Eric, I absolutely want to buy your merch and represent the Bugez! A black shirt with a cool cartoon pic of you raging and „ITS A MINDSET“ on it or something in this fashion. Or an oldschool sleeveless shirt with „ITS A MINDSET“ on the front and „The Bugez“ on the mid traps. I am also tattooing myself „ITS A MINDSET“ on my forearm. The right mindset is everything for me and teaches me everything in life. You are a real inspiration for me! Thank you!
A lot of grip guys swear by time holds. A really successful program has been 70-75% of your max for 5 sets of 10 second holds with 15 seconds rest between sets. It was configured by a dude who could probably hit like 455+ on fat gripz. He's lifted a 200lb 2.5" handle solid piece dumbbell. So if you've ever heard of the thomas inch dumbbell, it's like that but on steroids. The holds are fucking brutal but many people have seen progress. I've messed around with it and think it's pretty good. Those negatives definitely help too though. I'm more like you where I prefer to test a max basically every session. Grip gains for me have been very sporadic and will freeze for a while and then suddenly shoot up out of nowhere. I think you'll definitely make better progress though because my mentality isn't nearly as strong
Nice one brother! I also hit my 225 bench yesterday! Im a similar height and weight. Interested in finding out how long you’ve been lifting and your PRs for DL and squat. Cheers
I was lifting for about 5 months (in a shitty neighborhood gym) but i lacerated 7 tendons in my left forearm and I couldn't lift for 4 months so I lost all my muscle. I started lifting again August 2017 but I was using minimal equipment until I got a gym membership so I have only been training properly since December. Now my squat PR is 295 (beltless) but I don't DL heavy because I don't own a belt yet. Cheers and thanks for the encouragement!
I rarely ever comment but I always watch every chance I can! A lot of great info and I appreciate the honesty ! I just wanted to say you're a Big inspiration man . 👍
Grip sport guy here: thick bar goes up slowly, if at all. Best is the 'T set' : 10 second hold, 15 second break Do 3 sets of 5 and you should be toast and see some gains.
Try explosive movements, more acceleration against Gravity means more weight to hold for your hand. It's also possible to do power-eccentrics, where you deaccelerate a falling weight rapidly by catching it with your grip. I applied this very successful with powercleans when I revert the Bar back from rackposition into a hang position.
Eric you should come out with some shirts.. that Savage power background on a black or white t or tank top would be great ... you have a good number of fans now
You ever tried 1-arm rows holding the 2" part of the barbell? It's like using an axle bar. I've found it works really well for grip even just trying to hold onto it for time in between deadlift warmups.
i wonder how it would feel to throw some fat grips on a pull up bar and do some dead hangs or weighted dead hangs, holding for as long as you can to build that forearm endurance
Try deadlifting with bands, not reverse bands though... either just stand on them or set them up properly but that has given me so much more power when it comes to locking out weights with fat gripz
Oh man. I need to get my grip strength up. Deadlifted 220lbs for a 1rm a week back. Felt like my back could take it for a couple more times. But my hands simply couldn't hold the bar. Couldn't even use my thumb .Just picked it up with 4 finger hook grip.
Eric your talking about overloading the top just do fat gripz rack pulls you will do more. The thighs support part of the weight Eric I'm going to be trying something with iron bull grips for this week that hasn't been done I'll get back to you if it works. With the 2 inch my best is 277 but my hand size is under 7 inches
Oh I remember I would do this with my shitty fit grips too after doing holds for 10-15 sec, after injuring my pinkie(still damaged) it made my three fingers and thumb stronger to the point it over took my dominant hand in grip( I trained evenly) I can only do 90s like that tho :(
HOWDY RICKY THE EAGLE TOBANGEN BAGAN, when you work a double hand over grip deadlift every day, what is the volume like, and do you use any accessory work? do you think since lifts are skills that i should deadlift every day to see the fastest gains?
Wouldn't doing a rack pull (probably a high one is best in this case I think) with some heavy weight and simply holding it with fat gripz for reps of time be really good for your goal at the moment ??
Have you ever thought about directly working the outside muscles of the forearm? Also you should try doing false grip stuff to build the finger muscles.
I bought some fat gripz, and holy shit they make stuff hard. I got 205 double overhand deadlift with a nice hold, and that was a challenge. Now I have a new goal!
Yo "Ricky The Bugez", what do you think about isometric bodyweight training for boulder shoulders, once in a while? Sometimes, I just wanna blast Meshuggah from my PC Speakers, and do a one minute handstand against the wall for sets, and in between, punching the air as fast as possible. after a while you get a DYNAMITE PUMP.
*The Bugez in 2020*
-So I'm stuck at 1320lbs double overhand and ...
Willmakk 😂😂😂😂
not there yet but hey! guess we'll see
Bro we are now
Aye it’s 2020
I’m from the future in 2020 to let you know that is not the case.
It’s 1420.
for grip i just glue my hands to the bar and pull
Who needs skin am I right
THIS UPLOAD FREQUENCY IS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE

