People should start looking into small towns like Potrerillo and Rio Sereno both in Chiriqui province and both have a climate around 75f during the day and 65f during night
Thanks for the great play by play! Coming to Boquete in a few months to start at least until I dial in my Spanish a little more, Panama sure is beautiful! Also can't wait to go fishing.
Great video. Thank you. I just retired in the US. I'll be in Panama in 2025 applying for the Pensionado Visa. I hope to be living in beautiful Volcan early in 2026.
Also, i think Cerro Azul is gaining expat popularity as well lately. Only an hour out of the city and undergoing decent development. Lots of birds and rivers, beautiful place!
Hi Rich, I watch your channel and haven’t seen new videos lately. I hope your new adventure business is thriving. Me and wife are working on moving to most likely Volcan area hopefully within a year.
for me, I wouldnt say that El Valle de Anton has moderate or cool temperatures. when I was there in December, it was typically only a couple degrees cooler than the coast and still quite humid. if I went out for a walk I would always be sweating by the time I got back home. I was running AC all day and then just a fan at night. one positive is that it does still get occasional rain into the dry season that you dont get on the coast. I wasnt able to get to Boquete or Volcan as I was there just as the protests and highway blockades were coming to an end. so I feel like I need to go back. higher up in the mountains and cooler temps are definitely for me!
I live in Boquete. Its getting more and more crowed since Covid. Love the area but traffic and parking is 40 years out date. New buildings popping up which is good, but no planning or laws to handle double the traffic and people. Back roads are just patched and never repaved. Very narrow and unfilled potholes are everywhere. Internet, water are mostly okay, but power drops out often. Everyone is friendly, lots to do and love the weather. But may not be here in 5 years if something isnt fixed soon.
The one thing we didn't care for in boquete, being in a valley surrounded by hills, the smell of diesel exhaust is sometimes overwhelming, depending on which way and how strong the wind is blowing
I lived near Boquete for 6 years. Why is there a Boquete crime group if there is no crime. The little urbanization's they built all over the area brought the crime in. A lot of crime and violent crime. Many expats selling. Volcan area has been sprayed with toxic chemicals for a long time. Many get sick with cancer and the doctors in the hospitals will tell you why. I felt sick when I went there for a few hours. David is good, I lived there, but its hot for some. And the crime coming from across the border is bad. The police in Chiriqui like to set up extortion points and get bribes. Talk to someone that lived there, not that is reading out of a book
Thank you so much for this information! What do you mean when you say "an American style home?" I'm planning on touring Panama next year with an eye to setting up my retirement.
It would include things like hot water not just to the shower, full-sized refrigerator, large windows with screens, sliding doors. Perhaps, washer, dryer, dishwasher
This was a bit of a lazy video, would've been nice if the host would have taken the time to show more pictures of the areas she was talking about, instead of us having to watch her read her script along with the subtitles, please learn to add some effort for your viewers, it makes a difference 👍
@@multitrackers3770 Oooooo....really, clever. Did you think up that retort with your pea sized brain. In fact, the audio is too low, and if you can't tell the difference, you are too stupid to comment on this. The point is to make the creator produce better product. It's a bit more complicated than your simple, self-serving, pseudo-compassionate exhibitionism.
Out of all of these options, you have missed the closest to Panama City, Los Altos de Cerro Azul. We are 1/2 hr to Dec 24, which has everything you need commercially and 1 hr to the heart of Panama City. By far the closest mountain community to all convenient needs in Panama. PM for more info

You should be aware of the seasons. December is one of the hottest months due to the summer starting. ..
Very informative and spot on! 👍
Fun watch, pretty accurate. Thank you. I've never been to Santa Fe, Veraguas, but it is on my radar.
Thank you. Very excellent video and informative 👍
Pretty spot on with the Boquete segment. I love it here 🙌🏽 😁
Very well explained ❤
Thanks a lot 😊
The Wandering Sloth has been closed for several months, sadly. We love living in Volcan.
Thank God! A human video- not AI created with wrong photos and wrong info.
What is the rainy season like? How much rain are we talking?
Rains a lot during the long rain months, was there Oct ‘23 and rained almost daily just expect sun showers!

Interesting report. Is there more current information?
Thank you so much! Which town would you recommend if you’re looking for a mountain town with an ocean view?
Hi.. is there any good business opportunity in panama
Thanks for your good video!
I think I will check out Volcan to start with?!

How about Cerro Azul?
You clean forgot about Altos del Maria !
Cerro Azul...
How a out La Laguna de San Carlos, Altos del María, Chicá and Cerro Azul?
That's fine. Lets keep it a secret. Go to Boquete!!!!
Advice: the language in Panama is Spanish . Expats have to learn Spanish.
good info. for more information, instead of talking head put a video from related locals

the audio is fine. Your comment stinks. Do better. It isn't rocket science.
