    Eric, I absolutely want to buy your merch and represent the Bugez! A black shirt with a cool cartoon pic of you raging and „ITS A MINDSET“ on it or something in this fashion. Or an oldschool sleeveless shirt with „ITS A MINDSET“ on the front and „The Bugez“ on the mid traps. I am also tattooing myself „ITS A MINDSET“ on my forearm. The right mindset is everything for me and teaches me everything in life. You are a real inspiration for me! Thank you!

    A lot of grip guys swear by time holds. A really successful program has been 70-75% of your max for 5 sets of 10 second holds with 15 seconds rest between sets. It was configured by a dude who could probably hit like 455+ on fat gripz. He's lifted a 200lb 2.5" handle solid piece dumbbell. So if you've ever heard of the thomas inch dumbbell, it's like that but on steroids. The holds are fucking brutal but many people have seen progress. I've messed around with it and think it's pretty good. Those negatives definitely help too though. I'm more like you where I prefer to test a max basically every session. Grip gains for me have been very sporadic and will freeze for a while and then suddenly shoot up out of nowhere. I think you'll definitely make better progress though because my mentality isn't nearly as strong

    • @drewbert6712
      @drewbert6712 6 років тому +1

      I was lifting for about 5 months (in a shitty neighborhood gym) but i lacerated 7 tendons in my left forearm and I couldn't lift for 4 months so I lost all my muscle. I started lifting again August 2017 but I was using minimal equipment until I got a gym membership so I have only been training properly since December. Now my squat PR is 295 (beltless) but I don't DL heavy because I don't own a belt yet. Cheers and thanks for the encouragement!

    Grip sport guy here: thick bar goes up slowly, if at all. Best is the 'T set' : 10 second hold, 15 second break
    Do 3 sets of 5 and you should be toast and see some gains.

    Try explosive movements, more acceleration against Gravity means more weight to hold for your hand. It's also possible to do power-eccentrics, where you deaccelerate a falling weight rapidly by catching it with your grip. I applied this very successful with powercleans when I revert the Bar back from rackposition into a hang position.

    You ever tried 1-arm rows holding the 2" part of the barbell? It's like using an axle bar. I've found it works really well for grip even just trying to hold onto it for time in between deadlift warmups.
