      I was DYING laughing because that's usually the kind of thing that some guys will do to girls.....they'll try to Jedi mind trick girls into believing that they agreed to something sexual that they didn't agree to AND THEN tell them that when they did , that meant they agreed to some crazy shyt that they still never actually agreed to do! I never actually heard of it being done to a man though!

      I've been white(ok, whiteish) my whole life, and...
      I've been just noticing how naturally not real great at it I've been looking back from age 38 to first memories at 5. And oral hx of birth. And during a support group meeting few days ago for "Stress Management" where it was a group of about 10-12 men and woman all white with 1 black man who knew me from previous group meetings but I had not been there for 1+ yrs so honesty i couldn't remember him. ok so they brought in what I do call new age weirdo white people creepy music and we were supposed to close our eyes and meditate....off the jump...i'm thinkin oh Jesus I gotta get up outta here...so i looked up and i was just pure comic gold...everyone well all other white people were eyes closed except my thank god old friend i look at him, our eyes met both our eyes were wide open deer in headlights..then we just cracked the hell up..lost it i mean bad couldn't help it..at end of meeting...they asked so what thoughts were going through your head....then they came to me...this came out my mouth...just as if i had completely lost ability to not verbalize thoughts...i actually said this..."is this what white people really do" "Is this something I should know about or be doing if i'm white?" I had pulled of a real life Dave Chapelle skit if anyone remembers that skit you will see the amount of absurd stupidity lack of self awareness inability to remain silent even though I have the right to plead the 5th. take a moment let that sink on in. and just shake your heads silently. file away so if u ever feel stupid remember this. and you will not feel stupid by comparison. and my real hope is that you can laugh your asses off.
      Thank you
      God Bless

    • @johnblaze520
      @johnblaze520 5 років тому +46

      Yeah...Well i think everyone stereotypes everyone. When we look at someone we take a quick glance and make a general impression of what kind of person we may be dealing with.

    • @MaryRalladi
      @MaryRalladi 5 років тому +12

      I couldn’t agree more. As I see it the only way to solve this is by breaking those stereotypes one by one. And hopefully through our collective effort we can start a change. It’ll take time but maybe our grandkids won’t face the same stereotypes we did

    • @TKEGOODIES
      @TKEGOODIES 5 років тому +14

      Yeah in Germany girls threw themselves at me and my friend because as they thought we must have the Black Male stereotype. In Korea they thought we could all dance. My friend can dance and some people in Seoul kept wanting me to dance. Lol i cant dance. I'm moving to Japan in August. I've only visited once last March so it was i had limited time to get a general feel of the people but i expect some questions about things they may have seen on tv.

    • @HandleUnclear
      @HandleUnclear 5 років тому +33

      @@johnblaze520 there is a difference between what you are talking about and what the OP is talking about. Yes when we see people for the first time based on many bodily ques we take in subconsciously we create an impression of them eg based on how they walk we can determine their level of confidence, based on how they dress we determine their social status/ things they are into etc.
      What the OP is referring to is when someone ignored all those ques and determine your character based solely on your skin color. I am a conservative Christian black woman, the only skin I show on my body outside my house is my face and/or from my fingers to my elbows if I'm not wearing a sweater (and they are not tight clothing).
      Despite my conservative dressing when I moved to the US I have had many white men approach me under the impression I was sexually out there, lacked education (despite only ever meeting them on college campuses), and liked "hood culture". How do I know this they all say the same thing, they praise me for speaking well for a black person, they express surprise at my chosen style of dressing and they express disappointment that I'm not promiscuous. All of these traits I possess could have easily been determined by literally just looking at me if they disregarded my skin color and judged me on everything else.

      @pegan farm "If you go back to Africa and make Africa great, everyone in the world would be impressed and would sincerely want to be your friends."
      You seem to have made the mistake of thinking Africans need validation. They don't. Parts of Africa are already great, but everyone here is aware that you know jack shit about the CONTINENT or any of the countries within it. It's funny that you use "we" so liberally -- I'm pretty sure no one of any race wants to be associated with you. There's a pretty heavy dose of projection in your comment, because you definitely are a delusional compulsive liar with a low IQ (and probably violent tendencies). I can't think of anyone, African or not, who would want respect, admiration, and friendship from you or anyone of your sort, you demented little goblin.
      Also, you should've stayed in school. There are many "black" people who have no recent ancestry in Africa, only other parts of the world (like the West Indies), so there's no going "back" to Africa in any meaningful way for them. You have no honor, no intellect, and no future.

    You truly are a marketer, charming, intelligent, with great ideas and ideals, open minded and extremely handsome. Not surprised they tried to reel you in as a host...and more!😅 Oh, and you’re funny👍🏻
    Wishing you much (further) success, which I’ve no doubt you’ll achieve. Great advice, too😄❣️

    Mr. Deuce Griggs, you are amazing! You've got style and sense. Those Host/hostess cafes are notorious! Great advice on coming to Japan...I would tell visitors to the USA to go to cities and towns other than NYC or Miami. Visit Kentucky, Michigan, Tennessee or any other rural area because there are many sights to see there, also!
