To be clear, I am not demonizing or bashing any group of people. In this video I recounted an experience I had just a few days ago. Though what was revealed was disappointing and shocking, the words were not my own but his.
So, based on what was shared with me, I made an observation that I shared towards the end of the video. So, the only INDIVIDUALS who should feel guilty are the ones involved in propagating what the guy shared. The guy I met was a cool dude and I respect him.

Loving your storytelling manner. *Humans* naturally fear the unknown. Because of this trait, *humans,* especially in large groups (tribal group-think) can be easily manipulated by other *humans* with personal or political agendas. I have been in conversations where people native to Hong Kong suggest that Malaysian people are somehow inherently suspicious and should be "watched". From the outside looking in, ethnicity, melanin-content, religion, etc. are all just descriptors used to scare some *humans* into thinking a certain way that benefits someone.

But you or anyone else shouldn’t be surprised 🤦🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️!! This wonderful magical media - tv, film and now social media (forgot books) have been used for centuries (books) to build people up and break down people And we, due to an unfortunately losing the war to the Europeans, have paid negatively with the negative exposure of who we are ‘supposed’ to be .

Media has a huge influence in our lives today I think his idea of black come from TV or social media where black people are portrait poor or dangerous and those medias are controlled by white people. We need to understand that we are the only ones who can show what we really are. Let's take Africa people tend to think Africa is poor there are no rich in Africa but come and many will see that it's not what they think.

Well, I think this story is important because it shows that it wasn’t the media shaping his views as much as a white man teaching him that. What is the best move from here? The guy handled it the right way by showing him his humanity to cancel out the damage caused by the white man’s teachings. Mind you, we weren’t there to figure out what was on the white mans mind. Who knows if he was even justified-who cares-he will think what he wants anyway. All we can do is show the best of ourselves and keep progressing and keep traveling.

@whoohoo001 - really whoo...! Seriously! It's not a matter of truly (and not truely) believing it is a matter of fact. So, what does this have to do with me going back to Africa pray tell? In case you may not know, media, in its many forms, are all over the world, so its use as a propaganda machine will infiltrate every corner of the world. You obviously did not understand my point and I guess I really didn't have to respond to your lame reply but I was bored. Don't bother joining into conversations if you aren't on the level to understand them. Enjoy your day :-

Thanks for sharing! One time I had a caucasian man angrily yell at me from a drive-thru at a McDonald's where I was working, "Yeah, that's where you all Mexicans belong, working at McDonald's." I smiled at him and said, "Yes, we ARE good cooks, aren't we?" Afterwhich he muttered something under his breath, then quietly drove off. One co-worker asked me, "How could you stay calm like that?" I responded, "I'm not the one with the problem, he is." I can't help but feel sad for people that embrace racist prejudice, they are missing out on so much love around them!

How would you like it if black women constantly called black men pigs? Verbal abuse kills. The power of death and life is in the tongue.Lift up the women and the women will lift up the men. But I personally have developed my own opinion of people and I don't base it on race because it falls upon the old saying, you should never judge a book by its cover because you never know it might turn out to be the best book you have ever read.

I agree with you. I like your words. You should not judge people by stereotypes and how certain groups of people may be perceived. You should get to know a person individually. You don't know what you may uncover. I come from a wonderful Australian Chinese family. There are quite a number of mixed relationships (not just romantic) amongst us. We don't see them as of a particular race: we see them as people. That goes for LGBTQ and others. We embrace them because they are family and we don't distinguish who we love.

I just think you're awesome and amazing for sharing this experience. The way you explain every aspect in detail is very thoughtful and makes me feel your deep concern on how human interaction and reaction can change how someone feels about someone else when it's a positive experience. First off, this guy started talking to you which distracted him from the pain he was feeling. Then you both exchanged information to make sure you would be OK the next day. A very kind jester of trust and genuine concern for each other. And ultimately, maybe now he feels different about a race of people because of his interaction with just one kind, thoughtful human being.

Doesn't give a shit because someone doesn't like him ...that is infact a positive expression of his self esteem....he doesn't entertain the idea that he is inferior or has to go out of his way to cater to people who will try to put that negative thought into his mind as you have tried and i am here to call you on it...the term negative was only bought up by you when he had a positive response about his existence...you have the posionous mind set that you are trying to push onto black people who refuse to make whitess feel bad about themselves when they express that fact....nice ttry to pur that thoughr and or spell on this video but my spell is much more powerful and has totally desteoyed yours out of existence

