One nit to pick: The image of the Bell X-2 (which crashed, killing Mel Apt) is not the right plane. That is the X-1-1 (46-062, "Glamorous Glennis"), which had a maximum speed of about Mach 1.2 - the first plane to break the sound barrier. Apt's death happened because he had pushed his airplane beyond the Mach-3 threshold that computers could then simulate and his airplane lost control due to inertia coupling.
Please remember to include the Canadian Avro Arrow. Built in the mid-1950's, with the planned Orenda engine, it was forecasted to exceed Mach 2.4. The Skyrocket had exceeded Mach 2.0 in 1955, but it was a research aircraft. The Avro Arrow was intended for mass production. Five were built. Four were destroyed. One has never been found.
I had a model of that particular F-14 Tomcat. VF-84, Jolly Rogers, 202, USS Nimitz. This squadron, and that particular aircraft stars in both The Final Countdown, and Executive Decision. No fighter had a more menacing livery.
Slight nitpick: the swing-wing jets would have their wings fully swept back at top speed. They only swing their wings forward to take off and land. Also, the SR-71 model depicted is incorrect, that is an A-12. The SR-71 has a distinctive hump. Same family, different aircraft.
While all these speeds are attainable by the respective aircraft, most can only do so at extreme maximum attitude then falling into a steep dive with full thrust. The more accurate comparison would be supersonic cruise speeds within operation altitude. The US X series of experimental aircraft are all rocket propelled, which is a completely different set of characteristics than the other aircraft. The MiG25 "Foxbat" could reach Mach 3.2 to 3.5 at operational altitudes, but to do so the pilot had to push the engines so hard that they would either damage themselves beyond repair or just completely destroy themselves. The Valkyrie and the Su-47 were failed experiments that flew as proof-of-concept aircraft moreso than anything operational. As you get closer to the Earth's surface, the air gets more dense thus causing exponentially more linear friction on the leading edges of an aircraft. This makes supersonic flight at near sea-level altitudes impossible for 99.9% of aircraft. This is due to either lack of sufficient thrust, drag coefficients being too great, or extreme heat from friction causing material failure. A few of the aircraft shown can reach supersonic at near sea-level, if even for very short periods. The MiG25 and it's younger brother, the MiG31. The F-14 was notorious for doing so because naval aviators liked causing chaos on the water's surface. The F-15 can in short bursts as can the Eurofighter Typhoon. At low altitudes, many of the other aircraft have to dive to reach Mach speeds. The fastest jet propelled aircraft can cruise at Mach 1.5 at 10k to 20k feet elevation, which is a testament to its design as doing so is EXTREMELY taxing on almost any other aircraft. That would be the SR-71 Blackbird and it's older brother, the A-12. So all these speeds are viable by their respective aircraft...just many caveats exist to do so. @@juhovalio5906 speed is not as much of a priority in modern jets. It is better avionics, maneuverability and most importantly stealth in fifth-gen aircraft. It won't make much difference if you go mach 2 or mach 3 to a hypersonic missile.

All that speed isn't really going to matter much in a dogfight if you keep overshooting your target, letting the enemy get on your tail to take potshots at you. During the Korean War, a new, cutting edge US F-84 Thunderjet tried to get on the tail of a rickety, old KPAAF Po-2 biplane, but wound up stalling and crashing.
AFAIK, the X-15 is considered a different class of craft. As of now, the fastest *known* air-breathing craft is the SR-71, but that will in all likely hood be smashed by the forthcoming SR-72….

(342 m. pr. second) The speed of sound depending on air tempeture is around 1080 km pr. Hour (300 m pr. second) You write: mach 2,25 = 2778 km pr. hour. (Su 35) Mach 2,25 = 2430 km. pr. hour. A difference of 348 km per hour.
Also you have one error in your otherwise magnificent video. The planes going full speed like the Flogger should have their wings swept back. Forward wings are for slow speed manueverability.

It's shown incorrectly. It's max speed is M=2.45, and M=2.1 is a cruise speed. And they will get a new engine soon.
