The Lin bud looks the same at the end of the video. Wonder if you unplugged the alternator front probe the connector is that signal from another module.
The lin bus signal was very similar with or without the new alternator. You're right. Inconclusive results unless you factor in the fault codes going away with new alternator. I can try probing without the alternator connected like you recommend! It's been over 2000km since repair.
I have already replaced the alternator twice on my van but a similar fault code shows up randomly every other day, mine is 2263-1 G2/7 alternator Lin bus communication fault.
Your lin bus symptoms are consistent with an intermittent, bad connection at a connector. I would double check all connectors for proper pin contact before jumping to any conclusions.
So I can assist you better could you give me more information on your sprinter, year, engine size, is this a conversion van ? And lastly, why were the last two alternators replaced ?
Just saw your reply. Mine is a 2007 dodge sprinter 3.0 diesel, I use it as a cargo van for work. I initially replaced the alternator because the battery light came on and I had 12.5 volts with the engine running. Now the running voltage is better, but sometimes it fluctuates from 13v - 14v, during that the battery light comes on and I get an error stored "2263-1 G2/7 alternator Lin bus communication fault". It usually happens when the van is just warming up, and I can feel the alternator is changing its resistance back and fourth.
You are awesome I did the same test with original bosch alternator after I had one from autozone installed and it fixed the code thank you so much

Did the reman alt last?
It lasted about two months , will stay away from non oem generators for these units
What scope is that
Pico scope 2204a, there was a way to get it to work with the automotive pico software but it doesn't work anymore
