      You can make your video +10 minutes last to make some extra "income" to boost your "leadership" and reduce "upkeep" for your own "unit". UA-cam unique building is very useful you know...

    - Press N for zoom (Good for cinematics)
    - Hold shift, right click and drag to draw a waypoint as shown in the video, but you can also connect it to an enemy, so your units will follow the waypoint then attack. Perfect for flanking.

      would it be good for flanking? when getting near the enemy will they auto charge to get the best out of the engagement? because thats half the point of flanking in the first place :P

    • @insanitygamer8820
      @insanitygamer8820 6 років тому

      @@whiskizyo2067 I think if you are using the, shift, R click and drag method they will auto charge, but when following waypoints, they tend to stop at each one briefly, which can mess up your charge or end up getting counter charged.

    • @twanhoekman4726
      @twanhoekman4726 6 років тому

      you can shift click to set a few waypoints, and then shift right click a unit and from there on out it will move as it normally would when given a attack order, great for ordering cavalry around a front line to attack archers or siege, they will still charge, less reliable for rear charging, since it's more likely that the unit you targeted won't be easily accesible anymore. You can still order cavalry to run around and behind the enemy army, only to then manually order them to attack a unit. Shift left click for the waypoints and then shift right click for a rear charge still works, but the delay means you sometimes attack units that are no longer exposed.

    6:57.. ONE of the most useful things.. ? THE most useful thing. I had no fucking idea, I've been moving my troops one battalion at a time to get them into the exact position I desired as you can't select multiple groups and expect them to keep their current position, relative to one another, and move them forward in that stance as they spread out into this worthless, horizontal gimpline. You have saved me SO much time and many pauses with this information.
    I am in your debt, sir.

    • @xtotalwarzone
      @xtotalwarzone  7 років тому +5

      Well, I'm glad that you know now. It's pretty much the most useful way to control units in battles. You can use control as well while doing this to rotate your formation.

    Another thing to add on regarding your first person artillery. It auto reloads whenever you enter first person mode. so, instead of waiting the full 10 secs, once your projectile hits, just cancel first person, and go back in, and fire again. Rinse and repeat.

    would love to see another like this but more focused on the campaign aspects of it.
    ie. using multiple agents to maximize profits in specific/special capitals
    spamming small gifts early game to get quick confederations (small gifts are $400 early game and go up to $2000 late game)
    which diplomacy ratings you need for certain deals (15-25 will get you non aggression/ trade agreements, 25-35 military access and so on)
    you can declare war on a target without them bringing their allies into the war by going into diplomacy with one of their other enemies and agreeing to join their war against that target (usually can ask for money to do it as well)
    as vamps, you never need to build a single military building anywhere, you can get massive battle site markers by raising a cheap stack or 2 of zombies to accompany you into any battle and make sure most of them die to get a massive body count at the end of the battle. if the death toll is over 4000 then you will be able to raise any unit in the vampire roster from the dead after a few turns.
    i dunno, shit like that would be pretty useful to a lot of players and im sure you can find things that i dont know as well. either way, i enjoyed this video dude, welcome back!

    Been playing Warhammer total war for years and there were some features mentioned here that i had known about but totally forgotten existed and stopped using long ago that are actually very useful lol. One thing that i havnt found info on is capturing artillery units. When winning against an army of the same faction in campaign it is possible to gain their artillery units after the battle by capturing them. I have 100% done this with dwarves cannons, tomb kings catapults and i think empire....But im not actually sure how i did it. Maybe it just a chance effect if the crew are driven off the artillery piece and totally wiped out, or maybe they need to be kept alive. Im really not sure of the mechanics but it rarely happens because you need to attack an army firstly of the same faction that has artillery with your army that isn't a full 20 stack to allow the artillery unit to be captured at all, so thats a fairly rare scenario. I just dont know if its 100% chance, if all factions can do it, if theres any in battle factors that count (like killing or not killing the artillery unit)

    • @Atokukau
      @Atokukau Рік тому

      Yes, it is quite rare but it happens under specific situations. Even I'm trying to figure out how.

    Regarding the Wood Elves Tech: You don't even have to complete the research if you need the building slot. Just Start the tech and you can immediately tear dowen the tech building.

    point 5 is the same for the doomdiver
    in point 10, hold shift plus drag is better. If you set waypoints, the unit will wait till it's reformed at every waypoint

    Does the sniping/guiding of missile work for Goblin Doom Divers? It would make sense as a guideable missile, and would be a game-changer.
