Myself and my family had a honour of meet this fabulous couple and we are looking forward to spend more time with them as soon we get back... God bless you guys////. Love......
I’ve watched countless interviews from Jackie’s tours and this one is by far my favorite. You two are so awesome and have truly encouraged me even more to move to Panama. I had a huge smile on my face when talking about the children lining up for an orange. My dream is to move there and somehow work with children that are less fortunate than many of us. PS, I’d probably have a riding lawnmower as well :)
So very enlightening.. So happy you two have each other & can figure it out collectively. As a single woman, I’m done with the good ole USA! ! I appreciate your input and information. ✌️
Ben and Tracey met Peggy and John on the same tour. Peggy and John are the most fabulous couple we ever met. We are from South Africa and on our second trip to Panama we stayed over with Peggy and John and decided to also buy in Dolega. We bought a place a few minutes up the road from them. We are still sorting out our lives in South Africa before we make the final move. Cant wait to move and stay near our friends Peggy and John.
So glad to read your connection to Peggy and John. I love their story. We are also looking into retiring from South Africa to Panama in a year or so. Would love to hear how your plans are progressing. Suzanne.
I have been binge watching, esp. the ones of single women. Thank you Peggy for offering to assist those of us with questions. Covid is keeping me here in Florida but I hope to take the tour soon. Good video, thank you.
I love success stories. 62, retired military, (live in Michigan) Winters in Key West ( absolute Insanity) too many people. Quite interested in Panama. Been looking around Boca chica as I would enjoy fishing. I enjoyed your time. Thank you.
Jackie interviewed a couple who settled in Boca Chica. I don;t have the URL but you'd probably be happy to watch it. You'll find load s of fish to fish in Boca Chica. :D
Looking at relocating to Chirqui region of Panama from USA with my Fiance in about 3 months, we're selling our Ocean Front Home in South Texas and leaving the States for good, and looking forward to a much better lifestyle
Thank you for sharing. It was interesting to hear what your bill is for utilities and internet as it is higher than what I've heard others report BUT you have more land than what others have talked about so more water may be going to the trees and your internet plan may include more than others. It would have been nice to see inside your home. It was nice to see a little tiny section of Dolega. Sweet dog.
They chose a warmer town. As Americans, they likely use more Air Conditioning in their house than people in higher elevations. So their electric bill is likely due to the AC. If they're on here, maybe they will answer better?
It was so sad that John passed away only a year and a half after they moved to this house in Dolega according to the later interview with Peggy herself.
We are arranging things to be able to take the tour in the middle of next year. My husband has a extreme fear of flying and is trying to talk me into just staying after the tour and not returning to the US.
Some people do take the tour then stay in Panama. These are the tour dates for 2020 -- better hurry because they are filling up fast -- panamarelocationtours.com/tour-dates

@@PanamaRelocationTours hi , ty , ummm , my question was poorly worded ... can you find american milk that was imported ? like american name brand or packaging ? love your videos !!!
Of all the things to focus on with a move to Panama, your biggest concern is the milk?? Just as an aside dairy is terrible for you. Switch to oat milk or soy milk. Your body will thank you!
Jason Myers silly guy. There’s no difference between an American cow and a cow from anywhere else in the world 😂 and yes, they have cows in Panama. The better question would be to ask if the milk there is pasteurized or unpasteurized.
Pets can come in the pet cargo area of the plane when you fly to Panama. YOu'll need to get an international health certificate for your pet, then get that authenticated with the USDA (if US citizen) then get that all authenticated by the Panama Consulate. It sounds complicated but it's really very easy and your VET will help you.
Interested in the idea of living in a rural area in Panama. I live very rural in my own country.... Just need a better climate! Because -50C is getting difficult as I get older!!! Very outdoor oriented. We live minimalistic now (600 sq ft home). We pursue simple & slow living. Edited to add: I have never owned a riding lawnmower, dishwasher, air conditioning or any luxury items. So I think I would transition easier. I am also NOT looking to replicate a North American lifestyle, but would embrace living much like locals do.....
To get the Pensionado Visa, you need to prove $1000 a month in lifetime income (like Social Security) plus $250 for each dependent.. so $1250 in income per month for a couple.
It's a very long trip- from the States down by car. It's a very laughably cheap trip by way of Spirit Airlines, but the only way to buy a ticket is online. It's cheaper to fly to and from Panama by Spirit Airlines than to travel between places in the U.S., making Panama economically closer and more feasible than most places in the U.S.. Funny how that works. Plus, if you become an expat in Panama after a few years you can apply for deep discounts in air travel too on top of that!
Hello guys! What can you tell me about health insurance in Panama? is there a age limit to be insure. Please I will appreciate any information regarding that matter. I am 71 and not sure if I can have health insurance there. I have 2 option to be an expat....Panama or Dominican Republic what do you think about? I like very much your house is very nice with a beautiful land. Thanks!
YES, you can get health insurance in Panama. Here's an article we recently wrote about your health insurance options (I think you will be pleasantly surprised) panamarelocationtours.com/health-insurance-options-in-panama
Far is also measured in the cost of travel. The cost of travel to Panama is a fraction of the cost to travel to and from and between most American destinations if you use Spirit Airlines. A flight via Spirit Air from New Jersey to Panama, for example is only $110. How ridiculous is that? lol Cheaper if you depart from Florida. That's cheaper than a train in the U.S. or about the price of a Greyhound. lol Most people don't know to check Spirit Air tho and u can only buy the tickets online or at the ticket counter, but best online to get the best deals and make sure you get a seat.
i will be in touch with you guys ok, just be patient ok--i live in vegas and want to drive to boquette and things need to be situated here for me---im single 67 year old ---looking to rent a nice house down there and some property and rather close to the beach but not close enough to hurt my rent price
Amazing skill you have! You can tell the temp and humidity through a video or more likely you think the climate is the same throughout the country, from sea level to the vernal rainforest.

I would hire a local youth to mow my lawn!
@@laurayale369 lol, yes I agree with you. When I retire, I’m not mowing any more. :)
You have a fantastic property! I would spend much time on that porch just taking in the fresh air and listing to the rural sounds.

depends on the price. the tax rate goes up according to the value of the property

Sante Fe or Cerro Punta.
What is the minimum amount a person needs to retire there? I should have approximately $150k total? I know that won't be enough here.
