@@johnblaze520 there is a difference between what you are talking about and what the OP is talking about. Yes when we see people for the first time based on many bodily ques we take in subconsciously we create an impression of them eg based on how they walk we can determine their level of confidence, based on how they dress we determine their social status/ things they are into etc. What the OP is referring to is when someone ignored all those ques and determine your character based solely on your skin color. @pegan farm "If you go back to Africa and make Africa great, everyone in the world would be impressed and would sincerely want to be your friends." You seem to have made the mistake of thinking Africans need validation. They don't. Parts of Africa are already great, but everyone here is aware that you know jack shit about the CONTINENT or any of the countries within it. It's funny that you use "we" so liberally -- I'm pretty sure no one of any race wants to be associated with you. There's a pretty heavy dose of projection in your comment, because you definitely are a delusional compulsive liar with a low IQ (and probably violent tendencies). I can't think of anyone, African or not, who would want respect, admiration, and friendship from you or anyone of your sort, you demented little goblin. Also, you should've stayed in school. There are many "black" people who have no recent ancestry in Africa, only other parts of the world (like the West Indies), so there's no going "back" to Africa in any meaningful way for them. You have no honor, no intellect, and no future.
Honesty, I would've thought it was to gain his patronage to visit the club as a guest...which in my opinion is worse. Easy to get into debt if you don't pay attention to the cost of the bottles (which if a new bottle is opened, I think they charge you the full cost of it).
Bro, you do a great job. And I can't improve on that compliment. You have a varied group of dynamic individuals in their own respects. I have a little brother in Japan now. He is military. It's interesting to listen to his stories regarding the personality of culture. Trust and believe me each culture has its own personality. We learned that greatly from just the black white American scenario we encounter here in the states. So thank you for this magnificent contribution modern day Society. I don't think our parents and certainly not our grandparents would have had this opportunity. Thank God for modern times.

I'm a boring white guy from the US living in the UK, and yet I can't stop watching these videos about black people in Japan. They're super fascinating and make me feel guilty for how much difficulty I've had assimilating into a society that's not even that different than where I'm from.
What an awesome young man! I enjoyed this video very much. I was stationed in Japan in 1986-88. I've been to Osaka. Japan is such a neat place. For me, there's no place like this crazy place I call home :) I hope to see Deuce continue doing great things in life!

This was absolutely amazing! I’m so glad I stumbled across this and I related to not knowing my neighbors here in America. It makes me wonder when and where our mentality shifted. Growing up Sunday dinner was the Church after party but not only are they hard to plan it’s even harder to bring people together. I am inspired to pick up the torch and bring that back in some form. So thank you for your perspective and just WOW. 🙌💕

He has positive energy!!! I like that!

*random guy walking with a hawk in the backround*
Hahaha I was looking for a mohawk...touche...a hawk Haha.
@@HouseofDavidonscene Same. The guest's haircut is actually a mohawk (the sides are shaved) so I didn't see it coming.
HAHAHA Super funny.. Spot on
I JUST SAID THAT ! 🤣
The interview was great, but this really took me by surprise hahaha
Lmfao
14:13 Dude carrying a hawk around Osake. That's something you don't see everyday.
Right....I was thinking wow my man walking around with a hawk on his arm. That's dope!
Its used to scare pigeons away from an area, like businesses in a complex may pay for hawk guy to come once a week, then pigeons stay away for good. Very effective.
or just guy with pet Hawk
I thought it was a golden eagle
lmao
Lmao right
So, like, everyone who passes the camera is wearing some kinda jacket and homie is sitting there in a long sleeve shirt
He is from Chicago, so "Osaka cold" is probably fine for him.
@@nomadic-mind Probably true. I got a buddy from Chicago that I've almost never seen wearing a jacket. It can be well below freezing and he'll have shorts and a t-shirt
@Complex Ez hahah, I'll bet. Most of my family is from Florida, it's the same there.
I was observing and questioning the same! Kudos to the replies for the perspective
It's a Chicago thing. We're really use to what some people call cold. Usually not that cold to us. lol
Really love these interviews. So good to see so many positive young black people getting out of their comfort zone and living to the full.
Ranzo thanks for bringing these stories to light.
Dude from Chi-town,i already know he must be cool peoples.i need to look more into moving to Japan,i could see myself living there someday.
Facts maybe to take tips though lol, we still got mad work to do in the u.s. fixing wise. Pretty sure they don't want us all moving there. Like Mexico and the u.s. if we go it should be to take notes then head back home to fix our own problems.
Rico Rich best way to see japan without committing is doing a volunteer trip (children camp, farm, internships etc) or summer work here! You get to see the real everyday of japan and if you like it can then commit to coming over. Regardless it’s definitely worth a visit :)

Nah some were changing directions and caused a delay in traffic because the video is taking up space. Others didn’t want to be in the video but can’t say anything about it and continue once the misdirected girl gets out the way.

