  • In this recorded screencast, Leon Tukker shows you how to use Cinema 4D in a concept art workflow using Cinema 4D’s MoGraph and modifiers to quickly create a 3D scene as a base for a detailed concept illustration.
After exporting into Photoshop, multiple painting and composition techniques are used to finish the illustration.
The following topics will be covered:
*Exploring basic tools and MoGraph techniques to generate a 3D base
*Applying tileable textures to create material to work with in Photoshop
*Painting over the 3D base using various painting and compositing techniques

Thank you for sharing your techniques! You are very talented!!!
I love it, but can you zoom in so we can see the painting? You had plenty of screen area. It was like looking at a postage stamp.

Hey Peggy! I'm very sorry. I'm working on a 4K screen so for me it was big enough to work with. I always tend to work zoomed out because that way I can focus more on the whole picture instead of tiny details! Thank you very much :)

If I want to make an abandoned kind of destroyed looking building, would the "shader" be good for that? Or what could I do otherwise to make a half destructed old looking building? Any tips?

Yes! The shader deformer would be perfect to create demolished buildings because you have a lot of control on how you destroy it! I'd suggest to try it out. If you want to make it half destroyed make sure you put a falloff on your polyFX deformer!