I need Bugez apparel with pictures of his drawings with inspirational quotes by him written under it.
I’m not much of a merch guy, but I would absolutely buy an “it’s a mindset” shirt. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I would definitely buy the merch. 100%
Hand grips when your driving. Use them. No wasted time. Builds forearms and strength.
The Luch i thought I was the only one that did that! Been using some cheap generic ones for months, time to invest in captains of crush soon
Added bonus - awesome grip gains/PRs when about to road rage. Win-win.
The Luch Eric has used the captions of crush grippers and got really high but he found for him there was little to no carryover to his pulls
Hypertrophy gains. Nice when wearing shirts rolled up or T-shirts.
Delete your powersteering, work arms with every turn 💪
Love your "OH ERIIIIC"-voice. Fucking love it.
Gets instant like from me when i hear it
From now on we're calling reverse bands "pulling the nether" 😂 😂 😂
Gabriel Martins I love it
I'm dying hahaha

I'm working on flex arm hangs and so far so good - but prepared to switch things up when I smoke a wall. Cheers for the tips!
Loving the grip videos
I rarely ever comment but I always watch every chance I can! A lot of great info and I appreciate the honesty ! I just wanted to say you're a Big inspiration man . 👍
Gage Turner thanks brother
Eric Bugenhagen NEVER QUIT, NEVER FAIL!!!
That's what I was trying!! Got inspired by your grip training last week!
Grip sport guy here: thick bar goes up slowly, if at all. Best is the 'T set' : 10 second hold, 15 second break
Do 3 sets of 5 and you should be toast and see some gains.
bulgarian frecuency of uploadings for all kind of grip gainsss from Eric man of steel bugenhagen!
Loving these fucking uploads Mr. Bugez
The handle is incredible and the “1-2 nether” good video

INTENSE uploads from the bugez

Enjoying the content,I just subbed.
Michael Hussein thanks bro
When you gonna start with heavy reverse cheat WRIST curls for some MASSIVE forearm extensor gainzzzzz? MIIIINDSETTTT.
Above the knee rack pull with with a 10sec hold helps the grip. Couldn't resist. Kinda the same idea of the resistance bands.
PULL THE OL' 1-2-NETHER AND USE REVERSE BANDS
I want a review on those pumps and where I can acquire some.
Eric you should come out with some shirts.. that Savage power background on a black or white t or tank top would be great ... you have a good number of fans now
Keep making golden nicknames please

Heard about you from my searching of people who hate alphadestiny. Subbed
You should look into getting a wrist wrench if you're into heavy one arm dumbbell lifts. Helps a lot.
i wonder how it would feel to throw some fat grips on a pull up bar and do some dead hangs or weighted dead hangs, holding for as long as you can to build that forearm endurance
Grip, rip, row, grow!
Love, from India.
Try deadlifting with bands, not reverse bands though... either just stand on them or set them up properly but that has given me so much more power when it comes to locking out weights with fat gripz
A great way to increase grip strenght also would be to deadlift while isolating fingers (thumb + index / thumb + middle finger etc.)
Ricky the eagle tabagen bugenhagen
You could try putting some rubber bands around your fingers and pumping up the extensors with your warm up sets.
WHY WONT UA-cam LET ME LIKE THIS VIDEO TWICE?
Hey eric 🙂 i have a question, can i get big doing 5x5 zercher squats and bench press everyday? Thanks! Love your videos man!
One handed DB snatch is great for grip also.
Ricky the EAGLE BUGEZ with yet another showcase of why he has the best mullet
Eric have you been doing towel pullups? Your grip strength will sky rocket if you incorparate them correctly.
Josh Harrison havent done them in years...they're great tho
Great use of concentric! You gotta shirt yet? AKA Merch? :)
"Sweet pumps" lmaoooo
Oh man. I need to get my grip strength up. Deadlifted 220lbs for a 1rm a week back. Felt like my back could take it for a couple more times. But my hands simply couldn't hold the bar. Couldn't even use my thumb .Just picked it up with 4 finger hook grip.
My hero
I miss these kind of vids
ITS A MINDSET... tricks help also
The “Eagle Taboggan” im choking
Eric your talking about overloading the top just do fat gripz rack pulls you will do more. The thighs support part of the weight

