First saw Motorhead at a club in Middlesbrough in January 1978. I was jammed up the front of the stage just in front of Eddie. Good night. Loud night, as well.
It was hard to follow up Ace of Spades, and the production of Iron Fist wasn't as stellar, but yeah, that's one of their best albums. So many classic songs.
A mighty fine blues guitarist, definitely my fave in Motorhead probably my fave member overall. The blues sound he brought to the songs, made him the heart of the (then) band. No Sleep 'til Hammersmith loved it, still remember buying it when it came out rushing home to hear it and practically never stopped playing it. Overall, I'd say Metropolis probably is my fave Motorhead song a cooler tune is hard to find. R.I.P. Eddie.
I saw that same show with Ozzy, the loudest band ever! All 3 are awesome players. My ears rang for a week after. Born to lose, Live to win! RIP Lemmy, Fast Eddie and Philthy.
RIP FAST EDDIE N ALL OF MY MOTORHEAD BROTHERS LEMM PHILTHY WURZEL RIP LAST OF THE OLD SCHOOL HEAVY ROCK N ROLL SAD DAY PLAY IT LOUD TO ALL YOU LIFERS OUT THERE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I felt it was fitting the motorhead og 3 passed away relatively close in time . Love there music .Love those guys . Love iron fist & everything they did . Lucky you seeing blizzard & motorhead , I did see fast Eddie's fastway in 84 when 12 yrs old. Thank you for the tribute .
gr8 tribute to eddie - and a gr8 first gig, motorhead at 15 cool - i never got to see the classic line up - my first motorhead gig was 83 with robbo - another pefect day tour
He had 2 killer solo albums ..It Ain't Over Till It's Over.....closer to the Motorhead sound..Lemmy sings a track....the other one is Make My Day Back to the Blues.....the second Fastway album All Fired Up is great....on the first Fastway album the opener Easy Livin' is a Uriah Heep cover....I absolutely love Iron Fist....the 40th Anniversary edition is fantastic.....the Glasgow Appollo show '82....recorded great and kicks ass !!!!
Great tribute and review of Fast Eddie Clarke's carreer. Yes love that first Fastway album, a classic! Wished that lineup could've stuck together long-term.
Awww! Hey! Not forgetting Wurzel too man! Wurzel had the minerals and was also a very fine fellow! So theres a fine line up of Motorhead in purgatory now hahahaha RIR
I remember being super bummed to find out that Eddie had left Motorhead after the Iron Fist album, but then Another Perfect day turned out to be such a great record, and Fastway emerged around the same time, so it was like getting two bands for one! RIP Eddie, Lem, Phil, & Wurzel...
Kilmister - Clarke - Taylor : will never be topped, ever
Wrong Kilmister Campbell Dee
He was one of my first guitar heroes. Sad news. RIP Fast Eddie
Fast eddie ..so underrated ! Best motorhead albums ..everything with phil ,eddie and lemmy !! Love the sound of classic motorhead

Iron Fist is probably the most under rated album from Motorhead. It was produced by Eddie Fast Clark RIP.

I love that story of seeing them live in NY. I would have shit my pants

Fastways first two LPS were great.

One cannot deny the influence he would have on at least one genre.
Damage Case I think is my favorite, but so hard to choose.
damage case is my fave.
A nice tribute.
Rip eddie fast clarke😭
Nice tribute. If you haven't listened to Fastway's "All Fired Up", you might want to. More bluesy and chock full of riffs.
Yep, had it on LP back in day, don't currently own it on CD. Mentioned it in the video.
All Fired Up is great. I agree Waiting For The Roar & Trick or Treat were lightweight
Awww! Hey! Not forgetting Wurzel too man! Wurzel had the minerals and was also a very fine fellow!

I saw Fastway open for Maiden and AC/DC on that 1st album tour. They were awesome.
R.I.P
Well done, Pete.

First famous death for 2018
I completely understand what you mean by his rugged guitar playing. Sometimes his riffs sounded like they were "rattling" if that makes any sense?
Whiteline fever, keep us on the raod come killer album
Only better guitarist than Eddie is Pete Pardo.
Do yourself a favor and check out Eddie's work on Curtis Knight Zeus' album,The Second Coming from '74.
it all sounds better on the original vinyl.
