Happy to help mate, I made so many mistakes and wanna help people get it right faster. I think nepenthes breeding is coming into a super exciting time with the craziest plants being created.
Nice video! I needed this one because I have some Khasiana seeds that have sprouted - also, I don't really like the sound quality from that microphone, I much prefer the raw audio from the phone. Just a suggestion!
It's a tough cos what the microphone does save is I'm not battling to talk over the lawn mower next door, birds, kids playing and all the other noises in the back ground and if I walk away from the camera I don't need to shout for the phone to pick me up.
@@Eat-Me-Exotics Yeah I do agree with that but sometimes it sounds a bit like a phone call - you know how the audio cuts off for a split second sometimes? Anyway, just a suggestion :)
Nope your maths works out perfectly, mine did not 🤣🤣🤣. It was ment to be 50% perlite lol. BTW it's coco chips not orchid bark, orchid bark breaks down alot faster then coco chips and doesn't hold as much water.
@everfreebrumby8385 never annoying, I started this channel to help people. I'm in Australia and I order my chips from enfield pet and garden supplies. Good prices and they can supply large amounts as well as bulk perlite as well.
Nice video. Paul - Carnivorous Plant Kingdom
Love this video! Thank you for these "seed" video's. Now I know my seeds also are germinating ;-)

Can't win either way. I think in the long run I prefer the mic and will keep going with it.
@@Eat-Me-Exotics Ok sounds good
Do you change the mix much from seedling to adult?
After this size pot I do tend to use a chunker mix with 50/50 coco chips and perlite.
You name tags are they just printed using a label maker? And where do you get your flags from?
Yep I use a brother ptouch cube they are great and the labels last for years. The tags are just hard plastic uv stable tags off ebay.
@@Eat-Me-Exotics ahh thanks I've been putting off labelling my seedlings because they are complex hybrids and I can't write all that on a tag by hand
@@MCchomper hahaha yeah I remember doing that. Nothing worse the trying to write out 100+ complex hybrid tags by hand.
@@Eat-Me-Exotics this is only for personal collection I'm definitely greatfull Ill never have to do 100s of tags
@@MCchomper yeah I don't recommend it lol
I know my math is terrible but the mix you’ve given:
25% coco peat
25% orchid bark
25% perlite
Only adds up to 75%. Did I miss something?

@@Eat-Me-Exotics thanks for that. I’ll definitely try it.

@@Eat-Me-Exotics I’m actually living in Engadine in the Sutherland Shire not far from you. Thanks again.
