This has got to be one of the most electrifying live performances I have ever seen and I've been to a ton of concerts. I can only imagine what it could have been like to actually be in that room with Conan.
I want to give a big thanks to this video. I've always liked Radiohead, but I only knew their most well-known songs. I saw this video in January and it blew me away. This inspired me to listen to their discography, and I regret not having done it much sooner. Thank you :)
Thanks to you for watching the video and sorry if I don't currently upload videos, it's just that not many have come out, there are quite a few DVDs but for fan films I don't like it that much and I'm glad that you like Radiohead, I have tried to upload their best lost gems
Never too late. And you shouldn’t have a single regret because what I wouldn’t give to be just discovering their discography again for the first time. It’s an awakening that will stay with you for the rest of your life.
The greatest of the greatest collections of guitar riffs on a single LP (since 1980) is on Surfer Rosa, Doolittle, Daydream Nation, THE QUEEN IS DEAD. &….. T H e B e N D s (honorable mentions: Meat Is Murder, The Stone Roses debut, Purple Rain, Closer, Bleach & Nevermind). ………..
You remind of that kid in high school that carried about a brick IPod with 1000s of songs. You remind of the sea when it is too dark to see it. You remind me of the ears of a man that has heard too much but still fucks with his earbuds stuffed down his holes. You remind me of the postie cursing at the dogs that will be euthanized in the space of a week. You remind of everyone at funerals.
@@6EndlessNameless9 Thom was on the fence about his pitch, so Jeff encouraged Thom to continue singing with his high tone and hit high notes in his songs.
@@SP-qo3pd Thank god he took that advice to heart and just freaking went for it. Thom really started to find himself around this period and i can only assume those backing tours with REM became the spark for what he and the band eventually became. Knowing that M. Stipe’s advice became the groundwork for How to Disappear Completely, i can’t help but feel like his wisdom and their convos seriously impacted Thom in a major way
They've had to edit it down and it's telling the places where they've reluctantly chopped. With gritted teeth I'm sure. Barely diminishes the performance though. Human beings doing amazing things.
Conan is a student of rock history and is a wannabe rock star and he had to be in awe at this. Its funny how envious he must have been of this song and the performance.
Lines were obviously cut for time since they only allowed 4-5 minute appearances. So they cut a few of the “wears him/her out” and the longer guitar outro
The respect the boys had for Conan for putting them on early in their career comes thru in the quality of the performance.
Quite possibly the best live recording of the song
Agreed.
I'll raise you the Glastonbury performance

Pablo Honey & The Bends era always the best for me
you’re so right
I know right ? Fucking great eras
At 2:50 when the guitar kicks-in, this performance achieves god-tier.
Does someone else think
his voice is perfect?
I can’t believe it’s been 75 years.
time moves by in the blink of an eye
More like 28
55 years??? LOL.
Honestly Radiohead fans are so down to earth and respectful.
It’s 79 years now ;(
Radiohead supporting R.E.M. ! I would have loved to have seen that
They just attack your feelings. This makes me cry every time and I don't know why.
the whole album makes me wanna cry
One of the greatest tunes of all time.
My favorite Radiohead song!
I cant believe i have never see this live version until now - wow! the vocals and sound production are incredibly crisp/

Even Pablo Honey has a few redeeming tracks, lot of gold in them that hills

Thom dressed the same as in the Just video
Thom goes somewhere for a few minutes
for a minute there he lost himself
Oh look! I still can cry. Nearly forget how it works

Oh my god wow this is just perfect
I love Radiohead this music so very beautiful
The youth were pushing back hard at this point. I was one of them........

Genius just genius band ❤️
Amazing that this has been preserved. 👏🏾
I have never gotten into Radiohead, i wish I had seen this when it aired. I think it would have really changed that.
Maybe you would have even recorded it in better quality.
Legendary band,wonderful
Simplemente hermoso, en mi opinión considero que en esas épocas Thom tenía una mejor voz y forma de cantar que en años posteriores.
He had a better high note and power back then
But his vocal range improved over the years
i think it’s really cool that conan had just seen them playing creep with the long hair n stuff and they did this the next performance
yes it's pretty cool
Thom voice !! Oh God…and Jeff Buckley would’ve blushed
goosebumps. every time.
Just a brilliant band top 10 ever
THOM IS SO SMALL 😭😭😭😭🎉🎉🎉🎉
heeeey I'm the same height as him 🤬
@@nerolives i mean i cant be talking...im shorter than him
1995: You heard it here first folks… they’ll never top this album
saw them in a small venue in 1995
The saddest song ever.
.....true love waits.
How to Disappear Completely
Not even Radioheads saddest but it is a very good one
Great sound quality, thanks for posting.
YESSSSSSSSS🥰
So great!
FN AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS BAND CHANGED MY LIFE!
Simplemente harmosa
A few minor TV-edits aside, it’s an outstanding performance.
i have a serious relationship with this song
It's like classical music, only this age's classical spirit.
Thom look like Johnny rotten here
hahah what
La fecha es 12 de junio, usando la ropa de Just, y el vídeo de Just es estrenado en agosto 😮
Ni me había fijado
Mi teoría es que grabaron el video en Nueva York, donde se grababa Conan, justo ese mismo día.
Jeff Fuckin' Buckley was right.
What did he say? Can you plaz explain

Thom messed this up a lil bit 😂
what do you mean it’s literally flawless
Yeah. Cuz it wasn't lip syncing. It takes actual talent
He got ahead towards the end haha. Good stuff though

Singing with emotion can often ruin the performance, in terms of execution. But he really felt his words here. It was sang with passion.
Touching 😢