Aaaand her friend🤣
You caught that too?
LOL maybe if it was her attractive friend he probably would be more receptive.
@pegan farm Who Hurt You?.....
Well then that explains it.😯
@pegan farm "If you go back to Africa and make Africa great, everyone in the world would be impressed and would sincerely want to be your friends."
You seem to have made the mistake of thinking Africans need validation.
@@edi4dex867 i scrolled down just to look for this comment.
maybe he kinda misunderstood the man. Because the man when they first met, gave his business card to him.
Apparently business cards are a big deal even if it's not about business and are interested in meeting you.
Ida Reis It’s all about business in Japan.
Best thing is always having a dialogue
Honesty, I would've thought it was to gain his patronage to visit the club as a guest...which in my opinion is worse. Easy to get into debt if you don't pay attention to the cost of the bottles (which if a new bottle is opened, I think they charge you the full cost of it).

sometime i feel this "Will Smith" Vibe from him
I was thinking the same thing! If he said he is Will Smith's son I would believe him!!!
He kind of reminds me of the son as well.
Omg.
Yea his mannerism
I was thinking his son as well.
Great interview! Another hometown (Chicago) guy doing his thing in Japan. What a personality!
Open your mind and heart and travel the world ❤️
I can listen to him all day, so much positive energy.

The host story at the beginning might be one of the best stories I’ve ever heard on UA-cam
This showed up in my feed. And I have to say...I LOVE THIS!!!! So appreciate the viewpoints. Deuce Griggs has such an awesome personalty. World travel is something I am very much interested in and it was really great to hear different perspectives and in this video, how Deuce navigated through this lifestyle. Will look him up when I get to Osaka. Thanks so much for having created this channel. Incredibly fascinating. Became a new subscriber.♥
"My life is gonna be like Anime..." jokes, I hope people don't think like this! lovely guy and interview, thank you for this series : )
Don’t be afraid to take a risk. You get knocked down and you get back up. Open your hear and open your mind. Golden advice. Golden video. Thank you so much for sharing♥️🙌🏾🎊
One of your best interviews yet! He seems like he would be a fun person to hang out with.
He seems like a great person. Nice interview.
You were made for this series. You were hilarious and oozing positivity!
Really great interview one of the top 3 on the channel. The dude has really amazing energy. The tricked into hosting was hilarious lol. Keep up the awesome work.
Such an up beat and positive interview. Good to see someone so comfortable in his own skin!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Really like this guy. He has great energy and altitude. He has a really positive outlook of his life and seem confident. The best type of people.
Deuce is the guy you pick first in a pick up basketball game because even if you lose, you still have a great time and you learn something interesting and valuable, and thus, you win.
Finally deuce, from watching countless documenteries. Yours, is the one I'm feeling! You've been in Osaka for five years! And haven't forgotten that you are a black, American . You make me proud, deuce . That your representing, The United black states of America! I'm honored and oh so proud...pacthes tyron harwell
What a refreshing and interesting interview. Keep them coming!
oh snap i met Deuce before. Hes a good man
This was absolutely amazing! 🙌💕
I love this guys way of putting words together. Just his language and body language❤️
"Don't be afraid to fail" Great advice

Dude at 14:12...soooo random, but totally Japan.
I had to double take. Like bruh just walking around casually with this murder Bird...
The fuck did he even get a falcon in the first place?!
bruh
I watched the whole video just to see Captain Falcon
ikr? This reminds me of this one picture I saw once somewhere of a random native Australian Aboriginal guy running around in his traditional gear (= nothing much besides painted skin) in middle of a busy crosswalk in Japan (most likely Shibuya Scramble in Tokyo) 😆
Once again, thank you for bringing us this wonderful and charismatic Brothers.

Mr. Deuce Griggs, you are amazing! You've got style and sense. Those Host/hostess cafes are notorious!
