the ratty 71 charger. He is incredibly skilled in body work and is the guy that rebuilt the body on general mayhem. And he owns a general lee and about 20 other 68,69,70 chargers.
I see alot of stuff on YT that's better than the big TV and Hollywood stuff
Birdsong is a legend in the Charger world.
Had a couple of build videos of this car on his channel.@@Jdwescott
The highlight of my week is when a new VGG video comes out. Thanks for the constant content Derek.
Anybody else see the NNKH van on the drag strip? I can't wait for their next video!
That was priceless seeing the Econoline on the dragstrip.😂😂😂😂😂❤
Vgg! I really appreciate the way you make auto repair look easy. I've learned a lot watching the channel. If I wasn't disabled, I would be turning wrenches today. Thank you for sharing. I also enjoy watching Bentley right by your side. Reminds me of my younger helping me.
Yep Friday night just got 100% better I get literally one night off a week and it just happens to be vgg upload nights and I'm perfectly OK with that being my highlight of the night lol other than my family time of course thanks for the free entertainment fella!
That last burnout was more than enough to win the competition!!! Awesome!!!
Your high✋ drive off after losing all the wind in them tires must made a guy feel good, made me happy watching it. Thanks for a great episode.
Earned it!
I want to thank all of you, You have given me many binging hours of awesome content !
Hey Derek..been watching your channel since the beginning and thrilled for you and your family that it's a successful as it is. You deserve it and keep it up. TV show is pretty awesome too by the way!
Thanks so much!
Love to see all the fun & success you're having. Don't forget your bread and butter, doing rescues/revivals. It's what got ya here.
One of the best I have seen in a long time for a show. The fun and the laughs never stopped!😊
Being Master of Ceremonies is not as easy as it looks. Derek did a great job with the burnout competition.
Agreed having hosted a few events professionally and for family I can say this guy is made for it. Just a naturally funny guy who likes to make people have a good time. His YT success makes sense ..... well done Derek (sp?) you're a legend. 😊
The white Pacer did the best burnout
💯
This is my new favorite episode! Talk about a storybook ending for the Manvrick. Can't wait for the next one.
Awesome content, Derik. Thanks for helping keep racing traditions alive
Burnouts APPROVED!!
Way to make a fellers day
Awsome job on the production quality sir your channel Is really on par or better known then the show trucks
Good to see a couple other youtubers in the background, Low Buck Garage and No Nonsense Know How, in the video.
I love how Derek went from fixing up old sleds in his garage in Minnesota to obliterating tires with Freiburger and Dulcich, all in the span of about a year.
I made it out with two cars. This was my first time at Duct Tape Drags!! Will definitely be going again!!! I couldn’t believe how many of my favorite UA-cam channel people were there and hanging out at the bonfire!!! Super cool!!
Great episode, Derek. That UFO Pinto was badass, but you really stole the show with that late burnout! Your headers were bright orange as you were exiting the burnout box. Great run.
I'm in Charlotte...
Watching Charlotte...
Go Go VGG...
Shout out to Chris and Jen
No Nonsense Know How
That AMC Pacer was INSANE!
Hi vice grip love the vid! 2 seconds and I’m already liking keep it up!
Thank you!
That doorless Charger just has that little bit of something special that make it more than the sum of its parts. It’s special. It looks like it was created by a professional Hollywood effects crew for a dystopian Mad Max’esque yarn.
An AMC Pacer as a burnout car. Now that's funny!😂
Another great video Derek, what a blast and I agree with some of the followers that the Pacer was a tire fryer, see ya next week 👍👍
Glowing headers at the end were worth the wait! Badass run... Such a cool thing to look back at how far Derek has come, making grainy videos out of his garage to co-hosting with Freiburger! Carry on sir!
The guy with the Maverick was the real winner that day. Good stuff, guy.
Would have loved to see Holy Goat do the burn out box. Huge weight savings
Every car in this made me smile. The Brotherhood of Busted Knuckles and Empty Wallets.
My favorite part was seeing Derek driving by giving all the fans high fives
Give "THE MAN" that trophy....what a burn-out by Derrick in Charlotte! Holy cow, simply perfect; loved it! Thanks for sharing Derrick. All the best and stay safe!
Yes! Couldn’t wait, my good man. Bring the Friday Thunder!
needed this so bad! Thanks for posting, was the highlight of my week for sure.
Absolutely amazing episode like always Derek 👌
Cool to see Chris & Jen from NoNonsenceKnowHow. That old green van is a hoot!
They named her “Gail the Snail”!
Its finally time to kick the feet up and wet the ol back neck
and enjoy another great VGG video living life a quarter mile at a time 😂
Now THAT is what a GoPro is for ;)...
