NEW VIDEOS ADDED EVERY COUPLE DAYS.
Today I was trying out a reel that is substantially cheaper than most of my other gear. The reel was offered to me by Piscifun ( www.piscifun.com/ ) in exchange for me to do a video reviewing it.
So here is what I though. The reel feels very nice out of the box. It is a light weight smooth feeling reel. I think it has a cool/mean looking design and I like the sound of the drag. As for performance, I didn't have any issues and I am happy with it. I will continue to use it for Mackerel fishing, as that is a great way to test the durability of a reel. I'll keep you guys posted.
Here is their website so you can check out all the specs for yourself.

Nice video. Thanks for the review. I recently got the Pascifun Horor HR40. Nice and light. Use it for casting foe blues and Spanish. I like it.
Nice.
The design and overall look of the reel is awesome! Pair it with a nice rod and could be a great pier fishing/inshore set up!
Felt good.
Appreciate the video.Looking forward to a later video on the on the reel
Thanks.
You know what I think it's awesome that these companies are finally giving you and some other fishing UA-cam guys some products to try because I got to be honest I'm paying attention and I actually may look into a piscifun now that I have seen you use it 33 lb of drag on a 4000 reel is pretty badass if it is legit
I was impressed by it
Nice informative video thank you!! 🤙🏼
Dude it was a pleasure watching you fish , you know how to use that rod and reel to it's best effect. Lift up wind down and let the rod and drag do it's job. So many fishermen on utube drive me nutz when they use the reel as a winch.... could you even call them fishermen if they don't know the basic's???. AS FAR AS USING A ROD AND REEL YOUR A PRO.... Good work.
Loving the videos bro keep it rolling... Good job👍👍👍
You got it!
Joey Antonelli no i don't, just here for the videos...
It was crazy watching you guys fish man, so many people lol
Oh yeah.
And everyone work together to get the fish!
You answered my question! That reel can land fish!
Yep, sure did.
Use silly bands or little round rubber bands in your seats.
Really helps tighten them down and takes the wobble out, just make sure you tighten them after about the first week after that you're good.
It did great !!!!
Sure did.
Hollering!!!
looked chilly! braver than me
😁
Is it still holding up good the reel?
Nice
Nice vid
Thanks.
Hey joey. I’m going up to Florida for a week in April and I have some XRAPS/ Spoons/ spooks that need SALTWATER hook replacement. Do you have any suggestions for certain trebles that can handle saltwater and is there anyway to get them in an assortment pack? I only need like 2 of each size and don’t want to buy 25 hook packs
I don't know the hook number. But there are plenty of different treble hooks for sale in all of the fishing stores here. Where are you going in Florida?
What lbs braid you got in it
Nice vid! Do you prefer using pinfish or pigfish for snook and reds?
Depends on the day and what they are feeding on.
How’s the reel after 6 months of usage?
How’s its handling these days?
is your rod medium fast or medium heavy?
This reel suitable for light Jig?
I didn't try it but I think it would work. I really didn't use the real too much. I ended up giving it to a buddy but he is still using it.
11 bearings is alot at that price..
That reel is about the same weight as the vr50 right?
Feels like it.
What brand was that white rod?
Savage Gear
Joey Antonelli Thanks for replying. Is that product on the market I’ve been researching and researching I can’t find where to buy one of those. Maybe want to sell me yours😂
Haha. Can't sell mine. Haven't seen them out yet.
When you had your Diawa bg paired with the star rod what was that he rod rating because in several videos it has said differently when in discription
Also great vids would love to fish Sebastian inlet sometime with you guys
I got a couple of them. I'll have to look it up. I usually use the lighter one.
Thanks I’m 13 and I am starting to fish a lot more so I,m just trying to get some good combos going this year
The rod I usually used with the BG was a Star Seagis 7'6" 8-17lb.
Thanks
Was there something wrong with the slammer
Yes, was wrong with slammer? Thx
Nothing wrong with The Slammer. I was just trying a new reel. I will be using this reel for Spanish mackerel because I do not want to burn out my Slammer. We will see how long this real last mackerel fishing.
Ok thanks just wanted to know because I was thinking of buying one of the slammer
What pound leader did you use there
30lb florocarbon.
Thanks
Yes its probably up for the challenge. But why do you put them back in water!
I kept one and that is all we are allowed to keep. 1 Snook between 28" - 32" during season.
@@JoeyAntonelli hmmmm ok. That is some good amount.
💪⚙️🎣👏👏👏👍
80 fucking dollars.it better stand
I'm definitely not saying that $80 isn't anything, but comparatively speaking to the tackle usually used for snook fishing it is very cheap.
That reel will last a week of real fish catching tops!
It's going mackerel fishing on Monday.
@@JoeyAntonelli how's it holding up?
Where can I find that rod with the same spiral grips
He made it, use paracord and heat shrink
Heathbar 67 have you Seemann any tutorial about?
I have burr custom rods building me one right now.
what size rod did you pair it with ?
My 9' Snook rod I built.
