Norco Sight C2 Gear Cable and Outer Sheath Change

How to change the internally routed gear cable and outer cable sheath on a 2021 Norco Sight C2. With basic tools and some patience, this can be done at home. Not everything needs a trip to your local friendly bike mechanic! This video will apply to many internally cable routed bikes, like the Norco Sight and Norco Optic, as well as Trek Fuel range, Scott Genius range etc. Each bike has its own peculiarities. The Norco does not have internal cable guides - meaning cables are not internally supported. This means it's easier to feed the new cable in from the hand bars down than the other way around.
Tools needed:
- Replacement stainless cable and outer gear sheath,
(1640 mm outer sheath length and 1800 mm inner gear cable length),
- Strong wire cutters,
- Replacement cable ties,
- Allen key set,
- Philips head screw driver,
- Needle nose pliers,
- Wire to use as a hook,
- Bike stand (recommended but not imperative)
- Headlight torch.
