Dating modern women via online dating yields a similar experience to being sent to an insane asylum.
You probably need to be at least an 8 out of 10 and get a professional Instagram photographer... I have a six pack and 18 inch arms and a great paying job but I can't setup a date through tinder for the life of me anymore. Women are incredibly flaky and 2023 is way more competitive than it used to be with these apps. It's a waste of time unless you get your pics on point and become a text God. Which takes practice. I'd recommend leveling up on life before even trying. Otherwise it may destroy your self esteem. Professional photos go a long way

Coming from a guy who’s had plenty of success on dating apps, YES, they are a waste of time (in 2021) im 33 now born and raised in nyc. When dating apps took off around 2008, it was a brand new market. You could have the crappiest picture and still hook woman. Hell, i’ve even met chicks the SAME day i messaged them. It was new, fun, a rush and a good time to be alive. However , the dating app scene is just terrible. You have to have professional pics, 6 pack abs, your car ect just to get a reply back. Im good. After 25 years old, i stopped doing the dating apps cause it hindered my in person game.
Yep, it’s an absolute joke. I’m not a bad looking guy at all, and can’t get a match to save my life lol. I’m in NYC too, so it’s shocking. If I do get likes, the’yre from bots, catfishes, girls from miles away or hideous ones. You’re right about the professional pics. I took one from my Nikon, just to experiment and it worked. The likes came flooding in, just from 1 portrait shot. It’s kinda sad, that we need to go that route. I’ll probably delete it, and just stick to in person interactions.

I have hooked up with/dated well over a dozen women from dating apps. none of them stick around for more than 2 or 3 months. The one woman I was with who was worth investment and long term time was introduced through a mutual friend and never used a dating app. Yes, dating apps are a waste unless you're just trying to get laid, but if you're anything less than an 8 to women, even that's a waste of your time.
I am sick and tired of the same demands from women (on every app and every age gap) demanding to meet a guy who likes to travel often, but then expects him to pay for the air fares, hotels, food, gifts, liquor, etc. Oh and lets not forget that he must look like a runway model (even if she is a fat quasimodo who looks nothing like her posted pictures).
I expect honesty and consistency from men. That’s it really. No one has to pay for me for anything. I can’t find a decent guy and it’s depressing. I’m 35. I’m giving up on the dating apps. Sick of meeting men who only want sex and are incapable of committing

Dating apps are horrible. They never want to meet me in person and yet they make some excuse for me to give them money in the form of gift cards or they want me to give them my smartphone username and password. They are still trying to trick me to give them money without seeing them in person.
Online dating is just a marketplace for broken toys.
You can get potential matches but to get to the actually date in person is a mission. What happens in person well you get very average or below average looks and dysfunctional communication from broken and damaged women.
You are absolutely right. These women have no idea how to communicate properly and the emotional damage is unbelievable.
Ask for a date and number directly after a few messages, cold approach works and is less frustrating. If they refuse or talk shit then goodbye. Better use your time for more productive things.
But yeah I agree most women on these dating apps are resentful, hateful, and have no communication skills. Been using these apps for a few months and almost all my dates were disturbed women.

The women i met in real life ended up not looking anything at all like on the pics and they give the p-sleeve way to fast for someone saying wanting a LTR. Its just not worth anymore in my opinion. They don't even look at your profile beyond the pictures. I stopped the dating game a long time ago to focus on myself but if you are really interested in dating you are better off doing offline dating and meetups.

Unless you’re putting your best self out there and are at least an 8/10, then yes it’s a waste of time. You need to be able to exercise options otherwise you’re settling for who picks you, which is not a desirable position to be in. I think almost any male, except those dealt a shitty genetic hand, can become an 8/10 if they put their best foot forward, which means attaining really good fitness, having good game to compliment your style and looks, and having a nice career to provide resources for you to spend time and energy on the enterprise.

Yes unless you're extremely good looking. I don't care what copes you guys come with either. There's a big deterministic component of your looks too. You can't gym your way out of being short or not having a robust facial structure. Should you give up entirely if you don't have those? No, but I have to keep it real your odds will not be good when she's getting matches who are 6'+ with good facial features, lean, have money, etc.
I agree that you can't gym your way over facial features or your height. But I will say this, getting fit and semi-muscular looking to the point to where you fill out a T-shirt and look like you work out can definitely help. I think that even if you're average looking and you do have a muscular frame you can be far more successful dating in the real world versus online. My buddy is built pretty good and he's never had a problem getting women. He meets them at the gym all the time or at least he used to. But a while back he got on a dating site and he had a harder time.
Looks can only get you so far. Thing is most men lack style, have poor hygiene, lack of social friends, then hop on tinder hoping for the best. Not how it works. Then they bitch and complain about not looking good. Men lack marketing themselves which is what Tinder is. The most memorable thing when I used Tinder was dating an actress and meeting up with her. I'm an average lookin dude, kept the conversation simple and met up.
The thing is most men in the world are out of shape and soft as fuck so you putting on 20+lbs of muscle, wearing clothes that fit, putting on a good smelling cologne and being well groomed can turn man who's a 4 or 5/10 to a 7-8/10 easily.
Think about it like this, would you rather date a beautiful woman who looks like she eats whatever she wants and has a plain body or an average looking girl in the face with an amazing body? I mean we're all different but i will take the amazing body anyday of the week.

