Even after all this years, I still enjoy this game just like Rome 2 and Thrones of Britannia and mods like these are pretty much part of the base game mod set up at this point. But I somehow never found the better projectile trail mod and this will make for a great addition.
Just subscribed because of this video. Great fixes for the game, definetely will make use of them especially the battle camera. Loving to zoom in TW - there are many details to observe in terms of appeal.
This is a great video. I currently play and make vids on Rome II. The only reason I didn't start Attila is because of the flaws CA still has to iron out, and these mods are great for improving play while they patch and stuff :) Keep up the good work :D
***** It is cheap now, but will it be even cheaper at the end of December, start of January? Massive steam sales after Christmas, 80% off would be awesome!
Thx 4 great vid mate :) btw i know its a bit late comment but could anyone kindly tell me whats the mod that enables u to view the settlement with civilians wandering around it?? Its shown on the vid from 4:53. Thx in advance !
Great choices. I've been looking for a decent compromise mod for the projectile trails for ages because vanilla is so horrible. I can see myself using most of these. Thanks!
One mod I can't live without is the 300 army limit as opposed to the 8-16(ish) army limit in the base game. In my opinion, the only thing that should limit an empires armies is its economy.
Hey, i have a question. Will they fix Attila, so that it will work with proper PFS? I mean, i can run Rome 2 on ultra settings now, since its been fixed, but i can't run Attila on high settings ... Thanks!
Hi, you know what the best mods are for the vanilla version of Rome 2 and Attila Total war, like a list with all the best mods of now, because I didn't know which ones were given the exorbitant number of mods.
what about one for the horrible economy for hordes trying to settle somewhere? I was playing the Alans and I would have had all of Cappadocia but the economy turned upside down, so unfair :(
+TheEriczeppe but still the economy goes down the drain completley, you have to preform a synchronised strike on an entire developed province (lets say italia) just to make sure that you dont go bankrupt. also you need to save up for about 20 turns at least to make sure that you can develop a province properly and have a clear plan on defense and further expansion once the province is taken.
TheEriczeppe dude not all of us want to play a slow campaign. I cannot stand the waiting game unless I have something to fall back on like managing. But as a horde you have almost nothing to manage and it gets super boring super fast.
Im a little late haha but whenever i launch the game with a big mod the game gets stuck on the loading screen... does that mean it is still loading or my computer cant handle the mod?
Kind of off topic here, but I wish the Mod Manager had some kind of 'Save Setting' for the mods of different campaigns so we didn't have to keep changing individual mods when we wanna play different campaigns. Like we would be able to save all of the 1212 mods together, then when we wanted to play 1212, we just click one button that switches on all of the 1212 mods.
***** Yeah after they fought along with Romans and learned how to use and make them for themselves. They never had it when they never met the Romans and when they learned they took advantage of the situation in the empire and they attacked the romans and took city by city before the Romans defeated them in 450AD. Only afterwards not before did they know artillery.
historygeek120 It's random to be honest. This is played on the Summer, Dry setting. Chances are big that when I restarted, the sky would be blue again.
+Jul 'mdama We English speakers notice this with all foreigners, and can usually identify French, German, Italian and Spanish speakers at the very least. ;)
Haha, I'm glad I wasn't the only one. Usually Dutch and Flemish people have different accents even in their English, but this time I was doubting, but it still sounded as someone from those countries.
KvltKommando I think about it also but don't know what .pack file mod. I'll write to someone who made the same modifications for Rome II. Maybe he helps us.
can anyone help me my gothic palatine defectors are shirtless with pony tails and long white shields. when I hire them their picture shows that they have helmets, black armor, and round redish shields.
It's a positive things to have not visible Borders. Limes were not clear as people think today they are today and they were in the past. Limes were not marked, and nations did not exist , it's just an US\UK way to vulgarize stuff... It's actually realistic to have no limes clear
there is already one nice mod. google for "seven kingdoms mod". you cant find it in the workshop so you need to install it manually...but they explain it at their homepage :).
Cool stuff, even though I already had most of these mods already :P. Check out "Ancient Empires" on Total war center, you might be interested. Its under hosted modifications for attila
+Capitan Pirk Bah, in reality during this time period, diplomacy was already fucked up, so much that the mighty Reik Alaric was forced to sack Rome because of that creature Honorius.
Fabritz Torres I realise its been sometime but in case you are still wondering, or if someone else reads your question and is wondering the same thing, then I can tell you cheat engine is good for adding gold. Norton thinks it is a virus regardless of where you download it from but its safe. just add to the safe list.
Units are all identical in all factions, even roman army is just like any other barbarian army. I don't feel like conquering the world with a barbarian faction. Everybody say Attila's UI is better but I think it's the opposite, it's much worse.
0:43 "Obviously"... lol
Even after all this years, I still enjoy this game just like Rome 2 and Thrones of Britannia and mods like these are pretty much part of the base game mod set up at this point. But I somehow never found the better projectile trail mod and this will make for a great addition.
Thank you for the spotlight, and yes, I do normally shorten it to just WalrusJones.
WalrusJones I figured, haha. Thanks for the handy mod.
I do try to make fun ones as well.
Just subscribed because of this video. Great fixes for the game, definetely will make use of them especially the battle camera. Loving to zoom in TW - there are many details to observe in terms of appeal.

