That POV shot was freaking amazing!
I give you an idea for a video.
Try to list the 30-40 richest people in the history of mankind on top of their wealth adjusted to the current money value, represented in 1 dollar bills.
Sorry for my english
My head can't explode twice... GS
Still no news on the monsters size comparison video 😢….
Where are the Russian submarines ? 😅Russia is first in missiles with MHD technology...
Man... I remember the first videos, all-white 3D static models, now we have full colored animated POVs. The quality of the content really grown. Congrats MBS.
the POVs were gorgeous!
he has also taken inspiration from RED SIDE with static camera with in this case boats passing by and POV view
I also member
as one of first to view (without acc) I loved them
Was thinking the same thing! Lobe this channel what cool content
I love that you included the perspective shots for the second half of the video, it really makes it easier to understand just how fast some of these things are
and how small/large
If you're wondering why the Spirit of Australia hasnt had its record beaten and still stands since 1978, it's because people have tried to beat it, but its stupidly dangerous to go that fast on a boat, and a lot of people have died trying. If the boat hits some waves or gets slightly airborne, it tends to flip and causes a horrific accident and usually disintegrates.
Yep, the record is just too dangerous to attempt. For the reasons you mentioned you pretty much have to possess a death wish to go after that record.
yep... only another crazy Aussie can beat that record.
That’s what ultimately happened to Bluebird K7, piloted by Donald Campbell, when it was going for 300mph.
Worth noting though, Spirit of Australia 2 is in development, with eyes on beating the previous record!
Starting in the early 1990s, Warby built a second jet boat, Aussie Spirit powered with a fresh Westinghouse J34, but he never made a record attempt with it.[8] Warby and his son Dave then worked on a new boat, Spirit of Australia II, powered by a Bristol Siddeley Orpheus jet engine taken from an Italian Fiat G.91 fighter.[9][10][11] This was completed in December 2004. In 2007 Ken Warby handed over the reins to his son who achieved 314 km/h (195 mph; 170 kn) on a testing run on Blowering Lake in 2018.[12] As of 22 May 2021 the team are still modifying the design
Is it lethal? Yes. Is it fun? Most likely.
I'm amazed that submarines are able to propel themselves that fast underwater, that's an accomplishment
And scary!
@@wildman2012 Especially for the K-222 where crews described noise levels inside the sub to be around 100 decibels at top speed. 😱
Speeding is actually easier underwater, because of no surface wake.
But still, it is impressive.
@@musaran2 do you really think the drag coefficient of an object moving completely under water is less than an object riding on top?
@@surfstarcc1 No, but climbing "on top" of water (hydrofoils, speedboats, ekranoplans etc) is a different category that tries precisely to do away with that pesky wake.
Riding "on" water by solely buoyancy (classical boats) tops out around 50 km/h (single-hull) to 100 km/h (trimaran), when they have to climb their own wake.
I was wondering if you were going to include surface effect ships. Glad you did. I enjoyed the POV shots. A few of those at the end of the video are a nice bonus. 👍
caspian sea monster really is just "plane but water"
Ekranoplanes are the best planes... except when there's no water.
@@Ryusennin Indeed they have no contact to the surface inflight. Technically they are able to cross flat surfaces like ice for example.
@@Ryusennin the water requirement is a designed requirement, a ground effect vehicle like them can be built to work from land as well. They can get to about 30 feet ( 10 metres roughly ) into the air and only need wing clearance for passage.
With a name like that, no one would argue if it just wanted to sit and stare at us.
@@Ryusennin Grounds effect aircraft like ekranoplanes don't need water. They much prefer long stretch of solid flat surface with little variation or disturbance for very long distance like great plains or calm sea or lakes . They actually fare badly in open ocean due rough seas.
That was so scary standing on the pier when a Caspian Sea Monster came at me 😱😳😨
Awesome videos, the inclusion of Torpedoes and Ekranoplans really was a great idea! I just have one gripe: I'm a bit of an Ekranoplan nerd and the model shown in the video is not in fact the Caspian Sea Monster but its successor, the Lun Class
Подтверждаю, это Лунь
Was going to post this as well.
they also have these craft achieving these speeds while in the water, which was not possible. if they're going to include these failed boondoggles as "water machines" i suppose they should count every sea plane, which would severely throw off the scale.