That tire shot while it was laying in on the burnout pad was $$$
Duct Tape Drags? 😆 What Could Go Wrong? Sounds Safe to me! 🤔 😂
This channel is such a good pocket of the internet
Great video. The ugly Nova was my fave. I've always wondered how do these folks in a burnout competition ever see anything / keep from getting dizzy/sick?
I've owned 6 Turbo Regal's. I've been mid 13's bone stock with a tire. And 12.50's@109 with a race chip, 160 degree thermostat, fuel pump hotwire kit and adjustable wastegate actuator in a full weight WE4.
And went 11.70's in a full weight turbo t limited, 140,000 miles, with the above recipe, added fuel pump, Precision pt 51 turbo, 50lb injectors, 3" downpipe. Stock motor, ( valve springs only)
Some good ideas for a guy to play around with
Awesome!!
Thanks for watching!
Pit boss and charlotte stole the event! Good job!!
HELL YEAH BROTHER YOU MADE MY DAY!!!!! OLD CHEVY NEVER DIE THEY GET MORE EXPENSIVE ✌🏻👍🏻💯
What's hell got to do with anything?
Just curious.
Is hell a good thing?
I had a turbo t type Buick regal that ran 14.28 in the 1/4 off the brake pedal on radial tires with a tiny burn out.
14.28 108 mph if u catch the boost climbing perfect off the brake pedal u can time a decent launch and tickle around 13.85 - to 14.00 dial in and they run consistent my t type won the slow bracket race about 5 different times.
Notice that Charlotte didn't need glow lights to glow(not that they're no cool)...... Hot little air pump....
Dont get burn-outs... just dont... somebody explain them to me !!
gets the drive tires sticky
Woooooohoooooooo
Ummm. AWESOME!!!
Such a great burnout contest Derek so much support for the sport. The duct tape drags were awesome seeing all those different cars out there.
It was so fun being there and seeing you and all the other celebrities.
Yes yes yes yes yes yes yeees 😄😄👊
As as fella from Aussie-land, I enjoyed your burnout comp and the absolute Mad Max level of rigs that turned up. My ute would've felt right at home there. Cheers for an awesome vid mate.
Thank you for everything you do!! You have inspired thousands of us car guys who can’t afford shiny rigs that it doesn’t matter what it looks like just have fun with it.
Freakin awesome Derek!!! Charlotte did wicked burnouts and so did the others. Thanks for making a fellars Friday's!!!
Born and raised in Tucson, raced a 69 GTO at the old Tucson Dragway in 1980-82. Good times!
wow such a very cool event ,thank you for sharing ,loved that last burn out with charollet
Awesome and fun to watch.
Vice Grip for Automotive President!
go back to fixen cars
33:47 glowing red headers !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Call me a stick in the mud but I just don't get the burn out pit thing. So you make a car that can burn the tires off (not that hard) and then take it out there and spin donuts around with it. How much talent does it take to do that? Drag racing is great, takes driving skill and mechanical skill to build a car that will go fast in the 1/4 mile. If you could strap a monkey in the seat of a burn out car and show him where the go fast pedal is, I'm sure he would figure out the rest. Just not my cup of tea.
To be fair burning out the tires while spinning around in a Dodge Viper while maintaining control and not smacking up against a wall does sound like it would take some skill.
I have watched a lot of burn out videos the shots of you in the truck and the under car shots were very well done keep doing them it really shows what your doing in the truck.
Monday 3:45 pm. Derek, when my father and I worked on cars when I was a kid in the 60's, his terminology was like yours with sparkolalters and mixolaters so when I hear your descriptions, it always takes me back. Plus we worked on LOTS of old Cadillacs. Love your show. Michael Giordano
Awesome driving Derek. Great show for sure! Ballz to the wall.
Awesome video! This channel has grown so much to all your hard work! Thanks!
Great show keep up the amazing work be safe my friends God bless all
What a blast! Thanks for bringing us along Derek.
Killer video Derek, keep up the great work.
I had to save my wife’s mini van today replacing the hard to get to alternator on a sketchy street I am unfamiliar with and I said “Well HELP ME UNDERSTAND” like 5 times. Just thought you should know 😂
Haha
I could have watched two hours of this easy!!! Lucky had me cracking up, and birdsongs car was EPIC! As usual charlotte put in work and finished the night off strong, such a cool video!
You’re a true blue American legend my dude! I love it!!!
I was in Tucson visiting my brother, we went to this event!! What an awesome time it was!!!
This is about where I found your content. I was watching NNKH and their van at the Duct Tape Drags.
Those headers were glowing beautifully
Found about about Derek after watching his show on Motortrend and absolutely love it. Went straight to youtube and had to give you a sub. Keep on doing what your doing.
I had a Blast At Duct Tape Drags and Was So awesome To Meet you And Get a Photo WITH you Derek @Vice Grip Garage