GladiatorGamer Thanks for the kind words!
Thank you very much for doing what you're doing! You're awesome.
Another informative video and one which I will use to improve my First Attlia game, as soon as the Christmas Steam sale begins and I get 50% off. 😀
+Stephen Keely It's cheap on Steam right now!
***** It is cheap now, but will it be even cheaper at the end of December, start of January? Massive steam sales after Christmas, 80% off would be awesome!
Alright, I have spotlighted this video on the Tuskmod forums, as it does a great job of highlighting the UI changes in a positive way.
Cool :)
my face when intro is a fifth of the vid x)
how do you change the lighting/contrast from 2:55 to 2:56? attila is too dark for me
Thx 4 great vid mate :) btw i know its a bit late comment but could anyone kindly tell me whats the mod that enables u to view the settlement with civilians wandering around it?? Its shown on the vid from 4:53. Thx in advance !
Great choices. I've been looking for a decent compromise mod for the projectile trails for ages because vanilla is so horrible. I can see myself using most of these. Thanks!
Great list. Already use the Don't lie. Thanks!
TrueMokael Great to hear!
thanks for this great video!
what's your rig? and what are your settings? trying to run attila smooth! :)
One mod I can't live without is the 300 army limit as opposed to the 8-16(ish) army limit in the base game. In my opinion, the only thing that should limit an empires armies is its economy.
Or population size, therefore the number of armies limitation.
How many of these are you already using?
Quick question are these on the workshop?
All of them, yes. Links in the description
***** i am only using the water and the pikes mod but i am using Tuskmod and it does the same things like Olimpyans and WalrusJones mods
+Total War Zone good mods , but there is no links brother , could u add them pls .
+Total War Zone all of em
You can also activate the debug camera, if you want to zoom in closely. Of course, downloading the mod from Steam Workshop is quite a bit easier.^^
Kreuzkruger89 Or you can do that, yes. :P
I don't like the debug camera because it goes through the ground when zooming in to close.
Hey, i have a question. Will they fix Attila, so that it will work with proper PFS? I mean, i can run Rome 2 on ultra settings now, since its been fixed, but i can't run Attila on high settings ... Thanks!
Ur pc must be trash
Cool mods, very helpful.
Jan Kowalski Yes, they are. :)
Hi, you know what the best mods are for the vanilla version of Rome 2 and Attila Total war, like a list with all the best mods of now, because I didn't know which ones were given the exorbitant number of mods.
Does anyone have a current link to the Less Projectile Trails mod? Thanks!
More bold Campaign Borders doesn't seem to be on the Steam workshop...
steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=639792695&searchtext=More+bold+Campaign+Borders
If I already started a multiplayer campaign and we both decide to install a mod, will this work for the current campaign, we have?
what about one for the horrible economy for hordes trying to settle somewhere? I was playing the Alans and I would have had all of Cappadocia but the economy turned upside down, so unfair :(