Riding in the boats was pretty fun! 😀
Clean adrenalean

Oh yes, maybe of one of a Fastest Land Vehicles 3D Speed Comparsion.
Would love to see this, but for fish/ocean creatures.
@@SonictheHedgehogBandCalm down buddy, we all know Mario is faster than you.😜
Show stacks of money in various sizes to compare the average incomes of various countries, from third world to thriving modern economies.
Do this but with cars and trucks. Maybe other vehicles as well.
What a fantastically entertaining video! I love the little details, like how the music becomes duller, when we go underwater or how the submarine goes down before the big ship that comes directly towards it. The alternate perspectives are also very good!
0:42 - Nice effect with the music there. 👍👍
When I seen it go from on the water view to first person view then riding on the boats, All I said was a big WOW each time ! Love how the Caspian Sea Monster shook the camera around, the guy on the dock probably got flung back landing on his butt ! and the music changing when the camera went under water and back, Genuis ! Outstanding video as always ! Please more of these videos ! I like them all !
Excelentes videos, Álvaro. Cada vez mejores!
For a second I thought this was in USD, I was about to be like; HOLY SMOKES!😂
Gracias
The Bluebird had a pretty interesting pov I couldn’t tell at first it had a bubble canopy that’s dope
I love the muffled sounds under the water
one of your best videos ever. Love all the angles and perspective shots!!
MetaBallStudios is a best channel about comparisons on UA-cam
RED SIDE is also excellent.
yes, REDSIDE is excellent too
MetaBalls and RED SIDE is on top for sure
When the drum n bass kicks in, you know its getting serious! Love it
really liking the extra perspectives.
Idk why and how but i was actually thinking to see ur video when it really came out!
Kind of impressive how many records the Soviet Union still holds …
The VA-111 Squall (Shkval) supercavitating torpedo was the first of its kind. It has been superseded, but the Russians are not releasing much info on the replacement, called the Khishchnik (Raptor), being jointly designed and built by Elektropribor and SEPO-ZEM (Saratov). The replacement will have improved range, probably post-launch stealth (to avoid revealing the submarine's location), and some form of post-launch guidance. An initial proposal was for a two-stage device, the first (stealth, guided) stage carrying the torpedo into the range of the high-speed, supercavitating (and unguided) terminal approach component, in a manner analogous to many Russian ASMs (supersonic cruise, high-supersonic terminal approach).
Funny how all those records are destroyed, the Caspian sea monster was destroyed due to a pilot error, and the AN 225 was destroyed by a Russian bomb
1.Cargo Ship MetaballStudios is loaded to brim with comparison videos. 25 knots is the fastest it can go before uploads.
2. USS Albacore sounds better than the alternative name USS Tuna Fish.
3. Wasn't expecting boat view. Nice touch.
4. I really thought you were going to crash the sailboat into the Cargo Ship during "Pier View".
I LOVE the audio muting when we go under water!
OMG, the dude with the pirate hat in the zodiac boat was so trololol. Cheers and much respect for your work!
i like this its like everyones having a party on the water.. suddenly when you go to the bathroom like @0:41
what an experience!!!
You keep getting better! Of all the creators who make similar content, you're my favorite!
Also LOVE the interiors and first person POV you put in there, would love to see more of that-thank you so much for your hard work!!
Not sure about those ground effect flying boats at the end. They aren't actually touching the water when at full speed. But cool, none the less!
Passing through telling all my favorite UA-camrs how much I appreciate them! Thank you!
Those first-person shots really make these videos all that much more interesting.
The little details in these videos are so good, like the music cutting out when the camera goes underwater. And I love all the first person shots. So good!
Jeez, you've really outdone yourself with this one! Awesome work on the graphics and pacing, really enjoyable to watch.
Would be cool to list their top momentum - mass * velocity. And include a modern aircraft carrier.
Nuclear powered carriers can do about 35 knots I think, without an air wing and stores
I really appreciate the hard work on making 3D videos and how cool they look after but this is next level quality... Hope you find a good balance making this type of videos. Do what you gotta do🤜🏻🤛🏻
Nice to see three different perspectives of many of the craft. Excellent work as always.