It’s best to know what you’re dealing with in the dating app. I did a search of a 100 miles radius from where I live, which in between LA and San Diego. 92% of the women were over 40 years old and 85% women were over 50 years old. Only 25% had a college degree.
So if you are under 40 years old, a dating app is not for you.
Being on a dating site is just chasing women with extra steps. Rich himself always says "chase excellence, not women," and I miss his BTT show merely because it touched on chasing excellence more than TUA.

Shooting the breeze with women when your unattractive could end you with harassment charges so its just not worth it. Women could cause major problems for men with just a single word to HR, the cops or a bouncer
I brought back a candy bar from Europe for a girl in my office per her request. Got her a second one during my next business trip to Europe even though she didn't ask for it. Tried to be nice and gave it to her when I got back. Then was called into the HR office and HR told me that I was being considered for termination for sexual harassment. Lot of success on dating apps, but it depends on the guy. If you’re not confident or carry some edge or appeal, it will be difficult. It helps to be attractive, but with some edge you will do well.

Match has the most flakey baggage ridden women on it in my experience. Tinder has the most fake profiles and Instagram follower seeking wastes of time. Bumble has the best looking women on average. Plenty of fish has the pond scum of dating. Zoosk you have to pay for to get the benefits but has a nice range.
Match is almost like picking out which mental patient you message. So many damaged lunatics on there. Also where Alpha widows go to retire....

I totally agree about "Match". I dated a real narcissist. She was desperate to find a husband after her previous hubby caught her cheating and dumped her. She cheated constantly and was a sex nympho which was fun at first but then she would do crazy things like disappear for days. Finally she went to Match and met a guy who married her within a month. Poor guy.
My own experience: the best way for me was, is and will be to find a g is at the store, work, gym, out and about… cuz they always approached me there. So it’s easy for me. Clubs, sites and online (except FB) are horrible places for me to find a woman… so the answer is, all depends on your personality I think..
And age. At the gym almost every girl is too young for me and the ones who are old enough are married.
For most guys the problem is not matching.. its being used as a circus aninal where they want you to jump through torched hoops and entertain them.. and so it comes down to who is the vest entertainer... and even then it likely leads no where after putting in all the effort...
Its a time waster for most men, especially.if you are under a 5.. zero chance
How to use Tinder right and get good dates:
1. Make sure to be high value and attractive.
2. Take good/pro pictures and write a short, witty, original and qualitative profile text.
3. Do NOT swipe. Just pay the subscription fee and do something more productive with your time.
4. Come back later and choose in the pool of women who have swiped right on you which one(s) you want to use your time on.
5. Engage in a playful and relaxed conversation, never write about sex at this stage, and set a short date early on if the tone is right.
And of course, always be confident and never simp. You're welcome.
Also be prepared to walk away or spend lots of cash.

You mentioned the "game-ification" aspect and your suggestion is that men just not take it so seriously and just enjoy the process. I think that with a lot of guys, if they want a game. They won't be turning to dating app, they'll be turning to X-box or Playstation. At least then, there is an enjoyable process. If you are an average looking guy or below, online dating apps are a waste of time and money, and it is even worse if you are a guy living in a rural area where the low density of population and the distance make things more complicated.

The apps are a dumpster fire in 2022.
I havent used one in abt a year and a half but id be interested in a deeper dive into how much a difference location makes. Ex I live kinda in the middle of nowhere in the south and half the women here already are physically unattractive due to weight or have at least 1 kid. The population of actual attractive women is like maybe 30% and then actual hot or beautiful is maybe 15% . but bc they seem to know they are attractive they are some of the worlds worst for being spoiled for choice and seem to have no other standards for dating over who tickles their interests.
Id be interested to see how that compares to a much larger location where there are 10 times the women to see if its as rough or not.

Here's a question for you guys. When's the last time you saw a woman you even wanted to cold approach day to day? It's been quite awhile for me since I saw a fit attractive women dressed feminine.
In the Bay Area where I live, all I see daily are a sea of larger women wearing black stretch/yoga/sweat pants, old jeans, baggy shirts, or sweatshirts. I even saw a middle aged white woman wearing an oversized Mexican poncho last week. 🤣
Now maybe this is due to pandemic laziness. Or maybe since women rely on apps/social media to meet men, they feel no motivation to try attract men day to day IRL. But between the growing population of plus size women and lack of effort in appearance, I don't want to cold approach anyone anymore. LOL
YES! Thank you for saying this. This is exactly my experience too. I have zero problems getting girls in real life. But, in my day to day life I almost never come across any women I would bother with. Online dating is much the same, just unattractive women with a ton of filters, you meet them in real life and surprise surprise she's gross. Like what the hell is a guy to do? Where do you even meet eligible single women anymore?

Online dating is mostly for losers. This was well established back in the early 2000s. It’s actually very easy to date people without the internet just go out and socialize. You’d be surprised.

Also, as has been said a million times over if you're not a top 10% guy in at least one category (money, looks, status) its going to be that much harder/disappointing.
After all the time I've spent on them and the thousands of profiles I've swiped through I've never gone on a date and might have 30 matches, lifetime.
But then again I'm not that mad about it because I'm not a 6'+ hedge fund manager with a 30ft catamaran and a penthouse on the top floor, so it's to be expected.