Im a little late haha but whenever i launch the game with a big mod the game gets stuck on the loading screen... does that mean it is still loading or my computer cant handle the mod?
can you continue your campaign if you install this mods and will the mods work in the old campaign?
Kind of off topic here, but I wish the Mod Manager had some kind of 'Save Setting' for the mods of different campaigns so we didn't have to keep changing individual mods when we wanna play different campaigns. Like we would be able to save all of the 1212 mods together, then when we wanted to play 1212, we just click one button that switches on all of the 1212 mods.
I have all these modes but I don’t have them downloaded🤔🤔?
this game needs a mod that gets rid of hunnic artillery.
***** because I'd rather face hunnic cavalry than the huns having artillery. It bugs me.
***** Yeah but when I reach 1st contact with the huns they usually have large onagers
***** i said 1st contact not early game.
***** K. Oh and by the way i made the mod some time ago lol
is there a mod that makes the religous conversion threshold 1%
Is there a mod that gives you that reddish sky? My game doesn't do this for some reason.
historygeek120 It's random to be honest. This is played on the Summer, Dry setting. Chances are big that when I restarted, the sky would be blue again.
It's basically Rome II: Total War: Barbarian Invasion.
There is a mod than made rivalry go away?
guys the game is not even launching. is that possible to play the game without steam?? some body please do answer
i must ask..... are you dutch or from belgian? the accent sounds familiair to me ((dutch person speaking))
I'm Dutch!
I knew it ! we dutch people just have a certain accent when speaking english :P good video btw
+Jul 'mdama We English speakers notice this with all foreigners, and can usually identify French, German, Italian and Spanish speakers at the very least. ;)
Haha, I'm glad I wasn't the only one. Usually Dutch and Flemish people have different accents even in their English, but this time I was doubting, but it still sounded as someone from those countries.
i thought he was indian? :v
Still cant see the settlement when not in a battle. Rome one has put graphics but the game play was really addictive.
I cannot find the less projectile trails mod for the life of me. Help me out
Hi Kvlt
I'm searching for it now and also can't find it... :/
at this point i'm considering learning how to make the mod myself lol along with a less dust mod since my cpu sucks

I really wish Rome would make the whole world available, I know it wouldn’t be practical but I think that would be really cool
hahaha. ye i though about that. but we will need a beast pc
Does this disable achievements ? Haven't watched the video yet
do thees mods work fine with the previous 7 mods ?
is there a way to download these mods without the steam workshop?? for some reason mine keep crashing
***** Some of them are also on twcenter. You could try to find them there.
***** oh yes i found some but mods like more bold campaign borders mod is not in it it's a really usefull mod but can't find it on twcenter

there is already one nice mod. google for "seven kingdoms mod". you cant find it in the workshop so you need to install it manually...but they explain it at their homepage :).
Cool stuff, even though I already had most of these mods already :P.
Check out "Ancient Empires" on Total war center, you might be interested. Its under hosted modifications for attila
I know about that mod, great potential! I discussed it in my "Warriors of Faith" overview.
There should be a mod for Asia in total war Attila because its in the game
I actually love the Attila trails. Hated the ones in Warhammer and Rome 2.
So is there a mod to fix diplomacy ?
+Capitan Pirk I don't think so. :P
+Capitan Pirk
Bah, in reality during this time period, diplomacy was already fucked up, so much that the mighty Reik Alaric was forced to sack Rome because of that creature Honorius.
Yea, that may be, but Sasanids should still accept ceasefire after i raze half their cities and destroy their armies --_--
Capitan Pirk
Ahahah, true that, they shouldn't be stubborn as those foolish Romans. :D
Where they at tho
Were you from
Can you play multyplayer with mods?
Only if the other players use the exact same mods.

+threetwoonesixsevenonetriplenine but I think it's different..
are there any mods that give you infinite money on steam?
Fabritz Torres I realise its been sometime but in case you are still wondering, or if someone else reads your question and is wondering the same thing, then I can tell you cheat engine is good for adding gold. Norton thinks it is a virus regardless of where you download it from but its safe. just add to the safe list.
"Natural water mod" and "Don't lie to me, game" are outdated at the moment

+Viktor Von Kek Yes
Nice Dutch accent
You need a new pc dude holy shit. You have atilla looking like rome 1 ffs.
your videos are really sloppy, you over explain things and don't paste the link to the download
Dude, he's already showing you which mods he's talking about. Search them by yourself you lazy fuck
Attila TW is just so boring because of the time period.
Double D Why do you think this time period is boring ?
Units are all identical in all factions, even roman army is just like any other barbarian army. I don't feel like conquering the world with a barbarian faction. Everybody say Attila's UI is better but I think it's the opposite, it's much worse.
Double D the campaign is still head and shoulders above Rome 2 imo
This guy is Dutch AF