More water-related videos like this would be good
OH MY GOOD!!! It is sooooo awesome!!!! Especially POV!!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩
That was amazing guys! Another good job!
Hoped to see the Shkval, wasn't disappointed. But you also surpassed the expectations by adding the perspective! Thank you!
These new POVs are amazing. Keep this up!
What a treat, 3 different views! Nicely done.
The amount of work and evolution since the beginning of its chanel is impressive, a lot copied but never beaten. Props to metal ball studio !
Man, these videos keep on getting better!
Um dos melhores canais do youtube. Parabéns pelo trabalho!!!
Wow wow wow ! Your work is completely amazing ! The reflection on the cockpit window, the animation ! And I like the detail : the music changing when going underwater. 😎👍👌💪
0:43
Submerging the music was a nice touch 😆✨
This video was really a treat.
I very much appreciated the different perspectives.
The underwater audio design made me chuckle. Nice touch.
The spirit of Australia is actually a wooden boat built by a guy in his backyard powered by a $200 WWII jet engine. Hasn't been beat since the 70s.
this is quality content
I'm speechless on the animations!
0:43 The music underwater is a nice touch.
the different perspectives are a brilliant addition, I hope you keep that for your future videos
Incredible work, dude!
Like the touch of muting the music when we switch to underwater for the subs.
And the pirate hat was cute too.
Love these videos, so good and informative
Wow, the music when you go underwater is such an amazing touch!! Excellent video
Awesome production quality. Great work.
You could’ve ended the video early if you wanted to, but I appreciate that you went the extra mile for even more perspective! I didn’t even know we could go that fast on water! Awesome video!
First bit made me think of loads of questions. Second bit answered most of these. Third bit added extra clarity but didn't bore us by going through the entire list.
Nice thinking.
Nicely done especially with the vehicles passing the dock and the POV shots.
this was a pretty good one. not that all of your videos aren't, but all the different perspectives in this one was pretty kool. thanks.
Impresionante. ¡Muy buen trabajo! Y gracias ❤
Damn the 3 different perspectives made this video so much more fun to watch
This video must be one of its kind from you...showing different perspectives. Amazing work !!👍
I just...I can't believe how good this video is. Like, this is everything I could have wanted and I have absolutely no notes. I'm shook.
A someone who loves racing games, the in vehicle view from the Bluebird was sweet. Another great video!
I love how you include some different pov's and perspective so that we fully understand how fast they are. Also surprisingly I'm surprised how fast the Caspian sea monster was
They quality of this is getting insane!!! I'd love to see ya do something with the ships from Star Citizen!
Its a good thing that sub dived when it did, or Metal Ball would have been a metal rekt.
You are still growing in talent and skills, great video !
Me gusta mucho la perspectiva que usas ahora en los últimos videos
Me siento como si estuviera ahí mismo viendo pasar todo
Y la parte final me ha parecido muy interesante
Genial Álvaro excelente trabajo como siempre
Incredible as always. And every video somehow outdoes the one before.
Good job, MeatBallStudios, that was an interesting comparison!
I want this as a game.
These comparison videos are always awesome
Beautiful and well done, as always.
The way you showed them from different perspectives was awesome.
Thank you so much for another excellent video: 👍👌👏!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wonderful music effects for the submarines!
Awesome video man
Cool video, thanks!
Facts, perspectives, production level, humour... Everything is the top level! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Awesome! Thanks.
What a beautiful render!
Awesome thank you!
Love the little detail of the music getting muffled when you went underwater for the submarines.
That was fun, thanks!
This is awesome!
That was a great video. Did not expect the on board views. Nice touch. Cute pirate hat.
Esperaba al monstruo del mar Caspio, pero no creí que siguiera manteniendo el récord
Increíbles tus videos, cada vez son mejores
Pov shots are amazing!
Thanks MBS that was fun!
Fantastic, yet again.
Nice work man
I hope you make more speed comparison videos
*Keep up the fantastic work*
You all manage to get even better everytime. It is unbelievable. 😮