“So what I have here guys is some sweet pumps” 😂😂
Ricky the Booogenhagenhagenhergen
Can you do a Q and A soon love the vibe
How long have you been doing Bulgarian and what did you do before that. Maybe you already said but I forgot sorry 😐
all the other kids with the pumped up kicks
This guy is a fucking genius
ill pay rent to live in that wonderful studio
all the other grips with the pumped up kicks
What do you estimate for your 1RM on conventional deadlift (meaning mixed grip) at the moment?
Gonna go do some double overhand deadlifts for you mang
Just did those today! They sucked but the weight was light enough to keep good form so that's a bonus
This guy looks like Superman
Oh I remember I would do this with my shitty fit grips too after doing holds for 10-15 sec, after injuring my pinkie(still damaged) it made my three fingers and thumb stronger to the point it over took my dominant hand in grip( I trained evenly) I can only do 90s like that tho :(
Hmmm good info mr.eric
HOWDY RICKY THE EAGLE TOBANGEN BAGAN, when you work a double hand over grip deadlift every day, what is the volume like, and do you use any accessory work? do you think since lifts are skills that i should deadlift every day to see the fastest gains?
hey, do fat grip barbell rows...the movement of the barbell makes it much harther (same as db) however it will be more SPECIFIC to your deadlifts
Wouldn't doing a rack pull (probably a high one is best in this case I think) with some heavy weight and simply holding it with fat gripz for reps of time be really good for your goal at the moment ??
PUMP THE KICKZ... PUMP THE GRIPZ!!!!!
My bad...I didn’t realize you copy righted that.
Have you tried fat grips variants on the trap bar deadlift? I honestly love doing farmer walks with those.
rb9951 not yet but that's the plan
Have you ever thought about directly working the outside muscles of the forearm? Also you should try doing false grip stuff to build the finger muscles.
Aaron M I've done plenty of wrist rolling which hits those muscles but that's it
Rickytheeagletomagenmasterbuganhagen is so majestic, same level as Gaius Julius Caesar
Ricky The Eagle Toboggan Bugenhagen!!
Yo, you hear that people sent GARLIC BREAD to edge of space then ate it?? It’s all you man. YOU started the GARLIC fetish.. haha
Nick Zamsky Tom Scott aye
What do you think about captains of crush grippers?
Grip wisdom goes over the mindset. Btw, I'm still around :-)
Grippy Ricky

This vid came up on autoplay and I was about to skip, but then he called himself "Ricky The Eagle Tobagen Bugenhagen", and I was sold
I bought some fat gripz, and holy shit they make stuff hard. I got 205 double overhand deadlift with a nice hold, and that was a challenge. Now I have a new goal!
Do you know when you'll be making your first wrestling appearance yet?
1 2 nether. i like it
Yo "Ricky The Bugez", what do you think about isometric bodyweight training for boulder shoulders, once in a while?
Sometimes, I just wanna blast Meshuggah from my PC Speakers, and do a one minute handstand against the wall for sets, and in between, punching the air as fast as possible.
after a while you get a DYNAMITE PUMP.
FutureSequence I can't say bro, I've never incorporated handstands in my training
Hhahah that intro :D
Ricky the eagle you still training arms everyday ?
This is like doing negatives on pull up to increase pull up strength should probably work on grip too
"Grippy" the Eagle TwoBagen Bugenhagen. Helps with your grip.
No more taping dumbbells to my hands!
You can replace the bones for titanium and your grip and punch will improve
Toboggan? Any relation to Dr. Mantis Toboggan
What about fat grip rack pulls, above the knee then gradually lower the pin height?
Aaron Henderson haha
Does more one rep max mean being able to do more reps?
Do you have any heavy duty adjustable dumbbell recommendations?
LahavEp honestly, the cheap ones work just as well as the expensive ones...just buy them at a sporting goods store or on amazon
Do you ever get pain from holding heavy ass shit, especially while curling and it hurts a ton to let go of? I get it along my ulna, it sucks.
Tzar I was getting tendinitis when I was working arms everyday...I switched grip size every workout and that seemed to help a bit
Dr. Mantis Bugenhagen, MD
Sweet pumps? Yes
I seriously miss pump shoes. Way cooler and functional than shoes with lights in them.
Funniest muscle man on UA-cam
