      Hi. Thanks for the vids. I have the same rear shock on my new Cannondale Habit, I’m a heavier rider 235, was big into lifting a long time before biking. Anyway my sag is going down past the 40 Percent marker a lil. They recommend 20 to 25 Percent. I tried adding air but my stupid shock pump only goes to 150 psi but the shock says it can go up to 325 psi. Think it’s just matter of continuing to add more air to get less sag? I just ordered a new shock pump that goes up to 300. Thanks

    I have an optic and a sight, the optic is great at climbing and snappy trails, but the sight, my glorious sight, built it with fox float and factory and the thing just trucks downhill completely embarrassing bikes that cost 2 or 3x as much. It climbs reasonably then chews up every chunk or speedy singletrack I can find. Fantastic bike and do recommend.

    • @mrvwbug4423
      @mrvwbug4423 4 роки тому

      Doesn't really have enough travel for the north shore. If you really are interested in the Druid, that is what Eric and Yuka are riding this year, it's taken some getting used to for them as they were both on Norco Ranges previously so going from a 180/180 travel enduro monster to a 130/140 travel trail bike.

    • @ianw3811
      @ianw3811 4 роки тому

      @@mrvwbug4423 Lewis Buchanan races EWS on it. Unless you're pushing for Strava times 24/7 or racing, "not enough travel" shouldn't be a problem as long as you can have fun riding. Even if you're racing, if Lewis can race on it, it shows the bike is up for the job. Also, the 140mm rear will feel like it has 10mm more travel with its high pivot suspension design as the rear axle moves out and away from the BB. Slap a 160mm fork on it, and you're set for almost any terrain.

      @@mrvwbug4423 I disagree, the suspension design makes it much more capable than the numbers would suggest. I know bcpov and yuka have had a stiff fealing but their bikes far from tuned and the suspension platform really comes alive at speed from what I've read, also the frame is suppose to be super stiff, that sort of stuff takes abit of getting use too. Anyway, This not enough travel thing is irralivant as soon as someone jumps on a hardtail.

    The Enduro feels chattery partly because it has really high anti-squat numbers (something like 120% through most of the travel). That will mean it will give lots of feedback through the pedals when going over bumps (i.e. it will feel chattery). The upside of the high anti-squat is that it climbs well. Interestingly, since it has anti-squat over 100%, it will actually bob up on each pedal stroke. I have ridden an Enduro a couple of times and it's definitely more chattery than my Remedy, but it also climbs much better.

    I definitly think you should use more time to get your suspension dialed on your enduro. I have the enduro comp version with the rockshox super deluxe select+ and I had to max out the voume reducers in the shock and add a bit more pressure than recomended for my weight. The backwards axle path is pretty sensitive to how you setup your bike, and I've heard that if it has to much sag you will not feel much of the benefits of the design. I found the sweetspot at 28% sag but this might me different for your shock.

    That fast downhill jump section looked incredible fun. Good stuff! I assume this was a Norco Sight 29? I think they make a 27.5 too, no?

    I was waiting for a video titled like this from you. I get the feeling the Enduro isn't panning out to be everything it was hyped to be? You've been demoing a lot recently and I don't think that's just for content for the channel 😉

    You certainly have skills! I think with different bikes and travel, there is a compromise some where. Ideally, we should all have 4 mountain bikes: A hard tail, a trail bike, an enduro bike and a DH bike. Since that is not always possible, the first compromise is to have a DH capable Enduro. Still need that trail bike.

    What mountain is this? And what trail starts at 12:40 (the big skinny) and the one following (flowy with berms/jumps)? I must go!