Just want to share that last month I was in Shibuya Tokyo and had a pretty good time in fact the only thing that was messed up was all those black guys that are roaming the streets and constantly coming up to you in a super aggressive way to try to get you to do Shady things like one of those guys approach me at one point and said do you want Happy Ending my brother and I didn't know what he meant at the time but I have a lot of black friends so I didn't want to be rude and I shook his hand and said how you doing tonight brother and then he did not want to let go of my hand and kept pulling me too the corner of his side of the street and I kept telling him I'm trying to meet up with friends so I need to go but he wouldn't let go. If that was my first interaction with black people maybe I would be prejudiced as well. Apparently this guys are freaking everywhere and they hunt tourist in groups as part of some shady Hustle. I know some people are going to say that they have no other choice or no other way to work in Japan which is why they must do that but I disagree. I will also have to disagree that a white person actually taught that Japanese guy that black people are dangerous I don't buy that one bit. But I do know sometimes Japanese people with makeup a story in order to explain a feeling that they already had. They are also perfectly capable of lying just like everyone else in the world. Facts

Shoot if we supported one another by doing business with one another. For example. The money in Jewish communities stayes in the community 7 times before it leaves the community. In the black community it leaves the community after one transaction. If we supported black businesses and started and owned our own hair weave stores, nail salons and restaurants. Keeping the money in our own community. We could start our own banks and help one another grow our own economy.

It is not just an African American experience. I am blown away by many of you who think we should just go on about our business, focus on ourselves and don’t worry about the rest. That is exactly how we can continue to NOT affect change, how we don’t learn. But for the fact that he had this experience, he would not have understood the possibility of other races being told by whites to be wary of blacks. We are the most feared yet we don’t typically randomly shoot up a building full of kids, church goers, schools, or bomb an entire country. But this shows that besides the media, one on one interaction with whites and the lies that are told is what is teaching these other races to fear us.

@@Frosty_Cat614 Don’t you see the issue with that. It’s a disassociation tactic. Take the Coronavirus for example, Black people at the outset percentage wise were more likely to die from coronavirus yet literally by population size White people being the majority are dying in far greater numbers. Black people were being framed as the face of this issue even though it never made any logical sense for it to ever be the case. Yet for months that’s all you’d hear about, which caused many other groups to not take it seriously until it was too late. Funnily enough though Latino deaths percentage wise actually surpassed Blacks several months ago yet we don’t hear a peep about how disproportionately it affects their communities, but I digress. Don’t you see how that’s harmful not only to Blacks but other groups as well? Whites may believe it doesn’t happen to them while minorities get blamed and ostracized when in reality your far more likely to get Coronavirus from a White person living in America than any other group. I’m not saying we should blame anyone though, I’m saying we need a more nuanced look at our perceptions.

That's nothing new, it has been going on for decades, when I was a soldier in Vietnam in 1967, it was a common thing for some white soldiers to tell the Vietnamese girls not to go with the black soldiers, but of course they didn't listen, I heard it from a Vietnamese lady, so it's from the horses mouth so to speak. Even as far back as WW2 the US military "advised" the British women not the "mingle" with the black soldiers, but that too fell on deaf ears those women were not going to help enforce Jim Crow laws,as the British were already used to Black people having seen them arriving from the colonies, a slap in the face of the Us military. It's very sad. I'm half German and half Thai-Chinese (my Mom is of Chinese decent, but grew up in Thailand).
I was raised in Germany and from my experience, many German people have mocked East Asians, Middle Easternes and black people.
I have been made fun of my eyes, I've been accused of eating dogs, been called racial slurs and I am feeling very alienated.
Most of my friends are half German. I love other minorities, because we all know what we're going through.
And even though I also love my Chinese roots and heritage, I am worried that Chinese people can also be very hateful and racist against non-Chinese people. I am worried they would hate me for being half German. It feels like I'm an outsider everywhere.
And I cannot believe that so many East Asians are so hateful against Non-Asians. I feel like half Asians like me who are raised in Europe or America are very open-minded towards other people, because they have been discriminated, too. But full Asians who were raised in Asia are completely different and it breaks my heart🙈

I personally, don’t feel obligated to go out of my way to “prove” to other races that Black people are not dangerous and/or whatever other stereotypes they choose to believe. I have heard plenty of people generalize and warn about certain groups of people, but I know that you cannot lump everyone together. They know this too, so they either choose to be ignorant and not get to know people individually or they really are that stupid and easily influenced. Let me inform you if youre referring to "asians" its not japanese , chinese, koreans theres literally dark skinned asians , even in japan theres literally culture of having a darker skin tone as a beauty standard. How fucking ironic is it that the no.1 hate crime against asians in the U.S are from black people, not just so called "white skinned asians" but also filipinos, indonesians ,indians and etc. Maybe before you go on accusing anyone of anything learn about them first.

Unfortunately there is alot of negative stereotypes that are associated with black people, I wouldn't be surprised that a Caucasian told him that. Smh
The sad part is that the situation is not helped when all they see on social media and western TV is black people perpetuating, glorifying and endorsing gang culture in the Rap videos etc.. which sends a wrong message about blacks in general.
It will take time before the damage is undone.🇺🇸🇯🇲🌴☀️🌴
