Rest in peace Willie "Popsy" Dixon. I had the pleasure of making your acquaintance at a blues festival in Auckland a few years ago. Your words of wisdom were greatly appreciated. God bless you Popsy and your family in their time of mourning.
The was the first song played on July 12, 2012 - Burnside Park, Providence, Rhode Island - We were all so blessed that day. Thanks, again, to the City of Providence for that wonderful, free summer concert series; and, to The Holmes Brothers for their gifts of music. You're a National Treasure.
In memoriam of Popsy and Wendell with Sherman to carry on a legacy on. One of the greatest crossover performers of my time. Sherman if you should see this one day to it. My Smyphaty to you and families still.
Still listening and appreciating in 2023 and beyond!
